Creek's are pretty (join request)

A black pelted wolf had been sitting right in front of the creek. M smiled to herself while staring at Amoux creek, she closed her eyes and went deep within her mind this is pretty, how can I enjoy it more though? M tilted her head slightly to herself I should make new friends, how about joining a pack? there would be lots of wolves if I joined a pack! she finally opened her eyes and made a big smile. M looked around to see if anybody else is there, hopefully there were somebody there.

M placed a paw on the frozen water, she made a small crack then giggled. M then put her paw back then looked around again. M heard a small crunch sound, sounded like snow "Hello? anybody there?"

((Howdy! Um, I'm confused why this is a joining request. There is no pack in the Amouk Creek, as it is part of un-claimable territory in the grasslands. Perhaps you meant to post in pack land? ^^ Claimed lands are the Outer Reaches, Sequoia Woods, Sapling Grove, Wildflower Clearing, and Tranquil Meadows.

*edit: ohhh, unless you just meant that it's a meeting between M and Baal before Baal's pack is made and so on—?))

Baal;

A large form rests in the depth of the snow, his body flattened against the hard ground that's hidden beneath the cold, white, fluffy blanket. The territory surrounding the male was covered in either ice or snow, now allowing for the sound of running water you always hear in the spring, or for strands of grass to reach up to the sky. Instead, the surface of the water was frozen, just enough where it looks safe to walk on, but the weight of an average wolf would come crashing through the not-so-thick layer of ice. The snow forces the grass to get a lack of almost anything that it needs, causing it to turn an unpleasant wilted brownish-yellow and when the snow finally melts, random patches of brown, dead grass scatter the fields.

For Baal, the winter months were almost too gloomy. Populations will begin to shrink with the lack of food, and birth risks are most common, giving pups a higher chance of death and birth defects. All of these things almost make his cheerfulness sink, hence why he's laying in the middle of a deep pile of snow, freezing his tail off.

Other than the shallow breaths he takes, the area is completely silent, void of any other creature, at least up until a few minutes ago. Lifting his head, Baal looks over to the small cracking sound of the iced-over creek's frozen barrier fracturing. There sits a thin female with a smile gracing her maw. Her coat consists of pinks, whites, and blacks, allowing for the bright blue of her iris' to stand out against the dullness of the white and black.

He simply sighs, silently hoping that she doesn't decide to step fully on the ice, but as he opens his mouth to warn the female, her eyes dark over to his position and she calls out into the open air. His paws move under his weight, pushing his body up to his full height. He replies to the female's words with a clear, pleasant voice,

"Hello. I'm here." A small upturn of the male's lips give his sharper features a much softer tone, his cheeks pushing up slightly, in turn, pulling the usually critical feel they hold away from his eyes and replacing them with something more welcoming and accepting.

The male makes no moves to approach the female, but instead sits where he stands, giving himself a less intimidating and more open stance.

M;

She heard a male voice say "Hello. I'm here." in a calm tone of voice. M slowly walked just a little closer to where the male is at, she nearly looked up at him and smiled softly because he had a more open stance "Hi there." the female said still standing. Her tail swayed slowly and ears flicked a little. To formally introduce herself, she bowed her head a little and said "I am M, pleased to meet you, Mr.?" her head raised and tilted her head now wondering what the male is named.

She sat while still tilting her head, her tail wrapped around her and still keeping a small soft smile to her maw.

Baal;

The female approaches, her form calm, shown by a slowly swaying tail and her approaching him without questioning him at all or at least trying to get a feel of what he's truly like. She bows her head to the male, introducing herself as M, and referring to Baal as "Mr." The foggy-pelted male shakes his head, keeping his oh-so-familiar smile painted across his features,

"Baal. There's no need for any formality. It's a pleasure to meet you, M." He sends a small nod her way, a sort of sign to hopefully allow her to speak openly with the male, rather than being formal, as some may tend to be more withdrawn.

"How have you been enjoying this fine day?" The male chooses to question the much smaller female- His voice is laced with genuine care as he is truly wondering if she'd been having a nice day. To the sturdy male, every small kind gesture matters, no matter if its a smile, a simple "How are you," or even just a positive presence. So far, he's gotten to know quite a few wolves around the valley, each of them have taken a liking to his kindness, which only motivates him to continue as he's going for longer.

