Took a Wrong Turn Somewhere (Marrow/Amora)

Something was wrong... Marrow hadn't seen this forest before and he surely would have remembered walking through a forest of pink trees. The white wolf sniffed around only to find that he had no clue where he was. The only way they could leave this place was to go back and retrace his steps. Only Marrow didn't want it to seem like he was returning Amora to her home. What a dilemma. He continued walking, hoping that the forest would soon thin out. But instead he found himself walking into two wolves courting each other! 

Marrow quickly backed away, not meaning to intrude on something as intimate as that. The male's fur began heating up under his pelt and due to its pale nature it was easy to see Marrow's face flushing. He grumbled and looked around. This was NOT where he wanted to be, not at all. Especially not with Amora. Marrow didn't want to give the she-wolf the wrong idea, not when this place seemed to be where lovers came to meet one another.

"I apologize, Amora, but we seem to be a little lost..." Marrow frowned, his brows pinching together with how troubled he was. "Um.... Are you familiar with these woods? I meant to take us through the hunting plains..."

Amora was very skeptical when her Romeo led her to the forest of love. Was her handsome guide just a creep you wanted her for love? Worry and anxiety rushed through her, hinted by anger at herself and this male. Those emotions were subsided though when the white wolf apologized. Amora smiled, her purple eyes soft.

"I must say I've never been this way before." She admitted furrowing her brow. She was much more sure of herself now that she had come to terms with her situation. Her head was high, voice full of confidence. She wasn't a child any more, though the way this male made her heart flutter made her feel incompetent. The black shewolf lifted her muzzle to the sky to search out the sun. Depending in its placement, she could tell where the hunting plains were. Unfortunately, the burning globe was directly above them. It was high noon and there was no way to tell which was was which. Even the moss in the trunks of trees here were on all sides.

Looking back up at her guide she spoke. "If we don't know which way to go, I advise staying in one place until we are sure which way is which so we don't get thrown more off track." She sat down in the grasses and wrapped her flowing tail around her Tri-toned paws. To pass the time, she struck up conversation. "So...are you ever going to tell me your real name?"

Marrow watched Amora, when they first met the she-wolf looked smaller. But now that she was more aquainted with her, she looked... stronger. And the forest's pink leaves looked beautiful against her dark coat....

Wait, what was he thinking??? He shouldn't be getting attached. For all Marrow knew, Fjord wanted her to himself. That,thought sunk in his stomach like a rock, however. If that was what his Alpha wanted he had no choice in it. But Marrow hoped that wasn't Fjord's plan. Though he did wish that Amora would stay in Midnight Silence with him. Silently anyways.

Marrow sat down after Amora did, looking down at his paws as he tried to remember where to go, backtracking their steps in his mind. He almost missed what the she-wolf said.

"Hmm? Oh, well you never asked." Marrow shrugged, "I was fine with you calling me Romeo." He added, "It's Marrow..." the white wolf fished in a mumble.

"... Do you know what this place is called?" Marrow asked as he looked over the She-wolf. He couldn't help himself really, she was very pretty... maybe the trees were making Marrow feel this way. "The trees look nice around y—um..." Marrow commented, cutting himself off. That wasn't very appropriate. Especially not on a mission.

Amora smiled. Marrow. An interesting name. The black shewolf pawed at the grass, searching for the name that this place was called by. She had never been here but she had heard about it, and this was unmistakably it. She just needed to remember its name. "Oh! I've got it! This is the Forest...of..........love." Towards the end of the sentence her voice tapered off into a whisper and tension immediately spring into the air between herself and her lost guide. She looked away from him, purple eyes avoiding his gaze. Well...this was awkward.....

"Well!" She broke the tension with a short bark. "Lets get out if here then, the barrens are towards the mountains, am I correct?" She waved her muzzle at the horizon and stood stiffly, a nervous smile plastered hopefully on her pretty face. It truly was a beautiful day. Dangerously beautiful. Marrow stuck out in this landscape like a patch of snow in a spring landscape. "Uh, yeah...the trees are......nice....and yummy? You said?"

Marrow's ears flattened against his skull when Amora found the name of the forest they were in. Of course it'd be called the Forest of Love with its pink leaves. There must be some kind of aphrodisiac coming from the tree's pollen to get a pair of wolves together. That must be what Marrow was feeling, yeah the pollen. Nothing else. The white wolf stood up when Amora said the forest's names. He had to get out of there before his mission was lost. Fjord would be angry with him if Marrow failed the mission. And the white wolf would be denied entry into the pack.

"Yes." Marrow replied "We should head towards the mountains and get out of the forest as soon as possible." he grumbled, turning his head to look at the dark she-wolf. Boy was that the greatest mistake he ever made. His eyes widened when he saw her face. Amora was prettier than she had been before. His eyes connected with hers for a heartbeat before Marrow forced his eyes away. He kept his eyes focused on his paws before he nudged her shoulder with his nose for her to follow him.

Still, he felt the need to correct her last comment. "I said the trees looked nice around you." Marrow murmured quietly and shyly. This wasn't what he wanted. It was wrong and he shouldn't be getting so close to a she-wolf Marrow didn't even know he could keep. "Let's keep going, we'll make it out of the woods eventually... I didn't mean to bring you here, my apologies."

"Oh, thank you." Amora whispered, trying her best not to blush. Amora knew this feeling. She wouldn't deny it. She was in love. Simple as that. Just a little crush, sure to pass. But Amora, being who she was narrowed her eyes with a conniving smirk as thoughts formed into her mind. If this was temporary, why not have a little fun wth it? "You're forgiven, it doesn't bother me, really." The black shewolf padded beside him, brushing pelts with him, quite on purpose. She flicked his flank with her tail tip while looking at her surroundings innocently. Deep inside of her soul, she knew she shouldn't tamper with the delicate device that was love, but with her nature, she simply couldn't help it. It was no lie, she liked Marrow quite a lot, perhaps even loved him. But she didn't know if he felt the same way, and what better way of finding out then flirtation and teasing!?

Amora's tri-colored socks pressed through the snow, delicately at first and then heavier as she bounced ahead, mark on her pelt glowing green as tiny crocuses awoke from their slumber and bloomed in her trail. She let out a cheery laugh as she loped, throwing her head back to look at the ever stoic Marrow, her deep purple eyes challenging him to run with her.
