Twas a new day in Spring, and thankfully not raining. For as much as Koroneis liked the rain and the snow, she did not like being sick, thank you very much. She was not a typical "Evil" wolf, she was not bloodthirsty, nor chaotically Evil either. She was more of a neutral Evil, preferring not to kill unless needed or to have unnecessary violence. Not all the rivers in the world could wash off the blood on paws of death, should she kill another wolf of her own evil accord. Unless she were defending her home, her pack or herself, she would not hurt another with her claws.
Her claws. Nothing was mentioned about her power, was it?
Turning to the wolf following behind, that Vandheer Lorde, Koroneis raised a single eyebrow and slowed down some. He was "aging" was he not? Lorde would need some time to catch up should she bound about like an excited pup. Backtracking a little, Koroneis let her voice be carried by the gentle breeze flowing. "We have Fighter, Defender, Mage for the military aspects. Fighters, as their name says, fight as the attack force. They work in pairs with defender force and defenders build basic defences for camps, defend the camp and the fighters. They are a mix of all builds."
"Then, there are the Mages, those who specialise in Magicks and train under a Shaman, and the rest."
She is graceful, like a wisp in the wind, a part of the flowing river. She is deadly as the fire she has heard of. She is calm as her name suggests. Koroneis looked back to the front, waiting for Lorde.

Vandheer was following slowly behind, ignoring his own mind's discontent at being led somewhere, but he put it to rest; it was irrational. He couldn't be in control all his life, after all, that would be boring. So for now, he followed after Greenfire, where the sun never rose.
"I care not about the ranks, but more of the wolves who shall fill them. What of them?"He asked as he padded slowly along, his experience telling him to take his time. He was distinctly uncomfortable in the direct sunlight; his shadows had a hard time forming and it had been quite a while since he had travelled in light such as this. He hated it.

It was almost as if the wolf behind her did not like the light. For a second, K's mischievous character surfaced, urging her to prank Lorde. Though it would not be good for her if she had to fight because of one prank. A prank had to be properly carried out without risk of retribution or it became dangerous, and dangerous was not a word she used to describe her pranks. While she was leaner, quicker and more agile, Lorde had more experience fighting, built muscle and obviously more tactics.
For a while, she considered simply leaving - she could teleport faster than Vandheer could run, after all. But have an enemy? Nope. "The Gamma Male is Yemen. You have two fighters named Xaefir and Lydia. A Mentor would be Jules. These are the ranks for now, though more will join and Lydia looks to be a potential Head Fighter." The russet wolf paused, thinking of her soon to be subordinates, except for Yemen. He was... a capable wolf, smart and intelligent. In fact - she might not mind having him replace Vandheer, though Vandheer had more experience.
It was no matter though. Her Alpha, no partner, for Alpha sounded wrong, was good enough on his own. But she would wait, she would see and Koroneis would kill if need be.

"I shall meet them myself." Vandheer said in his rich monotone. The shadows that swirled around him continued to fight against the harsh light. "Now, what of their characters? I must know how they act in order to lead them."
That much was true. He did not feel comfortable about not knowing much about a specific wolf; it was ironic, really. A dark loner such as himself was going to get to know an entire pack of wolves. But it would be to his advantage. As he walked, his shadows seemed to swirl in distress. With an almost tired sigh, Greenfire's shadow melted away from her figure to join his, slightly strengthening its resistance to the light. He was able to allow his signature pattern to swirl around a little more freely. He padded on proudly, his head held at its usual height and his tail set out straight determinedly behind him.

"Lydia does not take well to males, but she is strong of heart and cunning, as are Yemen and Xaefir. Yemen is intelligent, not getting into a fight unless he knows he will win but he is loyal and his mind is fast. Xaefir has a condition, he... I'll let him tell you himself, but he is determined to accomplish a goal, and follows well, though he has good ideas. Jules is strong, both in character and build. She is trust worthy and much the same, cunning and smart." Raising an eyebrow at her straying shadow, she paid no heed and continued walking. It was, perhaps, weird to see a wolf shadowless but Koroneis was not one of those who would question it too much. She herself had a friend who liked to prank others like that and she'd long since trained herself to ignore it. After all, she was always able to get him back. Her eyes gleamed in interest though, she had not seen anyone use a power in that way. Shadow mastery was indeed a talent if one used it well, which in hindsight, Ponos did not.
Continuing her gait, she walked on. Maybe she should have waited for Vandheer, but she was not concerned about how he would catch up either. He was a strong wolf and he'd be able to go faster should he wish.

