Blinking his eyes open, the unsually large adolescent extended a limb, dragging his paws over his snout and then letting it fall back onto the grass. Having fallen asleep in the shade, Dallik's amber gaze drifted lazily around, surveying the area; his maw parted to catch an new, suspicious scents. I cant believe I let myself nap, anyone could have come and.. Shaking his head at the thought, the charcoal wolf squirmed in the warm grass, rolling his body over so he could stand faster if need be. Despite his relaxed disposition, his ears constantly swivelled nervously. As long as I dont run into any other males, I'm fine, Im good. Weak attempts at reassuring himself fades as something caught his attention; the shuffling of dried grasses and leaves. Tilting his broad cranium, Dallik gazed intently across the shallow creek and spotted a fawn brown mouse rustling about in the foliage. Making a sound similar to that of an 'Hmph,' the large wolf let his head lower to rest it on his extended leg. The heat of the summer afternoon had soaked through his charcoal colouring, flecked with silver and decorated with russet. It was all too relaxing along the creek, the air too still.

Cherry walked along, her black tail swinging. It was HOT! The air was sweltering and humid, curling her fur. The shewolf let her tongue loll out slightly as she walked. She needed to find some water, fast! Oh, there's some. The Amoux creek ran through the grasses. There was no wind, no breeze. Nothing. Her paws set softly on the ground, claws skimming the ground. She sighed in relief as she slid her slim body into the cool depths. The Creek itself wasn't that deep. The bottom of the river was coated with river stones and pebbles, the smooth surfaces slipping under her calloused pads. The sky was that hot blue that you knew would only get hotter. Cherry closed her eyes and let her guard down. This shewolf was taking a rest.

Having closed his eyes again, the charcoal mass of fur remained still in the grasses, mostly flattened beneath him. The faint yet steady, comforting sound of the creek bubbling was interrupted when his ever-observant ears caught the sound of something gettin in the water. Jerking his head up, Dallik went tense with anticipation, his amber eyes wide and searching for the cause of the noise. A short distance down stream, the black figure responsible for the abrupt end of peace was entering the water in a deeper spot. Watching for a moment, he lowered his head slightly as if it would make him disappear into the grasses. Both wolves black pelts stuck out immensely in the sea of greens and tans, the grass a mixture of new growth and that which is damaged by the summer's warmth. Rising to his pads, he remained in the same flattened spot in the shade. Tilting his head slightly, Dallik gulped before calling out in a friendly, but hesitant tone "Hey," he then bobbed his head down slightly to show he wasn't going to be aggresive, "uhh," he murmured, suddenly unsure if he should've approached the wolf.

Cherry reveled in the cooling sensation if water flowing through her pelt and caressing her skin. Her pink blossoms were soaked and a dark red instead of the bright pink. Her longer fur flowed to one side, flattening one half of her to reveal her muscles. The water lapped over her shoulders as her pinkish eyes opened. They took in the single cloud that drifted lazily around the blazing golden sun. They took in the brittle grasses that thrived in this boiling air. They took in the dark smudge of the mountains on the dust and horizon, along with the rich greens of the surrounding forest. Her long black ears perked up as she heard a bark. Her slim head swiveled to face the origin if the call. She blinked at the maker. A black wolf that seemed to float only just above the ground. She thought it looked rather funny. "Hi there." Cherry responded and began to slide out of the water.

Taking a single step forward, he raised his head again and the corner of his lip curled up in an awkward grin. Dallik watched carefully as she moved effortlessly from the water, his ears perked forward. "Who're you?" he asked slowly, still feeling slightly hesitant about the stranger. Shifting his weight, Dallik lifted his full height and was now clearly large for his youthful face. With broad shoulders and a thick mid-section and hind legs. Taking several more steps forward, his auburn hued eyes appeared lighter than normal in the bright sunlight. Feeling as if the situation weren't going to take a negative twist, his muscles relaxed slightly as he slowly made his was toward the female. Pausing about half way between them, Dallik spoke again in a much more friendly tone, "I'm Dallik,"

Cherry smiled slightly, t corners if her mouth curling up into. As Cherry emerged fully from the water, her black pelt began dripping. Water pooled into the pebbly bank and dribbled back into its babbling source-the Amoux creek- the shewolf shook herself. Wet fur twisting around her until most of the water was shed from her. Refreshed and renewed, Cherry let herself grin. Her eyes were bright and shiny in the blazing sun, its rays once again beating upon her dark pelt. She was undazed by his sudden dominant, somewhat accusatory tone. Wolves would be wolves. She chuckled at herself. Males would be males-she amended. The black shewolf with pink blossoms adorning her fur answered him. "interesting name...I'm Cherry!" she tossed her head cheerfully.

Watching her with curious eyes, a grin once again covered his face - his tail swaying with interest. As she shook the excess water from her coat, he began to look over the shewolf. Her pretty ebony fur was glistening in the sun, the vibrant blossoms decorating her fur catching him by surprise. "Interesting? I guess, he huffed, tilting his head slightly and letting his eyes drift away - careful not to gawk. "I've never thought of my name as anything more than, well, my name." Shrugging, the wolf took a step forward and sat himself down in a comfortable position; but still so he could dart from the scene in a moments notice. "Cherry is a nice name," he murmured almost awkwardly, glancing back at her now.

