( Rykett ) Snow: Snow was enjoying the cold weather. The snow swirled around his white face and sliver fur, and for once, he felt just the right temperature. He was on his way to Secluded Sunrise to make a alliance, but stopped dead. He smelled a rabbit, and his stomach growled. He stalked to the sent, silver and white fur blending perfectly in the snow. He saw the rabbit, and he pounced. 140 pounds of silver wolf landed on 3 pound rabbit. Snow was happily eating his rabbit when he saw a dark silver splotch in the snow. Picking up the rabbit incase whatever it was was a hungry wolf. He approached where he had last seen the dark silver, and put the rabbit down "Whoever you are, please, eat. I'm full, and it would be a waste of rabbit." he said, then stumbled back when the wolf came into sight. It was his brother, who he had thought dead for years. Nico. Nico:Nico had been wandering in circles for days, with only Ruko to give him a sense of where he was going. It was annoying, with the wind freezing his nose. Then there was a smell, wait, two smells! Nico perked his ears, then looked in the direction he thought Ruko was in. "Kid, we found your mentor." he said, then he approached the silver wolf. His brother, Snow.

Ruko:
Ruko padded silently behind Nico. He kept his head down pushing against the wind. He shivered in his thick grey coat. How long had they been traveling? It felt like they were just padding the same paths over and over again. Were they just wandering in circles through the swirling flakes and snowdrifts? There was a slight shift in Nico’s constant pawsteps. Ruko’s ears perked, hopeful that they’d finally reached their destination. Nico’s voice confirmed Ruko’s hopes.
There was the scent of a new wolf on the wind. As Ruko lifted his head to see, the wolf spoke, inviting them to eat. Golden eyes studied the wolf. He was built like a natural-born alpha. He looked older, but wisdom seemed to twinkle in his eyes. The silverish white wolf seemed stunned by the sight of Nico. This was his mentor. ”Hi,” was all Ruko could think to say.

Snow: Snow backed up at seeing Nico, but recovered quickly enough. "Hello, young one. Please, eat. You must be hungry. May I ask who you are and why you are here? Also, my name is Snow." he said with a twinkle in his eyes. Then he looked at his brother. Snow was still a little shocked, he wondered wither to hug Nico or to slap him. He decided to wait until Ruko was not around. Nico and he had a lot to talk about, but it could wait. Snow had a young wolf to pay attention to, he needed to find out what had brought them to him.
Nico: Nico wondered what Snow would do. Hug him? He didn't know.

Ruko:
The young wolf looked down at the pile of fur, meat, and bones as Snow insisted he ate. Ruko hadn't eaten in the last week or so. He'd been busy with Amora and Nico. Too busy to hunt. Now at the sight of meat, his mouth watered, but he gulped back the saliva and decided to answer Snow's questions, first. "My name's Ruko," Ruko's voice was strong, but nervous, "Nico said you could help me learn to fight." The questions were answered but no doubt there would be more.
Ruko pulled the rabbit carcass towards him. Maybe he was just overly sentimental, but he didn't usually eat rabbit. As a pup, he had been convinced that rabbits were friends. Still his stomach growled eagerly and his hunger won over any doubts he'd harbored. He snapped up a large bite. He munched a couple mouthfuls of meat more before deciding to leave the rest for the others.

Snow: Snow wagged his tail at them both. He smiled at Ruko as he introduced himself. Snow stood straighter, his silver and white fur swirled in the winter snow. The smile faded when Ruko mentioned learning to fight. Snow glanced at Nico, glaring even though Nico couldn't see. "It is far more complicated. If I was going to teach you, I would need to know what you know." Snow said, blue eyes glittering. "I am not like Nico remembers, but I can still teach you some fighting." Snow then started glaring at Nico again. He approached Nico, and hugged him. "I thought you were dead. Everyone thought tu eri morto. Negli sconvenienti." he said, Nico's dark silver contrasting with Snow's light. Snow felt Nico squirm, but he was glad when Nico finally hugged him back. Snow then looked back at Ruko.
Nico: Nico was surprised when Snow hugged him. Nico was never one for hugs, but he still hugged Snow back. They where brothers, till the end.

