Amora felt like a trespasser. She hadn't spent all that much time in these woods. Her scent was surely washed away from this land. She was going to howl at the border, but she didn't know if that was necessary. She was the daughter of the Alphess, still remaining a stranger. She wondered how Ramone and Tear were. Did they finally have pups or was Tear not ready yet? Was Foxtrot still distant? Was Blaise still in power? Had Ruko returned? Was mother stronger than before?
Amora had many questions that remained unanswered. She was awake, no longer tired from healing. She had rested quite well on her way here. Unfortunately she still didn't know what to do. Did she seek out her mother? Wait for someone to discover her? Maybe she should get going with hunting...maybe she should just leave again....with a sigh, Amora settled for just wandering the territory, thinking, contemplating.
She looked almost exactly like her mother. It took most wolves a couple of seconds to differentiate from the two. Amora shook out her darker fur and plodded on, tri-tones paws pressing into the thin layer of snow, bright sunset colors standing out in the ashy winter scene. The colors around her reminded her of what Blaise had said her father had looked like. The same colors as Ruko. Looking down she wiggled the small stump of her front leg, mauled by Ruko. Looking around she decided to compensate....perhaps she could make a type of replacement leg. She'd spend days on it, perfecting it....first she'd have to decide what type of wood to use....something strong but flexible. Looking around she shrugged and chose a tree.

Epsilon:
It was a mild winter day when the silver-colored male finally set about digging his den - a project he'd put off for far too long. Yes, he'd noticed the community den where at least some of the pack sought out shelter or retired to when night came on, but he wasn't ready for that. He didn't feel the camaraderie or closeness with anyone enough yet to take shelter with the others - he'd always been raised in the dens of lone wolves, and he would continue to call a smaller den his home - for the time being at least.
The white - now brown and black paws widened and his claws grasped furiously as he tried to dig around a tree root to enlarge the hollow where he'd been taking shelter from storms since he'd arrived. It was not a particularly good spot. On the contrary, any sensible wolf would have disregarded it immediately. A boulder in the grove sat next to a group of young trees and there was a small overhang from the boulder with a hollow where he could just fit if he curled up small enough. Now he needed to increase the space - but as a more experienced den chooser or digger might have guessed, the boulder was partially buried, providing a terrific place for one to bump their head upon entering and the roots of the young trees were abundant in this particular spot. He could have guessed as much, but frankly he enjoyed the strain of the work.
He missed the soil completely and the root slid painfully under his claws into the sensitive little sockets that sheathed them. He pulled back quickly and decided to take a break for the time being. As he backed out of the deepening hole, being careful to keep his head low, he turned to see a jet black she-wolf with sunset colors examining one of the trees near his boulder. Alphess Blaise?
Certainly there was resemblance, but this she-wolf was younger - a little bit taller. Bright freckles danced across her face under her amethyst eyes and she was missing part of a front leg!
Epsilon blinked and shook his head slightly to clear his head and make sure he wasn't seeing things, but the dark-coated vixen remained and he realized that this look-a-like to his alpha was very much real.

Amora sniffed the trunk with her light pink nose; yes, this wood would do quite nicely for her purposes. Now...she could either cut the thing down slowly with sharp vines or a pebble...or she could replicate the tree with her botanical abilities. However, she didn't want to exhaust herself today with either task so instead she decided to mark the tree with an X for later use. With a sharp black claw she engraved a shallow mark onto the trunk. Finished, she turned...
Taking an abrupt step back, she was astonished to see a silvery wolf staring at her from nearby. His paws were rather filthy and his eyes were practically popping out of their sockets. Immediately in the defensive, she snapped at him. "What're you gawking at?" Amora turned away so he couldn't see her short, scarred stub that extended just below her chest. Narrowing her dark violet eyes she surveyed him. He looked strong, he would be difficult to defeat in a battle, but with her power she'd surely win.
Wait! What was she thinking?! This was likely a member of her mothers pack! Her pack! She shouldn't even think about hurting her pack mates! It felt so strange to think about it that way. Pack mates that didn't even know her....eyeing him skeptically, they were at a stalemate. She waited for him to speak, every muscle poised to react. He obviously didn't know who she was, it seemed both of them had no clue about each other.
She shifted her paws in the light dusting of snow. He seemed like he had paused from digging, surely a den or a cache of food. Amora wasn't hungry though, she'd have time to hunt later...

Epsilon:
She she-wolf noticed him and snapped at his rude stare and turned away and he was reminded of his manners. He shook his head again and glanced away to end the awkward gawping and looked down apologetically at his paws as he replied.
"I'm sorry - I didn't mean to stare, I'm afraid you surprised me." he looked back up at her apologetically. He rather felt like he was apologizing to an alpha - but maybe that was because of her strong resemblance to Alphess Blaise. But now he was starting to notice more differences between the two: the swirling patterns on her sides were pink rather than orange and her legs were a vibrant gradient rather than the simple rings and white socks Alphess Blaise had. However both seemed to be on their guard whenever they addressed him.
He realized that he was staring again and instead made eye-contact so it was more of a conversation appropriate look than just rude staring. "My name is Epsilon, a member of Secluded Sunrise. -I'm sorry for being rude, but you look a great deal like Alphess Blaise. I almost thought you were her there for a minute."
He maintained eye-contact, determined not to stare again, she was already bristled and looked doubtful of him and he wanted to go back to digging his hole. Why did he always bungle these sorts of things?

