Role Descriptions
Alpha: What the Alpha(s) say should be considered law within the pack. They take an interest in what goes on in their pack and if they've been away for any length of time look to the Beta to learn of what goes on in the pack.
If a pair of wolves wish to have pups they need to seek permission from an Alpha
Beta: They'll be second in command if the Alpha(s) aren't able to get to something, such as a wolf howling at the border, one of the betas will be the one to see to whoever is howling. They have authority over all except the Alpha(s).
Gamma: The job of a Gamma is being the pack's protector. The Gammas are responsible for making sure that everything is safe in their pack's territory, and that there are no dangers to their pack. If there is any trouble the Gamma would notify the highest ranking wolf available at the time. They can also be the peace-makers of the pack, dealing with issues inside the pack if there is no Beta or Alpha available.
Healer: Healers are in charge of taking care of the pack's wolves that have injuries that are not severe enough to go to White Magic, take care of any infection, and gathering herbs to make remedies for an illness, injury, infection, etc.
Warriors: Warriors will be the ones mainly on the front lines in war, they must think quick on their feet, be mentally and physically strong, and be able to fight alongside others in the pack.
Hunters: The number of wolves in this rank depends on the size of the pack. Hunters general job is to provide the main source of food for the pack. They also lead over wolves outside of this rank in hunts.
Scouts: Scouts are known to be agile and trustworthy. Their main job is gathering information and then reporting the found information to the alpha or another high-ranking wolf if the alpha is unavailable.
Subordinate: These wolves are the middle ground, they don't have a rank. Subordinates are the equivalent of trainees, or a wolf awaiting a higher rank, but that doesn't always mean wolves won't stay subordinates. These wolves will participate in hunting and fighting as well.
Pups: Pups are those who have not proven to be not yet capable of doing things an older wolf would be able to do (ie. hunting larger prey). They are the young usually born into the pack under the age of one.
All wolves joining must join IC and be approved by an Alpha or Beta.
