(Haven't RP'ed as Rem in a while.... whoopsies. anyway, I really couldn't think of a decent title. feel free to suggest a better one(please))
The summer’s hot air was mercifully reduced thanks to the combination of the swaying trees above and the cool breeze. Overall, it was a beautiful day for those how had grown up in the region. However, Remus had not grown up in the area; instead, his far northern heritage had made his first summer an unimaginable horror. He had traveled downwards during the wintertime, a semi comfortable period for a wolf of winter. Nothing could prepare him for this climate, though. His fur was slightly ragged, and much to his discomfort, still thick and heavy. No day had gone without him panting from the heat. As much as Remus wanted to stay in his den back in the Honovi territories, he couldn’t help but to explore. It was his natural tendency. But it was time for a much needed break. With a grunt, Remus sat beneath a tree, basking in its cool shadow.

Gawain
The white male traipsed through the forest. His blinding coat gave him no protection in the green foliage. Gawain looked around. It was a nice day and the sunlight drifted through the canopy. His thick down coat had been shed to reveal a light undercoat. Now he could walk comfortably in the summer heat.
Gawain reached a clearing and relished in the short green grass below his feet. He noticed another wolf nearly. The wolf was a male and he seemed to be resting in the clearing. Gawain was surprised, but it was a pleasant surprise. "Hello. My name is Gawain. What is your's?" He gave the wolf a warm smile to encourage a conversation.

Remus started with surprise; he had been drifting off slightly from the relaxing shade and had not expected to meet another wolf. Sitting up slightly straighter, he turned to meet the newcomer, immediately dismissing him as any sort of threat; no scent of other wolves were on him, nor was Remus aware of any packs in this area, at least to his current, limited knowledge. Regaining his air of dignity, though more of an air of ignorance, he responded to the wolf called Gawain, trying his best to keep from panting between words. He failed, for the most part. "My name is Remus Vale." He said, his voice dry and somewhat scratchy, not at all what he wished it to be. With a cough, his voice returned to him, more or less. Despite usually keeping eye contact at all times, a tradition he was raised to in his pack, Remus couldn't help but to stare jealously at Gawain's coat. From the color, Remus deducted that he was an albino; in addition to the wonderful, heat resistant color, the coat seemed far thinner than Remus's own. "I take it you're native to this region, yes? I'm rather new, though I do admit, its quite a wonderful area, if you ignore these drastic weather changes."

Gawain
He laughed. "You must not be from around here." Gawain made a sweeping gesture. "I welcome you to White Wolf Mountain. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them." He smiled warmly and sat down a short distance from Remus. "So where are you originally from?"

"Ja, definitely.” Remus said, following Gawain’s sweeping gesture. “But I thank you for your welcome.” “I am from the far northern regions. They are quite beautiful; sparkling ice formations, pure white fields, hills, and mountains- it is truly a place of harsh beauty.” Remus said softly and nostalgically, his eyes growing soft and unfocused, his attention seemingly wandering. But the mood only lasted for a second; soon, the black and white wolf’s attention turned back to the conversation. “Ah, yes, I have many questions, if you’ll be willing to answer, of course.” Remus said, his back impossibly straightening even more and his eyes taking on a new focus, fueled by the thirst for knowledge. “Many wolves I have asked either have mere speculation or theory, but perhaps you have another piece to the puzzle.” Closing his eyes, a familiar sensation swept across Remus, and the faint tattoo on his left shoulder began to glow a royal blue. In a fairly timed order, three small rocks popped from the ground, each a second after the preceding one, and flew into the sky, falling down into the clearing behind the pair. His eyes reopened with a sharp intensity. “My biggest question is where the powers given to us draw their energy, and if the process of perfecting them can be catalyzed. Are you aware of any knowledge on the matter?”

