Firelilly walked around the meadow, she kept her eyes open for another wolf. She howled as loud as she could, hoping someone will reply to her soon. She decided to sit down and rest, maybe someone will reply and she just has to give it a little time. She sat down and shook her soft, smooth pelt, "One day I will have my own pups and mate." she said laying down and setting her head on her paws. Firelilly started to close her eyes but quickly opened them again. She was very tired, but didn't want to fall asleep in case someone replied to her howl. She smiled and sniffed the fresh air, the smell of pink flowers and morning dew filled her nose. It was a beautiful morning and she had always loved the smell of flowers, but it was very strong this morning. Firelilly took a deep breath, filling her lungs full of the scent.
A rabbit hopped by a large rose bush, about 15 feet away from her. Her ears stood straight up and her tail started to wag. She slowly stood, still keeping close to the ground, she walked closer to were it was resting. The rabbit's ears twitched and it's eyes widened, it knew she was there, but it didn't know what to do. Firelilly kept her slow pace and found herself only about 2 feet from the rabbit, She raised her haunches and jumped at the rabbit's small fragile body, only managing to scrape it's side with her sharp claws. It tried to run from her but only got a short distance away before she bit it's small neck, choking it and finally feeling it go limp in her jaws. She held the rabbit tightly and walked back to where she was laying before, she laid down and set the rabbit in front of her. Firelilly bit a piece of meat off, using her paws to hold the rabbit in place while she ate. The rabbit was good, but she wished that she could catch a larger animal, rabbits and mice and other small critters were the only thing she could catch on her own. She was just glad that, hopefully, she wont be alone for very much longer.
