Puffs of breath could be seen coming from the ashy gray shewolf as she padded along on her path. Where she was headed to was unknown to her for her mind was elsewhere, it hurt her when she thought about her mother her death still fresh in Rhiannon's mind. How was she supposed to know that when her and her her sister stepped into that empty den they would meet a bear. A tiny tear formed and slid down her muzzle as she walked with her head down, she should've been more cautious then to just run into an unknown place like that. But what shocked her even more was that her sister had abandoned her, leaving her to defend for herself. That was until their mother showed up, but even she was no match for an angry bear and her wounds were to severe.
So here she was walking to what she hoped would be a new beginning for her. The chance to start over with a clean slate and a new pack to call home. She was shakes out of her walk down memory lane when she came across a faint smell. The snow had washed away how strong the scent was so while it was noticable a wolf could have continued on if they weren't paying attention. She paused and sniffed the air again, examining the space before her the tracks left in thawed out ground weren't new but nor were they old.
She sat back on her haunches being careful not to enter the pack's territory, this could be her lucky break on finding a new pack. The shewolf leaned her head slightly back and let out a howl, while her howl was not long you could hear the sadness and hope in her song. Once she was done her head lowered as she pondered on what sort of pack this was, she had never been in a pack before. Mostly because her mother had left her pack to be with Rhiannon's father and even after her father's death she had chosen to remain a loner raising Rhiannon and Tanali on her own.