Cherry let out a contented sigh as the atmosphere finally gave her a gust of wind. The breeze tugged at her fur much like the water of the creek did, brushing on to one side. But instead of the raw power of the water, the wind gently folded the tufts over. She felt like closing her eyes and enjoying the wind. But she knew she had to be on guard around others. Her sister Tide had always told her to be wary around strangers. She missed Tide. Where was she now? Was she okay? Did she miss her? Thoughts, worries, and doubts flooded her mind. Only when Dallik began speaking again did she snap back to attention. He was a dark charcoal color, his muscles just visible under that mysterious facade. She found herself studying him, then felt like a creep and averted her gaze. "I guess it's an obvious name. Mother probably had no other ideas." Cherry joked.
OOC: XD Cherry be: oh look! Another wolf! Lets be friends! OMG! You like me?! Erm...have a nice day! XP

With the sudden gust of wind, the grass around him began to sway gently - Dallik shifted again, bringing his tail closer to his body. Field mice across the creek rustled loudly, the gentle breeze bringing their scents forward. Laughing at her comment, the wolf nodding briefly and shrugged again, "Well, I think its pretty. Goes well with the blossoms in your fur," Allowing himself to relax slightly more in her presence. Despite his massive size, his good-natured aura and youthful face gave him a much different appearance. "So, what brings you close to White Wolf Mountain..? or, did you grow up around here?" His questions were left vague, his eyes hopeful for an answer.
OOC where can I find Cherry's info? o3o

OOC:Here! wwm-5.proboards.com/thread/2665/cherryCherry scrunched her eyes closed and chuckled, bringing a black paw up to cover her grin. The shewolf relaxed, her bushy tail curling around her paws. "You're a goofball." she chuckled and let her paw drop. The pink and black shewolf blushed under her thick fur. "I actually arrived here two seasons ago."[\b] Cherry lowered her head slightly and tilted her chin up coyly.

"Really?" he questioned with sudden enthusiasm, leaning forward slightly. Ear's perked now, his tail brushed quickly across the dirt - sending a gust of dust into the gentle breeze. "Where did you come from?" Sneezing at the dust, he drew up a paw and dragged it over his muzzle, then shaking his head briefly. With the movement of his broad cranium was the rustle of his dense fur, ungroomed and covered in bits of grass and spots of dust. Realizing his forwardness, Dallik's ears swivelled around again and he averted his gaze. "If, uh," he added quickly, murmuring "If you wanna tell me."

Cherry chuckled again at Dalliks uncomfortable awkwardness. It was cute. "It's no biggie really." the shewolf began, curling her tail iver her paws as the wind knotted her wet fur. Before beginning her story, Cherry closed her eyes and listened. To the crickets, the wind, the rustling grasses, the scurrying if field mice, the distant howling of other wolves in the valley. "I came from beyond these mountains and across the plains. The ocean. With the white cliffs and grey sandy shore. The water was always greenish grey and calm. I lived there with my parents pack. Then when the pack was attacked, my older sister Tide took me and we fled. We made it across the plains okay, though food was hard to come by. At last we made it to the mountains. The foot hills were okay, but the snowy summit was what got us." Her voice cracked slightly and Cherry patched it back up. "We trekked through snowy blizzards and hid in cold stint caves. But wading through deep snow once, belly empty. I fainted. Tide thought I was dead and j couldn't do anything about it. I nearly froze solid before I made my way down the mountain. I barely lived. I was extremely lucky. I journeyed back to my pack and found my parents pack sounded but still alive. I rested and revive red there before making my way back over the mountains to find my sister." Cherry finished, holding back the eager tears. "I still haven't found her."

Listening to her story, Dallik remained still as stone as Cherry's adventure quickly became more of a rescue mission. "Well, maybe I could help you look." he mumbled coolly, his gaze keeping clear of hers. Lifting his broad cranium and pulling back his lips to form a half-hearted smile, he nodded briefly;"I mean, I have nothing better to do." his statement was left vague for a moment, his eyes clouded with unspoken pain. He spoke quickly, but remained relaxed. "I didn't grow up around here either, last Spring I woke up, somewhere along Amoux Creek. I think my mother left me here, because I wasn't hurt. But I don't remember her, I don't remember anything really. I had my basic skills to survive, and I've been alone since.. I wouldn't mind some company." his hesitant expression faded now, his smile growing wider. "'Sides, it'd be much easier with four ears and eyes." his voice was joking now, his smile genuine. His thick, lengthly charcoal tail twitched with anticipation; his paw scratched at the ground absent mindedly.

Cherry watched him intently with her round pinkish eyes. Her ears pushed very far forwards, and her tail flew up as she stood. He wanted to come with her?! To search for Tide?! He did ask...HE ASKED! Excitement flooded through her faster than lightning could strike her. The black and pink shewolf leaped at him -hopefully pinning him down- "YES! of course!" She grinned at him eyes bright and wide. Energy courses through her veins for a reason deep in her mind that she did not yet bother to explore. Her paws pounded the ground in front of her as she leaped back.

The she-wolf launched herself at Dallik, taken by surprise he flopped backward and Cherry had pinned him before he could speak. Laughing lightly at her enthusiasm towards the idea, he nodded and struggled a bit under her grasp; his smile turning almost awkward. "Great! Where should we start, then?"
