A Couple of Explorers {Shiver-Dogzrock}

Blaise looked up at the mountains looming before her. "Come on!" she said in excitement and glanced back to the wolf that she spoke too. He was her mate, Scorpius. She began to bound up the mountain only slipping a couple times on her path to the top. Blaise soon found herself on a ledge looking over the valley. The ledge also served as an entrance to one of the Mystic Caves. She looked back to her mate then out over the valley.

Her plan for the future seemed so clear. This valley would be the home for her and Scorpius and soon their pups. Blaise's family could live happily together. Scorpius would make a good father. Blaise had a flash of nervousness with the fear that she would be a terrible mother. She shook it off as her gaze returned to Scorpius. Even if she was, Scorpius would be there to sand her rough mistakes away.

Scorpius padded through a light covering if mountain snow. It was merely frost, and his large paws crunching through the crust. He yipped happily and loped upwards. The stone was slick, yet the scabby grass held fast. The wolf followed closely behind his victim.

Blaise now examined the Mystic Cave that she now stood at the entrance to. She peaked inside and marveled at the smoothness of the walls. She pressed a paws against the closest wall and rubbed it as if to test that the smoothness that her eyes had seen was real.

Blaise could feel only slightly bumps beneath her paw pads. She turned to Scorpius and trotted happily to his side. She licked his nose and said, "Isn't it beautiful?" What a perfect wolf to spend the rest of her life with!

Scorpius entered behind the pretty female and leaned into her. "Yes." He said in awe, real awe. The pearly walls glittered and shimmered in the light sifting into the cavern from the sun that now was poised directly above them.

"The view is amazing!" Blaise continued looking over the valley, "Imagine raising our pups in such a beautiful place!

"I can imagine three beautiful puppies bouncing around waiting to go on their first hunt." He said wistfully. The spring green valley rolled out beneath them like waves of forests and grass.

[Rykett]

Blaise grinned as the happiness of the moment and the hope of a joyful future enfolding her. She thought of the trials that Scorpius had gone through and was comforted that he'd been able to push past so that he could be with her at that moment. "What was the name of that she-wolf?" She asked since her mind had been on the subject.

"Myra." He lied easily. There was no telling whether Blaise knew Mysti or not. He whispered the fake name. "She doesn't matter anymore, I have you," he nuzzled her cheek.

[Rykett]

"I thought if I ever crossed paths with her then I could enact revenge for you," Blaise said quietly.

[Deleted]

His heart skipped a beat. "It's okay sweetheart. It's over now." He whispered and stared out over the valley.

[Rykett]

"Just because it's over doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt anymore," Blaise imagined whatit would feel like if Scorpius left her. Heart crushing. Blaise couldn't be sure if she's be able to pick up the pieces like Scorpius had.

"I found a way to cope. But if you meet her, do what you please. I can't controll you." Scorpius said in a hushed sincere voice. He was surprised he was being truthful. Perhaps it was a side-effect of last night?

[Rykett]

"I'll keep an eye out for Myra. I can't believe she would leave you. I can imagine how it would feel you left me," Blaise voiced her thoughts then she said with confidence "You would never leave me."

Scorpius shook. Hopefully she would take it as a shiver from the cold wind. "Never." He promised. More like entirely and utterly lied to her face, his expression a mask, hiding what was really inside. A serpent, a stinging scorpion poised to strike.

Blaise pressed herself into Scorpius enjoying the feeling of him being so close. She looked up into the sky to see a dark storm cloud billowing towards the valley on the north wind. "We'd better go deeper in. That storm looks like a bad one!"