M;

The large male ask how has she been enjoying this day so far, M smiled slightly looking up at the male "Oh I have been enjoying this day a lot. It seems as if nothing could go wrong." she nodded slowly as she still looked at the male. M still sat down "How was your day?" the female tilted her head slightly, her light blue eyes were bright and she put her right paw in front of her. M looked up and down at Baal, trying to make sure that he was not harmful but so far, he did not act harmful in any way.

Her tail stopped swaying, she blinked a few times and her ears would flicker. This day has been good so far.

Baal;

She still seemed to be checking Baal for any hostile motives or strange movement, which according to his understanding, he did no such thing. Rather, he was fairly open and friendly with his positioning and movements, only making positive gestures. The cherry on top was his friendly smile that never seemed to be anything less than genuine.

The female answer's Baal's question with a smile, and something that he could get behind. Some days just seem to be going perfectly.

"That's good. I understand the feeling," he replies with a smooth, easy voice, reflecting his calm and careful nature within a few words.

"How was your day?" The female tilts her head, allowing for the sun to brighten up her eyes with a sparkle of the light reflecting off of her irises. She continues, what seems to be her trying to figure out his true intentions for their sudden meeting, but, as per usual. He had no real intention for anything other than learning a bit more about the valley and the wolves within it. Maybe he could learn how the White Wolves and the powers work. Then, he'd be able to make a trip back to Taboo, hopefully, next time, leaving with a gracious gift, given by the friendly goddess.

"I would have to say the same. I like your look on today. Today has proven to be very enjoyable." Almost unconsciously, the large male mimics her ear flick, although on a much more subtle degree.

Ever since he's made it into the valley, watching the behavior of other good-hearted wolves was what gave him his current, friendly, personality. Their, specifically his adoptive family's, habits, movements, and reactions have been most of what got him to go from his old, resentful self, and morph into an understanding character. Every now and then, he'll pick up some of the movements of wolves around him, but for the most part, he's learned to tone it down. A lot.

M;

The male smiled, he really did seem like a good wolf, no bad in him what so ever. The female had thought he might be up to something no good because of his large build but she might learn a lesson. That looked can trick you into thinking something else "Thats wonderful!" She was happy for him, she met someone that could be possibly a new friend to her. "I hope you don't mind me asking but whats on your mind?" M kept the small soft smile on her maw, hoping that the male would not mind the question.

She realized that the way he has been acting, it was good. everything seemed to be good about him and Baal's build looks like he could be some kind of leader.

Baal;

"Ahh. I never mind being asked a question. I'm just amazed at the amount of genuinely good wolves in the valley. I didn't come from a place with a necessarily good reputation. It's almost refreshing to finally be rid of that. The good wolves of this valley have made me who I am right now." His face never shies away from his smile, and his eyes never lose their friendly sparkle. He's open and willing to answer any reasonable question as best he can, and M was no exception to that.

With a slight tilt of his head, his eyes squinting slightly as his smile widens, he mirrors her previous question,

"Mind if I ask you the same? What's been on your mind?" Baal's tail subtly swishes behind him and his shoulders drop slightly, relaxing as he patiently waits for the female to answer.

Being patient is one of Baal's strong suits. He'd wait for a stranger no matter who, or how long they take.

M;

She smiled gracefully as he answered her question. He never let the smile on his face go, that was good, M had a better feeling about him, a feeling of trust. A wolf had to be that manipulative to gain her trust, but even Baal's features didn't make him look evil. M continued to smile but soon slowly faded when Baal asked the same question. M thought about it, she tilted her head down and sighed quietly "I... I'm trying to think of my past... I can't remember much or even any at all. All I remember was some one calling my name but, but I don't remember who did, I just remember waking up in the middle of the forest by myself. After then I've been alone," she looked at Baal "So I was thinking of joining a pack, there would be a lot of friendly wolves to meet, right?" M asked with a hopeful look to her eyes.

It seemed as if her eyes lit up brightly, she dragged her tail to each side of her body as she looked up at Baal. M's mind merely went blank for just a nano second only to think of a large male, a green one, he looked familiar but M just couldn't put her paw on it. There was a flash of a memory were M would remember playing with the male as a pup. M shook her head, no, it was just imagination, she didn't know any wolves with the same colored eyes as her and a green, spring pelt to him. Or did she?

(Spoiler: she's thinking of her brother Malo, they haven't seen each other after M got hit in the head))

Baal;

Baal's eyes soften considerably, if possible, at the female's loss of memory. His eyes always start out looking harsh and judging, but they're truly friendly and his touch outward look lessens greatly once you get up close to him, and even his towering form becomes less intimidating in the presence of a friend.

