Onyx;

It had taken a little while to get there, but she had finally arrived. The Longgrass territory. One of the few small territories that wasn't claimed by any pack. Currently, the orange and black-marked female was at the border, but moments before she had briefly examined the cave system that the territory was known for. This place seemed very nice and generally safe.

Of course, there was a reason for Onyx's presence there, one that she had decided a while back. As long as luck was on her side, she may someday claim this land with three wolves or more by her side. Her plan to start her own pack had always been in the back of her mind, always there to remind her what she was in this valley for. She glanced around the border with her multicolored red and white eyes, hopeful that by the time she had enough wolves by her side the land would still be unclaimed.

The large female shook out her fur, sniffing the ground around the border. Her tail swayed gently behind her and her ears remained perked forward, listening for any sound that may suggest danger or otherwise. She had to turn her head more dramatically to the left in order to see in her blindside, but she knew to be watchful.

Zoey was once again walking around with no purpose in mind. Winter had come again and she had enjoyed the snow immensely but now spring was beginning to appear again. Her white fur was still thick to ward her against the cold but she could see flowers beginning to struggle out of the frost on the ground. It made her sad to see another winter slip away and she found herself wishing she could have an eternal winter. She looked up and found herself a little ways off from an orange and black wolf sniffing around. She knew this to be the long grass territory and knew it was unclaimed, so she didn't tense at the sight of the other wolf. Although she wouldn't have truly been all that cautious even if things had been different.

The she-wolf didn't appear dangerous and Zoey walked up to her with a smile. "Hello there." The wolf had been watching for danger and had likely seen Zoey long before she was close enough to be heard, and yet didn't jump up in alarm at the sight of her. That was good for everyone involved because Zoey disliked being scared almost as much as she disliked saying adieu to winter. She didn't even stop to worry about her safety or decorum in a situation like this, choosing to tackle the situation head-on and show that she was friendly.