Ruko:
'They must be family or best friends,' Ruko thought watching the two wolves greet each other. Then he looked at his paws, thoughts of his family popping into his mind. He knew that he'd never be welcomed back. Never receive that kind of affection from the ones loved. It hurt.
Yet he had to move on. He couldn't just stop going forward because he didn't have his family's support... or love. He had a mission and Snow could help! He managed a grateful smile as Snow looked at him. "Thank you! As for what I know, I haven't gained any training in combat aside from pup play fights. I do have some mastery over a power though." Ruko summoned a cyclone at his feet as he lifted a paw for effect. It appeared as though the paw was raising the swirling winds from the dust that the dust devil carried.

Snow: Snow backed away from Nico to watch Ruko. Snow sighed, but t least he had something to work with. Play fights where good experience. He did also seem adept at using his power, but a power could be a weakness. Ruko would have a lot to learn. "Okay, lesson 1: Never rely on your Power. You will exhaust yourself, or the other wolf will have a power that is stronger then yours." Snow said, his voice strict. He was going to make Ruko into as good a fighter as him. Snow wondered how long Ruko would be able to keep a strong pace up. He and Nico had had been fighting for far longer. Nico most likely had it tougher. "Nico, you willing to be a tackling dummy for a second?" he asked, then turned to Ruko. "Lesson 2, don't underestimate your opponent. Nico may be blind, but I know a few wolves that can testify that he can kill if he wants." At this he herd Nico grunt something. Snow looked at Nico and Nico turned to face where he must have thought Snow was. Snow got a running start at Nico, and pounced. Nico slipped away, his ears working like radar dishes. Snow skidded for a few inches, but wheeled around just to be hit in the side by Nico, who must have skirted around when Snow wasn't looking. Snow grabbed Nico's scruff and pulled him off, but a clever slap at where Snow's side was with a paw left a gash over his side. Snow gave Nico a soft nip, and Nico stopped struggling. "That, is what a blind wolf can do if you underestimate him." Snow said.
Nico: Nico nodded when Snow asked him to be a tackle dummy. When Snow pounced, Nico herd him lift off from the noise the snow made. That was enough warning for Nico to slip away, and then turn sharply as Snow landed. I love winter. Nico thought as he took a strike at Snow's side. He didn't bite down, but when Snow pulled him off, Nico's paw swiped out and, from the smell, drew blood. Nico shook the snow off, smiling. "That had to be the best fight since you tried to steal my montone horn!" he said, laughing a little. It was a vary rusty laugh, more cackling. It was fun, though.

Ruko:
The vigilant student, Ruko, listened carefully to Snow’s advice, trying to commit it to memory. ”Never rely on your Power.” Snow’s words made sense. Ruko considered how he’d previously depended on his Power for everything. He’d focused on getting more powerful by leveling up his Power instead of trying to train with actual tooth and claw. ”Don’t underestimate your opponent.” Another gem of knowledge. Ruko’s trust in Nico had been well-placed. He’d been given a good mentor who was already showering Ruko with information. Ruko’s eyes and ears were glued on Snow.
The demonstrational fight was over quickly and Ruko had watched every movement. The two wolves were both good fighters and the practice excited Ruko. His father would never know what hit him if Ruko became as good as Snow and Nico. ”That was so cool!” he said, his voice sounding like the little, fun-loving pup he’d once been. ”Can you show me how to do that?”