Then, comes something that was less than expected; M mentions joining a pack, and how ironic is it that Baal had just that in mind, expect he hopes to be the one to open the pack for wolves like the female in front of him. His smile grows,

"Well, I don't know if you'd be interested, but I've been trying to pull together a pack my self. I'm hoping to claim a territory in the grasslands. Enough territory to hold about twenty wolves, hopefully. I feel like you would be a nice addition to the pack. I need a bit of help with claiming the area though."

[Dina]

((Yay! So I was thinking that after both M and Malo meet some wolves then they can bump into each other and Malo would try to convince M that he is her brother. But I think both siblings can be friends with Baal and Arani if you want! Any ideas?))

M;

The male mentions creating a pack, was this is? The answer M has been looking for? M looks slightly up at Baal “This pack you plan on creating... what do you plan on calling it?” M asks with a soft tone of voice. “But either way, I am definitely interested, I would be honored to join your pack, Baal.” she said nodding and smiling. The female swayed her tail and felt the cold wind brush through her pelt. She thought the male would choose a nice place to create a pack, someplace warm enough for winter, and enough prey there. M nodded again “Is there a certain time and place we should meet? Or do you still need help claiming? ” the female tilted her head slightly. Her ears flicked and she then placed her tail in front of her. Then she smiled again barely, having a good feeling about the pack, M could just imagine her future in he pack.

((Well, even though Arani isn't a part of the pack, I plan on having her technically be trespassing to visit her brother, but she and M could have a bit of a run in! M comes across a random wolf trespassing in her pack's territory and tries interrogating Arani, since she's a neutral wolf and not even the same alliance as her brother haha!))

Baal;

The male hums a small, "hmm," before answering,

"As for a name," Baal pauses, saying his pack's planned name once again in his head, affirming himself with his thoughts, "Ethereal Dawn. With every sun rise, a new chance to start over appears. A new opportunity to search for better things is at your grasp. And even with all of these things that the sun has to offer, it's oddly delicate." Baal answers the female, giving his reason for choosing the name he did, and although "delicate" is an odd word to describe the sunrise, there is some meaning behind it,

"You know when the sun rises and the atmosphere is set so perfectly that it paints the sky in pinks and oranges and reds. You'll never see the same sight again, so you have to cherish it. To remember it how it is and appreciate it for what it is and to understand that even though you might never see such a beautiful sight, you have other amazing things to look forward too." Baal shakes his head slightly, returning to his usual almost-too-forgiving smile,

"Sorry for rambling on like that. I just find things like that quite interesting."

The large framed male gives a silent nod, listening to the rest of what M has to say before giving up some more of his own thoughts,

"Trust me, the honor is mine. As for meeting, I still have to claim the territory, but I'm sure you'll know when to meet when the time comes. All you have to do is come to the Hidden Glade Territory. It should be safe enough and have a sufficient amount of resources to survive in.

M;

Baal had told her of the future pack's name and explained why that name would fit the pack. M just nodded and smiled "No need to apologize, Baal. I enjoy having long conversations, I think it's a way to bond and create new friendships." the female smiled brightly as she continued to listen to Baal. The hulking male said that she would know when the time comes, for some odd reason she believed that. Hidden Glade? M has never been there before but the name itself sounded nice and a good place to live in. She glanced at him "I just want your opinion...What position do you think suits me best? Just on my looks." To M, she thinks she would be a good hunter, well she is good at hunting, maybe she can learn how to heal. But hunting was her hobby, she would enjoy the run. M nodded to herself "Don't worry, whatever you say I promise I won't get offended, I just want an honest answer."

M glanced at Baal again, wondering if he even worried about offending her, she was honest, she wouldn't get offended. In fact, M would try to better herself and prove herself worthy if Baal would have said 'subordinate'

Baal;

"Hmm," The male hums in agreement with M's first statement, wholly believing that words create a sort of intellectual bond with other wolves and when practiced enough, the bond can become unbreakable.

"I just want your opinion...What position do you think suits me best? Just on my looks." Baal's eyes open a bit, tilting his head to the side as he thinks about his answer to the female's question. Based on looks alone? She's not the biggest wolf in terms of muscle, so maybe not one to be on the front lines of an attack, although looks can be deceiving. She seems quite lanky, mostly legs, so something to do with quick movement might fit her well.

"I'm not sure how you are with confrontation, but something to do with patrolling the area might fit you. Something that requires quick motions. I'm sure hunting wouldn't do you wrong either. Anyways, I'd like to hear what you think you'd fit. After all, you know you better than I do."