(having posting trouble? ;P)
"That is good; they sound like they will be capable of serving the pack well." It took a little effort to say 'the pack' instead of 'me', though he managed it, gliding smoothly past the would-be mistake. He would put his own totalitarian personality behind him for now. He stored the information provided, saving it for future reference.
He watched as Koroneis Glided past him, taking the lead at a continuingly growing length. Vandheer had no objection to it, though he refused to quicken his pace to catch up; the trot he was managing was well enough. He could track her scent as well. if he failed to do that, he had grown familiar with her shadow, enough so that he was completely confident in his ability to find that. her own shadow would work against her.
Moreover, he felt his abilities growing slowly stronger. The fact that he didn't need sleep was also a plus... so far a week had passed, and he felt as awake as ever, with only a slight fatigue that he blamed his age for. The light, though this was his first time using his power in its direct focus, was slowly adapting. His shadows seemed to be growing more defined as he continued to travel in light.
He continued to walk with his head held high, his face emotionless as he gazed after Greenfire with an almost somber air of discern.

How many posts does our dear Lorde have now?))
Koroneis snorted, nodding her head in agreement before she decided to quicken the pace. While she was comfortable with silence, she would rather get to the meeting grounds before anything unfortunate happened. She would have liked to gather her pack early, but with the addition of Vandheer Lorde, it was simply not possible. Koroneis would have needed to brief him on many things regarding the pack matters, discuss rules, ranks, and all those that she had not taken into consideration yet. Fallen Ashes would be a militaristic pack and they would have a strong fighting force, but they would also be a pack that built on other aspects such as respect.
They'd be strong in politics, other aspects as well and would likely have a growing number of members in time to come. With the addition of new pups into the pack, White Magic forbid the bloodline run out, they would only grow stronger. Strong enough to challenge Fjord if he decided to break the truce, strong enough to survive the harshest winters. Ohh, they would be a good pack. Speeding up, she ended up skidding to a halt when she came to a particularly large ruin blocking her path.
Oh, darn.
Too small to leap over and too far a distance to walk, Koroneis glared at the top of the formation, appearing only a second later at it's peak. She jumped down and continued on her way, perfectly content with Lorde finding his own way there, especially since he wanted to control the military aspects of the pack as Alpha. If he couldn't follow her scent or find ways of getting there with no guide, then he was not fit to be.

(it doesn't matter; he'll still be the alpha. he just won't be officially yet. so i'm just going to RP as if he is)
Vandheer was slowly growing annoyed at being left behind; he was wondering if he was following a competent wolf or not. if he was to learn of the pack and all it stood for, was now not the best time for him to do so? However, he continued along at his normal pace, letting his shadows grow as he came across more of the material. when he had sufficient power, he shot all the shadows out in front of him, flying ahead of Greenfire. with a silent and unnatural speed, they formed a patch of thorns in front of Koroneis. they glowed with darkness, fueled by Lorde's annoyance.
He halted at the top, looking down disapprovingly at the female. "I suggest slowing down," he said, his voice the same rich dark monotone, "if you have information for me, i wish to know it now." The shadowy thorns dissolved and returned to Vandheer, taking the form of wings as he too jumped down. They returned to his paws, gracefully swirling around them with his signature pattern.

Koroneis slowed down unwillingly, pausing as she came to the shadowy barrier or thorns. She could easily bypass, but she saw no real reason to do so. The power mark on her paw glowed once, grey eyes looking back up at Lorde before she seemed to disappear into thin air. Only her glowing grey eyes remained before they too, dissipated. Koroneis re-materialised next to the male, grey eyes appearing first followed by the rest of her body. Eventually, the golden glow died away from under her paw and she was walking side-by-side with Vandheer again. Where to begin? Ah, she would start with the political aspects of the pack, then.
"As you should know, Fallen Ashes will be a Chaotic-Neutral pack. The neutral does not necessarily mean we are of Neutral alliance, just that our pack will not be a crazy, bloodthirsty rampaging machine. We do not unnecessarily seek violence but we retaliate harshly if we are wronged and we will crush the opposition. After all - to ensure total success is to destroy your enemy. Then they can no longer hit back. We will also have good negotiatiors, using their words to get a good deal. If something is needed that they will not have, we will use all means to get it. There is no such thing as honour - what do you have in mind for this pack?"