Snow: Snow nodded, smiling. Snow's head turned sharply to look at Ruko, his blue eyes sharp. "That, is something that only wolves who have had far more training then any wolf your age. If we where in the pack Nico and I where raised in, you would have already been a equvilint of any warrior and would have proven yourself against another wolf." he said sharply. Snow then felt really bad, and lowered his head. "I am sorry, but you do have a lot to learn in a short time." he said. Snow felt like he should at least teach Ruko how to use his teeth. "Okay, come at me, I won't fight back. Just come at me and bite." he said. If Ruko knew where to go for, Snow had something to work with. Nico: Nico smiled a bit, then turned. He looked behind him, then looked ahead. He padded away, the snow whisking away his tracks. ~Exit Nico~

Ruko:
The young wolf recoiled from Snow and his eager, pup-like attitude disappeared. He’d left himself open and soft. Snow’s sharp words brought Ruko back from his illusions of quickly becoming the perfect warrior. He quickly hardened his expression and lowered his gaze from Snow’s piercing blue eyes.
As Snow’s tone changed, Ruko slowly raised his gaze hoping to see the friendliness returned. He was relieved to see a spark of gentleness in those eyes, but his newly formed shell of hardness didn’t crack. His face was expressionless, but his eyes twinkled with trust. He backed away from Snow in preparation of his attempt. Gold eyes flicked over Snow’s form as Ruko fixed on his target. Snow said he wouldn’t fight back, and Ruko didn’t want to badly hurt him or, Power forgive, kill him. In the corner of his eye, Ruko caught a hint of movement. He looked over to see Nico padding away. “Goodbye,” Ruko mouthed silently as he watched the blind wolf leave.
He turned back to Snow and suddenly darted forward aiming to attempt locking his jaws on Snow’s shoulder.

Snow Snow winced as Ruko bit his shoulder. This kid may be quicker to learn then I thought. He loked at Ruko with a new respect in his eyes. This kid had talent, that had really hurt. "That was really good, considering that you have little combat experience." Snow said, wincing again. His blue eyes met Ruko's gold ones, and he smiled a little. The kind of smile that said he wasn't saying everything. Snow started walking away, then looked back at Ruko. "Coming? he asked. Snow already had a plan, that would change both Ruko and his future. In a good way, hopefully. Once Ruko was older, maybe he would join Snow's pack. As a second in command, or maybe a gamma. Ruko seemed like the kind of wolf that would do well, after he got his demons out of the way.

Ruko:
Ruko smiled at Snow’s praise. He puffed out his chest slightly, filling with the pride of new determination and hope to succeed. He padded after Snow, following the lightly colored wolf. ’I’ll be facing my father in no time! And I’ll be victorious! It feels so good to finally be accomplishing something. I wish Amora was here and Mom. They wouldn’t be proud of me. They don’t support what I’ve become, what I’m doing. What am I doing? When did I decide to devote my life to defeat this one evil wolf? Why not fight against all the evil wolves? There’s plenty of them out and many have done worse things than my father. I don’t know if I can do this...’ Ruko’s new feeling of succeeding was suddenly smothered by doubt. He paused, looked at his slowly departing mentor.
He looked down, his golden eyes flicking to different areas of the melting snow as he thought. ”Snow…” Ruko called raising his head to look the retreating form of his mentor, ”I… uh… I think I kinda need some alone time to think. Could I maybe meet you at where-ever it is you’re going in a couple days?”

Snow: Snow looked behind at Ruko. "Meet me at the Medow's Edge Basin in the Hidden Glade in three days. I will be waiting." he said, a smile flickered on his face. Snow looked back at the direction he was going in, strangely, it was the mountain. Snow wanted a power, why not now? Even though winter was almost over, and by the next day it might be spring, why not go for a power? Snow started away, wincing a bit with every other step. Ruko was surprisingly good, that it still hurt like that. He shook it off, and went into the trees. He looked behind him again, watching Ruko for second. Somehow, Snow felt protective of Ruko. He didn't know why, but Snow could figure it out later. Exit Snow

Ruko:
"Thank you! I'll be there, don't worry!" Ruko responded, smiling with gratitude though his thoughts were all but cheery. He tried to imagine a good place to gather his thoughts. It certainly wasn't here. He looked around at the trees towering above him. The forest was too similar to a place he'd once thought that he could call home. It held too many painfully happy memories.
Ruko trotted Northeast, hoping to soon reach a place barren of trees and memories. He would rather not be struck in the same landscape as he'd always lived in as he made life-changing decisions.
-Exit Ruko-
