Xaefir didn't like how he was being questioned, his past being shadow cases to all. But he didnt really have a choice, did he? The great green male sighed, a puff of steamy air billowing from his nose. "I'm escaping my past more than anything, but I am also seeking refuge from the killer Fjord. I heard he was in the valley. On his own I would hold against him. But I heard he's gathering followers. He is creating a pack. Midnight Silence." He went in about Fjord not wanting to share his mistakes and memories. It was easier focusing in someone else's faults.
Xaefir's silver eyes brightened considerably and his ear to ear grin returned at the mention of a pack. "A Pack?! I would love a pack. Though it would need to be strong." He added. "Though I am...well...evil. What alliance are you?"

"I, my friend, am evil. I too have heard of Fjord. My own friend, Akheron had a fight with him and survived. I think that to date, she is the only one who has fought with Fjord and lived. Not only lived, but also come out well enough! She plans to petition an alliance with Fjord's pack, for she actually has good relations with him." Koroneis's voice took a laughing tone, her eyebrows raising. She did know Akheron quite well - they played together as pups! Now, they did remain in contact but only when the other had time to visit. Akheron had paid a small visit to her when she was on her way to the Sapling Groves, and Koroneis in turn one when she surprised Heron with a trip to her small cave.
The russet red she wolf nodded her head in approval. "Just know that I do not support mindless killing, or injury. The Sentinels pack is not stereotypically evil, but we are evil. We all have our dark sides. If you should choose to join this pack, I would welcome you wholeheartedly, but you must understand these rules. We do not live like Midnight Silence - rampaging all over the Earth just to end life. We are not them." Koroneis was extemely serious about that rule, because having a pack that constantly got into fights was a harebrained scheme. It was not good, neither was it a benefit to the area. What would they do? March up to a tree and demand it surrender, or they would mercilessly rip its branches off, tear leaves away like shreds of fur?
No, I think not. She thought, and waited for the reply

Xaefir sighed again, but this time not out if exasperation but relief. "I was worried you were on of them for a moment." He smiled thankfully, speaking of Fjords minions. "I am also evil the way you are. I do not shamelessly kill. But I am rather...strong willed and...passionate. He went on. In that pack I am sure they would kill eachother. Without a strong foundation and jaw, nothing can grow. I revere the neutral wolves like your friend Akherin may be. I see no sense in hating other wolves for what they deem right and wrong. Though I myself am considered evil, I do not hate ghose considered good. I only hate when wolves are deserving if hate." He thought if his parents and hate erupted in his mind. They deserved hate, so I gave it to them.

"I believe you. And I, in turn, give all wolves the respect they deserve unless they have done something to lose it. In which case it usually cannot be earned back any longer. Welcome to the Sentinels, Xafier. You are now a subordinate in the ranks or the Sentinels, with a position of Fighter. Enjoy your new life! Currently, we have Jules, Yemen who is looking to join and I. Now we make four. If Jack takes up the last position, the Sentinels will be able to howl at Outer Reaches territory to claim it!" Koroneis have a joyful bark, for the first time in winter, showing a genuine smile. Her mouth stretched into a wide, open grin and she licked Xafier on the cheek. Dipping her head in acknowledgement of her new pack member, she then turned to Jack.
"Anyway, Jack - you still have not told us why you're here. Could it be that you just enjoy winter? I myself love the feel of cold, crisp snow crunching underneath my paws. It is wonderful how this snow can be so hard, or so soft and fluffy! Winter is a marvelous season." She said again, trying to initiate conversation between herself and the elusive wolf. Perhaps he would join, perhaps not. Why? Maybe it was an alliance problem, or that he just didn't fit in? Koroneis was not sure, but she did not mind. Instead, she focused on the fresh smell of newly-fallen snow, the white of the snow banks, and ooh, the furry pelt of a rabbit.

Of every conversation these two wolves speak, Jack swift his head back and forward between Xaefir and Koronies. The mention of Fjord, an army, and an escape refugee pack all bundle up in the young wolf's head, both terrified and heartfelt of their speech. When Koronies turn her head towards him and speak of recruitment to this pack, The Sentinels, his heart burn deeply, just barely enough to warm him from the frost. "A p-pack?...The last time I was in a pack was....A very long time ago. I don't think you'll want me in your 'evil' pack, I-I'm not evil nor neutral, just some good-natured pup!" As his words flutter out of this frozen muzzle, he tighten himself up for the upcoming snowflakes flying down.
"Heh, and no, I'm a Summer type wolf, sorry." chuckle Jack, then quickly frown at Koronies' other statement. "I don't want to talk about my past because you can clearly see it on me." Jack release himself from the position and leap upwards, displaying his scars, cut, slice open ears, and finally his ripped apart tail that used to be long, but now short and stumpy. "It's a long story..."

"An attack. Of what kind? I would guess this happened in your puphood, going by how the scars look." The shewolf asked, swivelling one eye around to look at this Jacksonville. Her other eye was fixated on the rabbit and how delicious it would taste if she weren't talking to some other wolf! The beautiful scent of crisp air and prey was tantaliing, and it was not often that animals appeared out in winter. This was not an opportunity to be missed, never.
"Give me a second, prey is scarce in this time of the year and should not be wasted." Having said her share, Koroneis turned and focused her attention fully on the rabbit. It was large, fat and well-fed and the muscles in it's chest and front legs were extremely strong. However, she could see the small twist of one of its hind legs every time it moved, telling her that that leg was broken. This should be easy.
Koroneis was a streak of russet, colouring the solid ground. She aimed for the neck, but fell short due to the rabbit hopping away - still unaware. Dropping down to the ground softly, she crouched downwind of it and brought her paw down on it's neck, claws unsheathed. A clean kill.

