To the north there lies a mountain unlike any other in existence. White Wolf Mountain is home to the Power, a magical entity that watches over the land and, more importantly, the wolves. The Power touches all the wolves in the mountain's valley and allows for prosperity and peace. However, the Power is unpredictable.
Mortal wolves may journey to White Wolf Mountain seeking out the legendary White Wolves; magical beings created by the Power itself. These wolves belie gifts of magic to mortals they deem worthy, this magic being called power. Many generations have passed since the time of the Great Fire and the land is beginning to prosper once more. Wolves are beginning to venture into the Mountain, hearing the siren call of the Power. The urge to explore the magic that is White Wolf Mountain is strong. Can you resist the call? setting
Welcome to White Wolf Mountain! WWM is an intermediate-level, semi-fantasy, wolf RPG. The wolf characters here at WWM live in a valley in the shadow of the majestic White Wolf Mountain. Its the Mountain that makes this place so special. In its heart resides the Power that the White Wolves share with the mortal wolves living here!
WWM was founded way back in 2003, and has been going strong ever since. This is its fifth home, hence WWM5 and is one of the more advanced versions. We welcome intermediate level roleplayers who have a decent grasp on grammar, sentence structure and post quality. The requirement has been changed from 50 posts with two paragraphs each to 50 posts with 200 words each. This was changed to make the intentions of the rule more clear. November 2 2017 Random events have been introduced to White Wolf Mountain in the form of Mother Nature! Please see the news thread for details on how to coax Mother Nature into your open threads, or avoid her if you're not interested in any interference in your RP. June 3 2017 A new White Wolf Mountain advertising contest has begun! See the news thread for details—this year's contest offers all-new prizes as well as some old favorites. April 25 2017 A new sub-board has been created under Plots: RP Reminders! If you need to remind your RP partner to reply to your active thread or be reminded of which threads you still need to reply to, please create a topic here where other users can "Bump" you. April 8 2017 With big plots on the horizon, it’s about time that we’ve conducted another activity check! Be sure to post here to preserve your characters and be counted as active! April 2 2015 With the activity check in full swing, staff will be going through old character profiles and updating the list. Staff presence on the site is picking up and there is a ton of housecleaning to do, so make sure you check in to the new Activity Check! August 11 2014 We are proud to announce our first major site update! The staff have been working hard on some great new stuff to share with you. We have revised the site Lore and it is now available for your viewing in the Laws board. We have also finished the new Powers list and have picked winners for the Power Contest - Congratulations to Ketchup, Dew and Ninjie for your winning submissions! Be sure to take a look at the updated powers list to see whats new. We are also proud to announce that our website has officially evolved into an Intermediate level roleplay. There are no word count restrictions but we will be expecting a lot more quality in your in character posts including proper grammar, spelling and syntax.