Amora appraised him. He was polite, strange...she hasn't met many humble hewolves. Ears twitching, she forced her fur to lay flat, although she left her tense muscles poised. Ever since the Ruko incident, she was permanently on guard. He confirmed her speculation as a member of Secluded Sunrise, then he remarked in how similar she looked to Alphess Blaise. With those words, her brows took a sad tilt and her lips twitched into a slight smile.
"That would make sense since I'm her daughter." Amora pointed out, relaxing even more. There was no reason to be so tense. He was part of her pack, he didn't seem aggressive, and she always had the element of surprise because of the power she held. The green mark was hidden among the many spots and swirls of her pelt. "I'm Amora." Sge wondered if her mother ever spoke about her, or if she didn't talk about her family affairs. She could understand that, as the subject of her father would've surely arisen. And Amora knew how sore a point that was for her mother. Epsilon, an interesting name. It slid off the tongue easily.
While Amora was slightly unnerved about the solid eye contact, she refused to look away. She wasn't weak, she was strong. She could handle staring someone in the eye. Accepting his apology with a nod, she looked at him more closely. His pelt was thick and silvery white, lined with blue and green markings. She had to admit, he was a handsome wolf, not without blemish if course, but she liked an imperfect wolf. But she wasn't here to get all romantic, no....she was just...why was she here? Because she had nowhere else to go? To be with her mother? Amora was chalk full of uncertainty. And she hated it. She might as well be certain about spine thing and help Epsilon in whatever he was doing. Surely he didn't just dig holes for fun.

Epsilon:
He felt himself relax a little as the she-wolf's lips twitched into a reluctant and sort-of sad smile. "That would make sense since I'm her daughter." she replied demurely.
He felt his brows lift and his own lips separate as he felt a question come to the tip of his tongue before he caught it. Her daughter? That would mean Alphess Blaise was a mother - she had children, a family, a mate. This was truly a surprise for the new pack member. He had searched the border diligently, he couldn't find an alpha male's mark for the life of him. An authoritative female scent and a beta male certainly, but not an alpha male. He had to wonder where the father was or if Blaise was widowed, but it wasn't his place to ask or interfere with an alpha's business. Still, if there was Amora, where there others? Were other younger wolves in the pack her children? He didn't know any well enough to be sure.
He adjusted his facial expression. He could be downright bad at introductions and conversation, and he was reminded why he'd gone quiet for so many years and he wanted to go quiet again before he ruined everything. "It's nice to meet you Amora," he stumbled over the words a bit, "I'm sorry to have disturbed you," and he turned to go - then remembered that he'd been digging his den. Where was he going of his den was just right there? Away, away until he could return to digging in peace. He sheepishly ducked his head and searched desperately for a reasonable direction to head off in.

Expense: Spenca loped through the grove. Her black fur ripped through the woods. She had autumn colored spots on her rump and gold rings on her front ankles and a half beige tail. She was loping along, and then she felt her nose ram into a leg. She looked up, purple eye the only one not clouded. The leg she had rammed into was black and her first impression and her first reaction was "Mommy?" She asked, then saw it was a different she-wolf. She trotted forward and puffed out her scrawny chest. Her mother was the alphess, one of her twins. "Hello, I'm Spenca." She smiled, looking up at the black she-wolf. Then looked at Epsilon, and said, "I don't think I have met you before. Or you." she looked between the two, expecting a answer.

Amora was going to Follow Epsilon, but was stopped for two reasons. One, a pup had run into her leg, setting her off balance; and two, Epsilon didn't look like was going anywhere. Thanks to the pup, the black shewolf tottered for a moment and then fell forwards, unable to catch herself with only in leg. She really needed to get working in that peg leg.
"Oh, er....hey." Amora wheezed, embarrassed as she struggled to her paws. "it's...uh...nice to meet you Spenca." She stuttered, mentally beating herself up for falling like a cripple in front of a cute guy. She had figured if she didn't know why she was here, she might as well be here for romance. And currently her flirtation hadn't started. And might not ever thanks to this pup. The dark colored she wolf moved away from the pup to see a den. It was small, and not placed very well. With a frown she felt her power mark glow, the roots creaked as they moved and curled upwards, creating room, and less work for the digger. Whom she assumed was Epsilon.
She snorted as she realized that was why he looked so confused. The only place to go was right here. He was trying to avoid her. Frowning even deeply, she sat. She wasn't going anywhere until he got comfortable with her presence.

