@wolves4ever
Avery's paws crunched softly on the dry grass of the plains, summer air ruffling her sandy-blonde coat. She kept her eyes and ears alert for any prey that may be present in the area, nose twitching subtly to take in the scents. Ave shot a sidelong look to Wolfi's dark gray form, eyes trailing to the dark red stain of blood on his side. She wondered if he really wanted to do the hunt, in the shape that he was in. She shrugged it off, figuring that he was strong enough to get through it... they'd both have to be careful, though. Hunting could be pretty dangerous, even if you were in perfect shape.

He tired to shrug off the pain in his side only to now try to hold back a yelp of pain as he glared at his wound. He noticed her cast the side-long glance quickly. He hide his pain with a small smile and started to trot to her, only to see her shrug it off. He sighed in relief and started to speed up his slow walking pace a little more as he finally smelled something good... Deer. He grinned as he motioned his head to the left a little, pointing his nose slightly to the deer as he trotted up to her side. With a sharp turn he started to get low to ground in the grass, trying to silently move his paws forward as he started to stalk towards the deer. ((@shiver )) (For hunting Mod)

.:A small herd of deer now dominates the meadow, the particular deer spotted is slightly astray. There is relatively no wind:.

Avery’s gold-flecked gaze followed Wolfi’s subtle gesture, eyes settling on a small herd of deer. A small grin broke out on her face as well, but quickly changed back into a look of focus. Avery quickly assessed the situation, noticing that one of them had wandered a little further away from the group. All of her senses alert, she noted that the air was quite still, meaning that their scent wouldn’t quickly reach the deer. That was a good start. Ave lowered her form closer to the ground, stalking slowly and carefully towards the deer, placing her paws with delicate precision to ensure that she didn’t step on anything that would make too much noise. She planned to go between the stray deer and its herd, cutting it off from the others; if Wolfi jumped out at it, she predicted that it would panic and try to head back to the herd, where she could intercept it. Avery shot a sidelong glance to Wolfi’s dark grey form and paused, wondering how she could convey what she was thinking without making noise. She waited for him to notice that she had stopped walking, then looked straight at him, taking a few slow and purposeful steps towards the space between the stray deer and its herd as if to say “this is the way I’m heading.” She nodded towards him then jerked her chin towards the target deer, motioning for him to head towards it. Ave hoped that he understood the message that she was trying to send to him; this hunt could go either way, especially as Avery wasn’t used to hunting alongside other wolves.

He noticed her stopping as he saw where she motioning he nodded his head as she walked away. He now focused and started to stalk the deer his muscled coat gleaming a little bit as he continued to stalk the deer very carefully taking note that the wind was very still as he was nearly behind hot he deer, careful not to step on any twigs now as he gathered his wits preparing to make the craziest jump of his life. He now bunched his back legs, gathering his wanting to flee wits once more as he let a low growl in his throat jumping out at the Deer, while hoping the the stars and back not to get kicked and if he did he hoped it wouldn't be told hard of a kick.

.:the buck does not notice the shewolf behind him, but he does notice the one slinking through the grass in front of him. He raises his head and begins to back away. When Wolfi leaps his wound screams out in protest, causing him to fall short. The deer quickly lowers his medium sized antlers in defense, all the while backing away:.

Avery quietly and carefully sneaked around behind the buck, keeping close to the ground. So far so good, she thought; it hadn’t seemed to notice her yet. Suddenly it began to back away, obviously having seen Wolfi, who was now launching himself towards the deer. She barely stopped herself from letting out a small gasp as he fell short with a groan of pain, his wound obviously aggravated. There wasn’t really much she could do for him at this point; he’d just have to last out until the hunt was over. All the while, the buck was slowly closing the distance between itself and Avery, unaware of her presence. She prepared herself to launch forward, picking her target; she quickly decided to aim for its flank. With not even a growl of warning, Avery shot forward, launching her long-legged frame straight at the buck’s flank with fangs flashing towards it. If she succeeded in her shot, she would attempt to rip at its flank and stomach, trying to use the element of surprise to her advantage. She noticed Wolfi had come around to the side as well and was attempting a similar move.

Bunched his back legs then jumped forward in a quick motion, his pure white teeth showing, as his jaws were opening in a wide motion, as he opened them quickly. With his aggravated, wounded, side still bleeding more than it was when it reopened, from him failing the first jump. ((Forgot about the 'turns' DX lolz oh well, I'll remember next time. Besides I guess I was really tired lolz Ok so Only five more words maybe? And that was one hundred! xD )) ((@shiver @blackwinter ))

.: the buck rushes backwards in alarm aligning Avery's attack. Avery rips into the Bucks flank, however because of his closeness, she doesn't have a good grip and begins to slip. Wolfi launches forward and slashed her fangs across the shoulder in a shallow but lengthy wound. The buck reacts to the attacks by bucking. He throws his legs into the air attempting to launch Avery off. She will fly off unless grip is tightened:.

The sandy-blond female felt her teeth sink into the buck's flank and was rewarded with the metallic taste of blood. She ripped at the deer's flank with her teeth, but just as she did so the deer started to buck crazily, making her weak grip start to slip off. Quickly deciding she wouldn't be able to hold on, she let go as his legs hit the ground and ducked to the ground to stop her momentum, rolling away a little to avoid the buck's hooves. Ave quickly scrambled to her feet and ducked in again with lightning speed, trying to rip at its underbelly, hopefully weakening the deer with that blow. Her jaw ached a little from the buck's jerky movements, but she tried to ignore it.

He growled, his hackles up, as he charged at the buck again, avoiding the crash with the bucks legs, he growled lowly at it. His white, sharp, fangs showing at the buck as he stalked forward once more looking at Avery, then nodded his head to her. He started to run at the buck, his back legs bunching up, ready to jump, as he showed his pure white fangs once more, snarling at the buck as his back legs unbunched, letting him fly at the young bucks throat quickly. ((phew... now only a few more to go... one more... maybe another one,.. and done.))

.: the deer flings his legs back once more, making Avery's attempt a clear shot. She swoops in under and makes a deep gash in the Bucks underbelly. Bleating in pain, the buck stops kicking and instead lowers his antlers, Wolfi's arrack will end in being punctured by antlers, he can avoid this, however, and land a hit on the beasts throat if he can turn his charge into a slide under the Bucks head:.

Avery's ears picked up a cry of pain from the buck as she inflicted a deep gash on it's stomach. Avery backed off for a moment as it stopped bucking and lowered it's stance to assess the situation. Muzzle stained with blood, Ave watched as Wolfi leaped towards the deer's neck, just as it began to lower it's antlers. "Watch out!" She yelped out almost involuntarily, hoping Wolfi would be able to change his path in time to avoid a dangerous injury. She could tell the buck was beginning to run out of energy, and the hunt could be over quickly if they hit at the right times.

At hearing her shout, he started to come up with a few plans. Ok maybe if I growled lowly, then let out a little howl to spook the buck, as I continue to charge at it still getting ready to slide underneath the buck. Or... I could just continue to charge at the buck, and hope that I dodge the antlers in time.... Or I could do a loud growl which will hopefully spook it good enough to rear a little letting me jump at its throat... He growled shaking off the thoughts, as he twisted on the ground, near the buck, then leaped forward aiming, his sharp white fangs, at the bucks, now vulnerable, neck.

.: The buck snorted twisting his body away from the wolves, antlers raking at the air and the oncoming wolf. Wolfi succeeds in his endeavor and punctures the throat. However, while the buck dies, the deer panicked and begins to run. The wolves will have to follow it until it's lifeblood runs out, or risk losing their prey:.