Xaefir was relieved that the attention was shifted completely off if him. He shook his head disdainfully at Jack. He was so pitiful yet he was good. Maybe that was why the force if evil was so string in the valley, because the good wolves were all weak and abused. He let his gaze wander Jacksonville's scars. It was horrible. Someone worse than Fjord did this. Fjord was merciful enough to kill his prey. Who ever did this tiHack was pure and shamelessly evil. They hurt him severely both physically and emotionally, and left him to endure the pain.
The large male watched his new Alphess hunt. She was quick, silent and stealthy. He gulped when he realized she would have to tell her about his....condition. "Alphess? I have something to tell you. And I understand completely if this changes your mind about me."

"Y-es?" Koroneis asked, placing down her prey before speaking. She was interested in what her new pack member had to say. Though she really couldn't be called Alphess yet, she appreciated the respect given to her. As it was due. However, the pack would not be claiming any land anytime soon, at least not yet.
Change her opinion of him? What could? Koroneis liked to give her wolves a fair chance to prove themselves by merit and not by preordained standards. So, what would his statement be?"Well do go on, but keep in mind that I give all wolves a fair chance. I prefer merits than favours, so this probably won't change anything. You can if you want though. And there's no need to call me Alphess just yet! Once we claim a territory, then you can call me that... if you wish. My name is Koroneis, not Alphess!" She laughed, pushing the prey towards the wolf who seemed the weakest. Jack.
On the subject of Jack, she was so tempted to tell him to get a backbone, but it would disrupt his opinions about her which she did not want.

Xaefir was about to sigh again when he thought: hey! Sit up and look her in the eye! If you are going to explain your weaknesses, then do it with a brave face. "Koronies, then. I have a...condition. One moment I'm me, like right now. But when things happen, like if I get angry, or if I fight or hunt even. Anything extreme enough will set me off. By that I mean...when that stuff happens I change. It's like I don't face control of my body. I just begin destroying everything in my path." that's why my parents killed my mate-to-be. Because they didnt want my horrible condition spreading. He almost added. He would reveal those secrets when the time came. He was positive it would.

"And? How does that make you any different? All you have to do, is control and get out if you sense anything about to happen. Would you like me to change your rank, if it troubles you so?"
Koroneis waited patiently for Xaefir's answer once again. She really did not mind him, or his condition. It made no difference to her at all. She was still Koroneis, child of Ravenna and Sirius, sibling to Ravenwing. Xaefir's condition changed naught her personality, nor her actions. Neither did it change how he would normally behave when he was not... insane. The soon-to-be Alphess had no qualms about keeping him in her pack, even better that she have a warrior like him on hand. Or on paw.
"But, time to change the topic, I believe. What are your favourite seasons, Jack and Xaefir? As mentioned earlier, mine is winter. I just adore the feeling of cool snow beneath my paws, the ground crunching beneath my feet. Crisp, clean air in the woods as the light dapples the ground, and snowflakes gently kiss your pelt. I do not like missing winters very much."

Jack watch and witness the gentle sytle of hunt this soon-to-be Alpha had to offer; the pace and movement was top notach compare to other wolves he seen these past weeks! Eyeing the perfect prey, Jack's watery mouth drop a riverfall of salvia onto the ground, since it been forever since he hunted on his own. As soon as Koronies push the recently dead rabbit towards him, he was both shock, but above all happy to finally meet a good hearted wolf around. Not taking not much but a bite, Jack's entire mouth was filled with delight of warm, fresh kill exploring through his fangs! Tasty!
"Well, regrading your 'conditions', Xaefir, I think you try breathing slow; you know, to help cool you down." request Jack, then switch his glaze at Koronies for her question. "Like I said before, I'm more of a Summer wolf, probably because I was born in that time. Before my accident, my family and I always travel to the tranquility fields, just get away from pack life for a while."
Although, Jack knew he couldn't answer about what or who attacked him long ago, not even he knows who did it! But he's glad it was over, well, more or less.

(I'm in on this. Here comes Snow) A youngish male wolf stumbled along in the redwoods. His pelt a lovely silver. With a whight face and legs. Along with dark blue eyes. But he had a slight limp, and scares under his fur. He came upon the three wolves, and quitly stepped into the clearing. He looked at all three in turn as they talked. He herd about Fjord, and a pack. He spoke up, "I might like to join this pack." he said. He walked over. His features were thin, yet his legs musculer. Mucles rippled under his pelt, but the rest of him was thin. He was also quie tall. And he had that mountin wolf build. Many had been coming down from the east, but only one from the west. He himself was from the east. He sat, bushy tail covering his paws. His eyes darted around as if watching for something. That something was a diffrent side of him. A dark side. The one that had killed the Alpha female of that small pack. The one that had led the asult of so many other packs... His good side was the one he was now. The on who had spared those pups. The one that had come down to the valley.

Jack's ears perk up over the sound of another wolf, leaving the young wolf to glaze at the almost hidden male beyond the wintery storm, but thankfully, this wolf's beautiful dark blue eyes shield themselves from this. Jack scan the wolf and quickly announce that this guy was a mountain wolf due to his legs' strong muscular features, only those who was either a great climber or intense speed rely heavily on them. As before the wolf sudden entrance, he speak over joining them into this pack; however, even though new members mean more friends and possibly protection, the glaze and lashes of this Jack deeply allow qualms settle within him yet again, but he tries hard to stop it and bring up another smile.
"H-hey! Um, you would to join, right?" bark Jack unsure, but his eyes twist towards Koronies for her own answer.