Gawain
He watched in delightful surprise as Remus lifted the rocks. Nodding he addressed the wolf's questions. Gawain lifted three rocks and brought them to the center of the wolves. They began to orbit each other. That is when Gawain began to talk. "It is difficult to determine the source of the powers. I believe that when the original white wolf passed, she gave her powers to her daughters. But that is not the only place she sent them. I have a theory that she embedded her powers into the mountains themselves. Perhaps there lies a core power in the center of the mountain. If we could locate this core, we could become as powerful as she." The stones thudded to the ground. "But we may never know. If there is a core, the white wolves would surely know and protect it. It would be nearly impossible for us mortal wolves to go near it." Smiling, Gawain continued his monologue after lifted the rocks up again. "Now. As for your second question, the process of perfecting a power is very difficult. It takes much practice to advance the abilities of your power." The rocks flew quickly and thumped a tree trunk. "I have personally had my powers since I was a pup and have yet to advance further than the basics. Maybe our combined practice would change that." Gawain smiled at Remus.

Hey, sorry. Just wondering if we're going to keep going with this thread. If not, that's cool. I just want to rp a little more with Gawain and his power. ^_^

(OOC: Feel free to do whatever you want. ^_^ I've just been busy the past couple of days, but I'm slowly immersing myself back into the RP. And I actually have today off, so woot!)
Remus sat straight and defined, his expression emotionless as he listened to Gawain's explanation; however, his eyes betrayed his excitement. If such a power existed deep within the mountains, and if it truly contained as much power as Gawain theorized, then perhaps challenging the White Wolves would be worthwhile. A pang of guilt hit Remus at the thought; he had received his powers from Sheba. He had no right to be so greedy for more. Besides, he had seen the power that Sheba wielded; it would be suicide to challenge her alone, or even with a full-fledged pack. But Remus still filed the information away in the back of his head, believing that someday it would be helpful to draw upon.
The black wolf had been so busy pondering, he had failed to notice the rocks hovering above the ground in front of him. It was a pleasant shock to see another wolf have the powers of telekinesis, or perhaps earth? Remus shook the thought; soil powers, from what he had heard, were by far more powerful. But it still did not stop Remus from admiring the skill in which Gawain levitated the rocks; Remus had failed to achieve any sort of controlled levitation yet. Most attempts sent the rock flying in a completely random direction, or rolling over on the ground. A few times, it rose off the ground for a mere second before it succumbed to gravity. He watched in plain appreciation as he sent the rocks against a tree.
"Well, I certainly thank you for putting up with my questions; your theory was of great help and interest." Remus turned over and looked back at the rocks Gawain had controlled, "As for you powers, they are quite impressive. you've had them since birth, you say?" The idea of powers being capable of passing generation to generation piqued Remus's interest again. He would have to look more into the matter; the valley was certainly rich in such things. "They are more developed than mine. I'm rather interested in how you levitate the objects with that grade of precision. I've only achieved mild forms of levitation, to say the least."
Remus stood and stretched, the harsh heat forgotten. "Perhaps it is only a matter of not practicing. Let us improve both ourselves, shall we?" With that, Remus closed his eyes and concentrated (another tint of jealousy washed over him as he realized that Gawain could hold a conversation and use his powers, though he tried his best not to show it)Remus refocused his efforts; thankfully, it was no complete embarrassment. A single pebble, decent in size and shape, levitated a pawlength off the ground, only to crash back down a second later. Remus turned back to Gawain. "Er, please do tell me that you have a secret for that," he said sheepishly.

((You're fine. I was just making sure you were still up for it. XP))
Gawain
He shifted is paws a little and listened to Remus. When he tried to say that Gawain had his powers since birth, he cut in. "Actually, I was a little bit of a mischeivous pup at one point. I ran off and up a mountain. That's where I met Sheba and she granted me my wish of having a power. I guess she chose telekinesis because it would be harmless for a pup." Gawain grinned a little. Then he listened to Remus some more.
Gawain nodded along as he talked. Great! So he agrees that we should practice together! Now I can advance my skills some more![/b] His tail wagged excitedly at the prospect of practicing, but his face blushed at all the compliments. It has been difficult at first, but with enough practice he had been able to steady the levitation a little more each time. He was sure that he would be able to help Remus achieve the same thing.
He he nodded to confirm that there was a secret to his skill. "Yes, of course. I will share everything I know with you." Gawain smiled warmly and made himself more comfortable. He lifted his paw into the air as he began to talk, slowly bring a rock up at the same time. "Now, when you are levitating, don't try and strain your mind to lift the rock. Your mind can't lift anything in real life so it's hard to transfer that into a working muscle. Instead, imagine that you have an invisible extra paw that can lift the rock." He slowly moved his paw in a circle and demonstrated the same motion with the rock. As he continued to move the rock, he looked at Remus. "Now try it yourself."

