Calypso was coughing. Snow was everywhere. At least it wasn't a harsh blizzard as it was before. Now it was a gentle flurry. She coughed one last time. The cold sharp air was making her throat burn and sting. She shook her head and raised her muzzle to the air. She gave Striken a questioning glance with her lime green eye. "Are you joining? I think I will. After all its winter and its unsafe to wander alone. Especially with that Fjord guy that is rumored to be lurking around the valley." The pale blue she wolf flung her head towards the sky and howled. Her voice high, strong and clear. She let her call ring out over the surrounding territory. She hoped Alphess Piala would answer.

Calypso's head lowered as her voice faded. She then turned her gaze towards Striken. Striken. He was always in her mind. Would she be worried about his safety if he left the border? Yes. She knew that answer. She had only known him for a day but she had a crush. She knew it. Would she let it show? No.

His amber eyes were filled with anxiety and worry. Worry for Mysti. Worry about the snow. Worry for Calypso. Was that weird? Worrying about someone who he just met? Feeling protective even though she obviously could take care of herself? Maybe it was just Striken and his overprotective self. The coughing was definitely getting worse. Winter was the worst time for survival. The chill bred sickness. This winter had come on so suddenly. Striken found himself shivering slightly since the thickness of his winter coat hadn't fully grown in.

Striken nodded in response to Calypso's question. "I work better in a pack. Eternal Snowfall is the best option right now." As Calypso raised her head in howl, Striken mirrored the movement. Their howls harmonized through the chill air. His ears rotated slowly, listening for a response. His eyes met Calypso's lime green eyes. Such an unique coloring... Striken wondered if he'd ever see another wolf with lime green eyes.
