IC:

Dawnlight was running as fast as she could through the woods. I have to find shelter, or a place to sleep before it's too late. She thought. She decided to stop and take a rest for a bit. She never realized how long this small resting time would actually take. Dawnlight accidently falls asleep and wakes up hours later, near midnight. "Oh no!" she said quietly. "I took too long! Now I have to go through the dark..." Dawnlight sighed. She never wanted this. The whole reason she was rushing was so this didn't happen. Now that it's happened, might as well make the most of it. She thought. Her legs were ready and her eyes darted around. She stood for a second, adjusting to the darkness, before dashing ahead in the darkness.

Dawnlight's small, tiny legs and skinny build made it easier to slip through small cracks between the trees and easier to hide from predators. She ran as fast as she could, looking frantically for some shelter, or a sign of life, other than the nocturnal animals. "I'm never going to find anything..." Dawn thought, but accidentally said aloud."All this running is useless. It will no doubt benefit predators in the long run." Dawn sat down and waited.

Raspberry eyes watched from the shadows as a young female darts through the trees. As quietly as possible the male keeps pace with her, making sure to stay just out of sight. She was in such a hurry, he was curious as to why. He had gone on a night stroll in the hopes of finding something intriguing to strike his fancy. And so far this was all to wander his way. So why not follow her?

Black and white paws maneuvered gracefully across the roots and branches that could give him away. He had to be a ninja, so-to-speak, so that he would not alert her to his presence. That and how would he explain that he was essentially stalking her? That would just come across as though he were some kind of creeper....eh. Maybe he was following her like this but oh well. He needed some entertainment. All of a sudden, the female had stopped dead in a clearing. He overheard her going on about finding anything and how running was useless. He raised a brow at this. What exactly was she looking for or running from? Was there some creature or other wolf following her that he somehow didn't detect this whole time?

The black and white male took this opportunity to finally step out of the shadows. "Is there a point to your running?" He says softly as he circles halfway around her, sizing her up. She was a scrawny little thing with hardly any meat on her poor bones. She probably could be broken in half like a twig quite frankly. So maybe it was a good thing she had been running. Just about anything could hurt her or potentially kill her. "And what is a little thing like you doing out so late anyway? Shouldn't you be asleep or something?" His tone almost mocking like.

(Sorry for being so late to reply! Also, I get a bit all over the place sometimes so dont mind me!)

IC:

Dawnlight looked at the wolf and thought for a bit. She quietly replied, "I'm looking for shelter..." and looked down at the ground. She hadn't had interaction with anyone for quite a long time. She wondered where the wolf had came from. She hadn't heard any noises. Oh well. She thought.

Dawnlight decided to gather the courage to ask them where they came from. While they were doing that they spotted an owl flying above. Desperate, she decided to chase after it. Despite her small and weak physical strength, she could run very fast and had sharp senses. She hated to leave a place so quickly, and the guilt of leaving quick caught up to her and as she pounced on the owl she suddenly stopped and fell.

"Unn.." She slowly stood up and started to retreat somewhere else. She didn't want to be caught by something far bigger. It was still dark out and despite her good eyesight, she couldn't see well this deep in the forest. Dawnlight regret her actions and slowly walked back to the place she had came from.

Lyre watched the female as she looked away from him at the ground. So she was searching for shelter? While running as fast as she could? She must not have realized that taking things as quickly as she did would cause her to miss the details. Or miss potential dens. She needed to slow down and take careful steps to finding a place to take shelter from the dark.

Just as the female goes to say something she just suddenly darts off after something. Lyre stares dumbfounded as the female just up and leaves before the conversation had really gotten started. What in the world was this female's deal? Was she afraid of the dark? Because only true fear would make a wolf so jumpy and flighty. He shakes his head and sits down, wrapping his tail over his paws. He could hear all the clatter as the female chased after the nocturnal bird. There was a loud commotion as though she had fallen before nothing but silence met his ears.

While he was curious about whether she had successfully caught the owl, he didn't try to pursue her. Just watching her rush around was tiring enough. So he just patiently waited, hoping she'd come back. If she chose to keep going, oh well. He would just move on as well.

The sound of rustling nearby made his ears tilt to his right. From the sounds of it the female was coming back to see him. "Of all things to chase after....an owl? You really want the whole forest to know you're here don't you?" He said shaking his head and looking in the direction of the oncoming noises. "I didn't even have to follow you to know right where you were. You need to slow down and be careful with your movements. You're definitely not going to find a place to stay for the night running around like some crazed mouse."

She stood still, processing what they had said. She still didn't know much, because she usually just stayed at her home den. Finally, she replied. "I haven't seen anything else for days." She sat back down and tried to get her eyes to adjust to the darkness of the forest. She wasn't usually in dark areas like this, especially late at night. "But thank you for the advice."

Dawnlight thought of a plan, and sat in silence. She was also secretly debating that with her brown coat she would be hidden in the dark. "What should we do now?" Dawn hated to ask, but she had ran out of ideas and all hers were insane. They had ranged from climbing a tree to using magic laser eye powers to kill them. She was quite tired, and already had started to daydream. She laid her head on the grown and curled up, closing her eyes. She was still awake, just resting a bit.
