Akia;
Akia pads up to the border she, being very tired as it was by the look of it almost midnight laid down and started the wait for a patrol. The one that may or may not get her into this pack. She watched as the trees swayed gently in the wind. Listening to the bugs chirping. And hearing an owl hoot. Akia felt comfortable, watching and listening to these sights and sounds. Her eyelids slowly getting heavier, she drifted off into a deep sleep.
Akia dreamt of running with other wolves her age, racing them or hunting with them she didn't know. She was just having fun, running. She felt free, the wind ruffling her fur. Akia's dream quickly turned around, the wolves started chasing her snarling and biting her heels. She being a slight bit younger and smaller than them was able to scan the undergrowth, finding a small fallen tree. She ran towards it and squeezed herself inside of it. The other wolves coming just instants later, confused of where she went. She was very quiet and managed to crawl through the fallen tree and exit at the other end without them noticing. That was until she bumped into a male, he looked a bit older than her, taller and more muscular too. She flattened herself to the ground hoping he did not notice her. One of the wolves on the other side of the tree said the the tall muscular male by her, "Hey, Colover find her yet." She though 'Colover so thats his name. Well let's just hope he didn't notice me' the wolf now know as Colover said back "No not yet." Colover then crouched down to her level, and whispered "Come with me, but be quiet and stay low." Obediently Akia followed him. Soon enough he told her that they were far enough from the other wolves for her to stand. So, she stood. Then noticed that he had probably just saved her life. She started to say 'thank you' but he interrupted her "no problem, now for the challenge. Can you keep your mouth shut until spoken to?". Stunned, Akia said "Yes, I can." Colover told her so stay there for a second. She stayed, while he walked over to another tree and murmured something. A she-wolf came out from behind the tree and followed him back to where he stood in front of Akia. The female sniffed her, and growled to Colover "You were told to kill her." He replied "Only cowards would kill a pup in cold blood, she has done nothing wrong." Confused Akia continued listening. Awhile later the conversation ended. Tired, Akia kept walking besides Colover. But soon, she could walk no more and collapsed. He spoke to her in a soothing voice "It is only a bit farther, you have made it this far let's keep going." Akia then woke up from her dream.
Akia's head shot up, a tree branch snapped under a squirrels weight. It was not on the packs' territory so it was not the packs' prey. Not until it crossed the border. So with quick thinking, Akia sprang on the unsuspecting squirrel and had herself a midnight snack. She ate the squirrel grateful to get away from that dream that had no specific meaning to her. After her meal Akia went back to her spot and laid back down. Again waiting for a patrol to come.
Akia got tired of waiting, a few hours later. So she decided to go back to the waterfall.
