Lydia stepped out into the open grasses, pollen swirling up from the assorted fronds and flowers, making her nose twitch with irritation. The cream shewolf swung her head around to look for her newfound companion. It was strange for her, not being alone. She was used to being cruel and alone. Although she was still cruel, she was no longer alone. He wasn't like her at all really, but that's what made him interesting. "Hurry up slowpoke!" She hissed into the rustling green underbrush of the forests edge. If Oblivioux was any slower, all the prey would be gone; for the sun was high and they would be fleeing to the trees for shade. Meanwhile, she surveyed the plains for any sign of meat. Anything to sink her teeth into. This time of year, the caribou might be around. They went further south in the winter, but as it was summer, these northern parts just might be accessible.

Oblivious came out of the bushes looking at Lydia. She was certainly interesting to him, and basically nothing like him. He seemed more nicer, while she was more soft. Opposites attract though... did he really just think that?

He looked at her and raised an eyebrow at her statement towards him and then responded. "Why don't you slow down, there isn't much of a rush." he stated and then moved up towards her side looking around at the grass-lands. He felt his stomach grumble lightly as he looked towards Lydia again, wondering where we were. But most importantly, when they were going to get food.

.::A herd of buffalo numbering to about 100 grazes deeper in the hunting plains. They're spread more apart than usual as they eat. They are about 15 calves in the herd. Two of them graze on the edge of the herd nearest to Lydia and Oblivioux. There is a small herd of about 10 caribou along the forest edge to the right. There is a calf in the herd, but it's in the center of the herd. A couple of the nearest caribou have noticed the two wolves, but seem unconcerned with the predators as they are a safe distance away. To the left, there is a community of ground squirrels. Only one squirrel is on alert, but it is facing the opposite direction of the two wolves. The rest of the squirrels are searching for food in the tall grass surrounding their burrows.::.
