His ears perked up when he heard a shout and he looked towards it's origin wearily, realising that a wolf had taken notice of his earlier distress. Hawthorne walked over her and her friends slowly, making sure not to slip on the wet rock. He wasn't too keen on the idea of an injury when he had no one to care for him. The wolves came into focus as he got closer and he stopped about a metre away, sitting back on his haunches and regarded them with mild curiosity.
The one who had appeared to have questioned his yelp had lifted her head up. Her coat seemed to be in perfect order, a beautiful colour with unusual colourings. He had to admit that she was quite a pretty she-wolf. Something about the way her fur having nothing wrong with it didn't sit right with the black wolf though. It seemed that she might turn out to be quite vain - or at least a perfectionist. He flicked his tail, and looked at her again. Then again, she might just take pride in her appearance.
He decided to ignore her question, it didn't really merit a response, in his opinion, seeing as though he had came over to her. His eyes roamed over to look at her companions; noticing the long, majestic looking tail of the smaller female and the stunning green eyes of the male. He tilted his head slightly, concerned at seeing the awkward way the male held his leg.
After surveying the group, he turned back to the first wolf. Hawthorne waited to see if she would speak again, his tail lazily flicking behind him on occasion.