Vandheer continued on as if nothing had happened when Greenfire popped into existence next to him; it was not out of spite or anger. those emotions had already faded. SO for now, he walked and listened, his mind absorbing and processing all that she said to him. She shared his ideas for running a pack; a group united solely for the purpose of blood would not last long, nor would a peaceful, secluded pack. But one that was actively building an empire, that was the pack that would succeed. As she finished, Vandheer padded along in silence before answering.
"True evil," he said simply, allowing a moment for it to sink it, " i despise this valley;it is full of those who view darkness as a hobby, or there are those who take it too far to accomplish any real purpose. This pack, i wish for it to grow into the power of this region and control it with an iron grasp."
The shadows at his paws began to move, displaying scenes of torture and agony. the shadows seemed to radiate an untold evil, the imagery so real that howls and screams seemed to fill the air.
(ooc: crappy post, i am tired.)

Heyheyhey, I don't expect a reply from anyone unless you're at peak capacity. Go and take your break. Recover until you're well enough to continue and then come back because we don't all have unlimited energy.))
True evil Koroneis thought as Lorde said his first two words actually related to what he wanted in the pack. True evil, eh? True evil was a dangerous, primordial thing and was not to be toyed with. True evil had to be worked towards, the pack ha to be trained to think and take over, subtly manipulate until the valley fell into their command. I despise this valley; it is full of those who view darkness as a hobby... And when had she met such a wolf? Ah, possibly Fjord and Edge - though Edge actually seemed to have some inkling of morals within his deep dark soul. Fjord just saw it as a hobby, something to be trifled with.
Yes, he had the same visions as Lorde but his pack was built for bloodthirsty killing, murder and to take on the valley while shedding blood. This pack... Ah, this pack, her child and her goal would survive and prosper for years to come... Without Midnight Silence. ...or there are those who take it too far to accomplish any real purpose. Too far? Perhaps he meant those that had gone too far with their actions in true evil such as randomly murdering, causing destruction wherever they went in a hope to subjugate the wolves and rule the valley but how dumb was that? Death to rule life.
This pack, I wish for it to grow into the power of this region and control it with an iron grasp. And here was what she had wanted to hear. For Fallen Ashes to grow and expand, train it's members in the arts of war, politics, stealth and cunning. To teach them loyalty but to manipulate the other wolves not of the pack into doing their bidding. They would rise up and take hold of the region and as Lorde so eloquently put it, control it with an iron grasp.
Koroneis nodded along as he spoke, contemplating her own ideas for deserters. She found herself almost ready to speak the next part of what she had in mind for the pack, the training aspects of it but knew she should let Lorde decide most of it. After all, he wanted to be the one dictating the military aspects of the pack so why should she interfere? She would just lay down some base aspects that she wanted it to have and let him expand on the rest.
"The pack must be trained. They must be tought how to manipulate, how to subtly influence and the more... physical aspects of battle. They have to follow a strict schedule but I want them to be allowed to create the schedule for themselves. Fallen Ashes cannot turn into a complete dictatorship as that would lead to rebellion. But since you are, in charge of the military aspects, what do you say about this?"

(i'm always tired. ;P i just use it as an excuse when i write a particularly crappy response.)
Vandheer thought for a few moments as he padded along. His parents had taught him the concept of power and how to control it; Vandheer was confident that he could apply it to the pack, especially if they were like-minded individuals. He had no intentions of controlling every aspect of those who lives were under his rule; he would only subject the hypocritical 'good' wolves of the valley to such treatment. He would never do that to those who shared his dreams of darkness.
His shadows slowly returned to his signature pattern, slowly swirling at his paws. "The pack will have their lives to live, but make no mistake, when it comes to the military activities, i will allow no room for error. Discipline means victory- its as simple as that," he said, his voice full of cold power.

Koroneis looked ahead, the Outer Reaches territory coming up which they would reach very soon. She quickened her pace though she made sure not to stay too much in front of Lorde. Soon, they would call the pack to arms and properly bring Fallen Ashes to life. One wolf's dream would finally come true and their pack would grow and last through the generations. Koroneis did not think about what would happen should too many wolves try to join... they would have to attack a pack to take over, the Eternal Snowfall, hopefully.
And then what if they still ran out? WIth a determined stare, the almost-Alphess took the first towards the very near border. -exit Koroneis- (Crap post, apologies because this is... boring)

Vandheer sensed they were near.
Was it... a sense of excitement he felt? anticipation? fear? He banished the thoughts, though he did acknowledge that he felt a mild sense of determination, and that was a feeling he would allow himself to have. Whatever happened in the near future would either make Vandheer the most powerful wolf in the region, or dismiss him as just another evil loner that wished darkness upon the lands. Like ashes, shadows would fall from the sky, covering everything it touched in a suffocating darkness. The sun shined brightly over the region, but it was not to last.
For Vandheer Lorde was coming.
_Exit Vandheer_
