I lumbered along through the thickly wooded area of my pack's territory with not a care in my head. I noticed that the trees in this section of the territory looked far older than the newer flora, in fact they almost looked ancient. The trunks were battle scarred from what looked like a fire that had happened so long ago it was lost to memory. It was peaceful here and silent...just what I needed. It had been a moon since I joined with Rising Sol and the spring months were much easier on the pack than the winter ones had been. Everything was settled and established at this point and I was sincerely enjoying my time as a hunter. But things had a tendency to get overly loud and friendly amongst the members so I had sought a place to be alone with my thoughts. The clearing was just the place.

I sighed and looked up through the canopy created by the elderly trees, it was so thick it blocked out much of the sunlight but not all. I decided to take a nap as it was the middle of the day and the breeze was refreshing albeit faint. I found a bed of dried leaves up against one of the massive tree trunks and rooted around in it for a moment to make a bed for myself. I lowered my gray body down into the leaves and inhaled their scent. One wouldn't assume dead leaves could smell good but I enjoyed the flagrant smell. I slowly closed my brown eyes and drifted into a light sleep.

Zona stumbled her way around Rising Sol's territory. She was brand new to the pack and was anxious to meet all of its members. So far she had only met one wolf who belonged to the pack, Kivah. The curious female huffed a bit, tempted to give up on her search. Then another wolf's scent made its way to her nostrils. Her ears perked up happily to the scent as she started to chase it down.

While she moved to find the source, she started to look around at the area. It seemed like there was a fire there, though it had been long ago and perhaps was unnoticeable if you were just dashing through the clearing. Soon the trees took over, untouched by the fire. It was an interesting sight to Zona, and she enjoyed it. Soon enough she found who she was looking for.

Her brown eyes glanced over the other wolf's figure. Curiosity peaking, she started to make her way over to the slumbering male. Attempting to be quiet, she sniffed at him, wondering who he was and why he was there. She retreated her nose from his body and looked down at him curiously, tilting her pink-furred head to one side.

I had been serenely dreaming of a nice, thick, juicy leg of deer when my subconscious began pulling me from my slumber. It was slow going at first-I didn't know if what I was experiencing was reality or not-but soon I was fully awake. My brown eyes flew open as the sight of a pink colored wolf's face greeted me. I barked loudly in surprise and jumped up onto my paws.

The she wolf that stood before me didn't seem dangerous and was probably my fellow pack member but years of living alone can turn you distrustful. "What do you want?" I snapped a little more harshly than I'd meant to. I unfurrowed my brow to show I wasn't exactly angry-just shocked. Perhaps a little annoyed that I'd been woken up.

Zona nearly jumped out of her skin as Liath woke up with a loud bark and then spoke angrily to her. Immediately, she retreated a few feet away from the male, fearful of her own life in a way as she watched him from afar now. His expression became a bit less angry as his brow became less and less furrowed. The pink headed she-wolf lowered her head slowly.

"S-Sorry about that.. I just happened to see you sleeping here.. And I'm curious when I see other wolves and things I haven't seen before.. Sorry if I startled you, I just thought that I might be able to see who you were and maybe have a nice chat, but I can go away too if you want, I'm super sorry." the young adult rambled on a bit, her head bowed down and low to the ground, her eyes closed as she was afraid that she may have upset Liath by waking him from his slumber. Zona's tail was tucked between her legs as well, just an added sort of fear showing from her body language.
