Sunrise against her Coat (join request)

Kiwizz was bounding along the grassy expanse of the border. She had come a long way and learnt many things since leaving her parents last year. They were just loners from a long way away but she felt that she could do a lot better as a pack member. Which brought her to were she was now; the Eternal Snowfall pack borders. She hoped with all her heart that she'd be accepted into their ranks.

She slowed to a stop as she came to a sunny spot of grass and let the sun beat down on her weary body. The travel had left her mildly exhausted and she rolled her shoulders to get rid of the mild ache. Sitting down, she let out a short howl, hoping to bring the attention of the alpha to herself.

She sat there for an awful long time, the steady heat gradually causing her to grow sleepy. Lying down, she yawned lightly. Just a few more minutes; somebody would come soon, she was sure.

With that on her mind, Kiwizz's eyelids grew heavy; with one final yawn, she fell to sleep. The soft grass cradled her body and the sunlight caressed the fur of her back.

Piala

She heard the howl. Luckily, she was nearby on a routine border patrol. The Alphess picked up speed to greet the new wolf. She reached her quickly, but noticed that she had fallen asleep. Piala felt bad, having to wake the shewolf from her slumber. An internal argument took place and she decided that she had time before she needed to complete her patrol. She sat in front of the wolf, being quiet in an attempt not to wake her. Piala looked at her as she slept and smiled. It was nice to see someone so at peace. Hopefully she slept well.

Her eyes opened just a few short minutes later. It took a moment for Kiwizz to notice her surroundings. It was still warm but there was a small breeze. She was also being watched. Shifting her vision to focus on the presence before her, she clumsily got to her feet, backing up a little.

"Ahh, hi!"

Piala

She smiled as she noticed the shewolf's eyes open. Piala dipped her head to greet the guest. "Hello. I hope you slept well." Her eyes ran over the shewolf, taking note of her tired appearance. She seemed to have come a long way. Piala didn't want to keep her too long. She decided to cut straight to the point. "My name is Piala. I am the Alphess of Eternal Snowfall. What is your name and what may I do for you?"

She smiled brightly at the wolf before her, shifting in her spot a little to regain her balance. She took careful note of her surroundings before focusing her jovial expression back on Piala. "I'm Kiwizz!"

"I actually was looking to join the Eternal Snowfall pack." Her smile simmered down to something more uncertain. She didn't want to be sent away.

Piala

She smiled warmly and put a little hop in her step. "Nice to meet you Kiwizz! That's great to hear! We are always looking for new members." Piala puffed out her chest in motherly pride. This was her pack and her children. She loved it when new members came and were able to join her family. Piala raised her voice a little to add emphasis. "We accept anyone who has goodness in their heart. As long as you have good intentions, I will be happy to welcome you to my family and my ranks." She let her eyes rest on Kiwizz. Her smile remained, but her voice took on a more serious tone. "Are you good and willing to protect your siblings?"

Her smile brightened once more when the other wolf seemed to accept her. Kiwizz's tail wagged slowly, close to the ground, and she nodded her head excitedly. "I am! If we're family then I'm definitely willing to stand my ground!" Her tone was still playful but there was a serious undertone to it; which could be easily missed given her excitement.

The pink and orange wolf stepped closer to Piala, looking up at her in ernest. "I promise, yeah."

Piala

The alphess smiled at the pup's devotion. She could tell that she could trust this young wolf. Piala nodded her head. When her head dipped, she scraped her tongue over Kiwizz's head in motherly affection. Then she smiled again. "I am soglad to hear that." Piala stepped back so that the territory would span behind her. In a large and official tone, she spoke. "I welcome you, Kiwizz, to Eternal Snowfall as our newest member. Welcome to the family." She turned her head to look over her territory. Then she turned back to the pup. "Now that you are a part of the pack, you are free to roam the territory or make a den, or do whatever."

Kiwizz was somewhat surprised at the affectionate actions of the alphess, having not experienced that sort of thing from authority before. She ducked her head a little once Piala had stood back, grinning a little lopsidedly.

"Thank you so much!" Her eyes were half closed as she grinned, giving her a rather childish appearance.

She walked forwards once Piala had finished speaking, stopping once to smile at her again, and carried on into the territory. Some exploration was in order!
