Remus allowed himself to reveal some of his excitement when Gawain began to demonstrate shooting pebbles into the air, though not at the prospect of leaning something new. It had been one of the first things he was able to do when he received his power, and he'd been practicing it whenever he had the chance. Though he didn't have the speed that Gawain had, he did pride himself in his distance and accuracy.
"Ah, I'm decently familiar with that art," Remus said, his head nodding in a determined manner; this was the only aspect of his new power he felt comfortable with, however useful it was. Focusing on a pebble and closing his eyes, he drew upon his power and felt the rock levitate a hair width from the ground. With a sharp snap, the pebble was gone, revealing itself a splitsecond later with a small thunk. It had lightly impaled itself in a tree a short distance away, remaining lodged in the bark for a few moments before dropping down. However, the display took quite a bit of Remus's already heat drained energy.
"I've always found that particular aspect rather entertaining; its quite helpful to entertain oneself on journeys, and I guess I made a habit of it." He said, still smiling, "I always found it to be more accurate if you put a fast spin on it. That also seems to help with the distance, making it more stable."
"Um, I feel it easier to do that if you imagine using your energy directly," Remus said with an embarrassed grin, happy to have something to give back.