OOC: I'm always up for it! well, mentally, at least. time wise is usually a big no. And my thoughts always seem scattered ♪)
"Well, we certainly share a mischievous puphood, don't we?" Remus chuckled, his demeanor slowly relaxing to expose his normal personality, "I often explored without any permissions as well, though usually my adventures never reached as far." He said with a slight, nostalgic smile. The harsh blizzards that frequently raked across the north made travel for young pups impossibly deadly.
Remus nodded; it was certainly kind for Gawain to teach him all that he knew, especially when Remus had nothing to offer in return. It gave Rem all the more reason to focus, showing this wolf that any knowledge passed on would not be wasted. He listened intently.
He couldn't help but to smile good-naturedly at Gawain's secret; Remus had imagined something far more mystical or awe-inspiring, something to go with the magnitude of the power. But no matter- Gawain's explanation made sense. However, Remus couldn't help but to close his eyes out of habit; he knew that in any form of combat, it would be a weakness, but for now, he would follow it. With tentative thoughts, he relied one that invisible limb more than pure concentration. Instead of the dark and impassive wall he was familiar with, he sensed the rock glide fairly smoothly upwards. He opened his eyes, his face determined.
"So that's how you do it. nothing mystical about it... just an extension of your body."
Remus continued to practice for a few more times, focusing primarily on the finesse in which the stone rose.
"Any other secrets?" he asked, feeling happy again, something he hadn't experienced in a rather long time.

(OOC: Back. A dog escaped and did some damage, but nothing major, thankfully! anyway, for now, lets just tone the levitating down to only a few unskilled and shaky centimeters off the ground. that sound good? xD)

((Sure. ^_^))
Gawain
He placed the shaky rock back on the ground. Gawain could feel his endurance waning. It had been a little while since he had lifted a rock into the air. Let lone so high. Remus's question hung in the air and Gawain began to dig through his mind for any other advice. Even though he had had his powers for a while, he still couldn't do very much. He had though, learned a few tricks about flinging pebbles. Gawain recalled pestering his brother, Castor, with his speedy firing methods. He smiled. It would be good to teach Remus that.
Gawain turned to the tree and saw a pile of pebbles nearby. He swept the pebble to his paws and looked at Remus. "Okay. Now that you have the basics of how to lift a rock down, let's see if you can do this." He concentrated on the pebbles and took a deep breath. Before his breath was released into the air, pebbles began firing at the tree one by one. After many months of practice, his precision had become very accurate. He hit in almost the same spot every time.
After the last pebble hit the tree, Gawain turned to Remus and smiled. He figured he would be surprised, so he went on to explain the technique. "Now, it's not as hard as you may think." Gawain brought the pebble back to his paws. "For throwing objects, you don't want to hold the object with your mind the whole time. The reason I was able to get two pebbles in the air at the same time is because I would release the pebble in the air before it hits the tree. Similar to how you don't carry the pebble to the tree with your paw, you do the same thing with your mind." Gawain demonstrated with his paw. "When pelting a pebble at a tree, you swipe your paw across the ground and hit the pebble." He made the motion with his paw and the pebble smacked against the tree. "The same applies to your mind. Just sweep it against the pebble and move onto the next one. The faster you move your imaginary paw, the faster and farther the pebble will fly." He used his power to softly hit the pebble and saw it lob to the root of the tree. Then he hit the pebble again, but with all of his force. The pebble slammed into the tree trunk and echoed in the clearing. Gawain looked at Remus to see his reaction.