Epsilon:
His plan to slink off into peaceful and familiar quiet was interrupted with an "oof" and he turned around to locate the source of the sound. A young she-pup had run into 3-legged Amora and set her off balance. The young one craned her head back in slight confusion "Mommy?"
Maybe he was wrong, but he didn't think Amora was old enough to have pups of her own yet - then it struck him. He couldn't have been the only one to note the extraordinary resemblance between mother and daughter. This young one had probably made the same mistake - but she referred to Amora - or rather to Blaise as her mother as well. Did she not recognize her sister - her half-sister? He was overwhelmed with curiosity, but held back, it wasn't his affair.
The cub introduced herself as Spenca and sat back expectant for an answer. He quickly answered for both of them as Amora was still working her three feet under her to struggle into a standing position. "Hello Spenca, my name is Epsilon and this is Amora." he smiled solicitously, then did a double take. His den wasn't full of roots anymore, they were curling and pulling in an unearthly fashion out of the way of the worker. He turned to the most likely suspect. Amora was sitting, cool and collected and he noticed a slight glow of a power-mark amidst her swirls and spots. She had the power of Botany.
He smiled at the she-wolf appreciatively. "Thank-you,"

Exspence: Exspence jumped as the male spoke, on her blind side. She took it gracefully, turning and smiling. "It is qyuite nice to meet you both!" she said, her tail wagging. She also had two more members on her list. She followed with quick footsteps. She looked up at her 'half sister', and glanced between the two. A smile came on her face and she sat and curled her tail over her paws. Something told her she may have to play Cupid, but Spenca hoped it wouldn't come to that. She had her own romance to worry about. And a identical twin. She smiled at the thought of her sister, but wondered where she had gone. Spenca shook her head, she was fine.

"No problem, I do what I can." Amora shrugged pelt ruffled in embarrassment. Looking at her handiwork Amora began reevaluating her options. Maybe romance wasn't the right choice. She could do so much more! She could heal and help with her ever growing botany power. Gifted from Sheba herself. Besides, Epsilon didn't seem her type.
The shewolf then redirected her attention to the little pup. Blaise had had another litter? Boy she had a lot to catch up on. Shaking her muddled head she spoke. "Erm...I hope you don't mind me asking, but who's your father?" She normally would be upfront about everything but this was the matter of her mothers new mate. And her new "father" figure. She eyed Epsilon and the pup. She had indeed noticed green on the pups pelt. And last time she checked Foxtrot didn't have any green adorning his muddled pelt. Epsilon did. Yet another reason to not get romantically inclined with him. He did seem unnerved to find out he was Blaise's daughter. Mother truly needed to be more honest with everyone, secrets could tear a pack, a family, apart. Ruko was evidence of that.

Epsilon:
Amora modestly accepted his thanks and then turned to little Spenca, surprising him more than ever with her next question: "Erm...I hope you don't mind me asking, but who's your father?". Amora didn't know the father either? More questions were spinning wildly through his mind. Just what was Blaise's story? What was the story with Amora missing from the pack-meeting and her missing leg? What had happened to her father where she recognized Spenca as a half-sister rather than a full blooded relation? Where was Spenca's father? Where was Blaise's mate - the alpha male?
If Amora was asking, he suddenly felt much better about asking as well and felt inclined to listen in - if only to stifle his own curiosity. Certainly there was a strong resemblance between young Spenca and her alleged mother - with the dark coat, vibrant colors and the one purple eye - but at the same time, something was off...he couldn't quite put his claw on it, but he had a feeling that there was a lot more to this story of Amora's family than met the eyes.

Exspence: Spenca sat down, thinking. Who was her father? She had only met about five wolves that she remembered. A early memory tugged at seven wolves. She shook her head, and said, "I don't know who my father is, I just think he may have had blue eyes or something. Mom isn't half blind either, so I don't know where that came from." she was thinking hard now. Then she turned to Amora. "Do you know if mom was a twin or something? I have a identical twin sister, Lisanna." she was rattling off facts now, but she wanted to know. This coversation was arising questions she hadn't thought of in a long time. A past that included a evil pack, a unknown brother, and a true mother who had left her here. Spenca knew nothing of this, as far as she knew her mother was Blaise and she had no siblings besides her twin and no known father.
Spenca looked up at Amora, her purple eye questioning. Her blue eye just stared like the dead thing it was. She noted that Amora had no spots on her rump, or gold rings on her ankles. She did have purple eyes, and that reassured her somewhat. Something they had in common besides the base fur color. Purple eyes. Only from what Spenca had seen, Amora was not half blind. Only missing a leg.

Amora was growing ever more curious about this situation. This wouldn't have been the first time Blaise had not spoken or lied about a pups father. She snuck a quick glance at Epsilon, he seemed as curious as she was. So that counted him out. Especially since little Spenca didn't call him Daddy. Amora frowned. All this silent drama and she had only just walked into the territory. Maybe pack life wasn't for her...
'Stop jumping to huge conclusions!' She scolded herself. Just because she didn't like drama, didn't mean she wouldn't benefit from the pack structure. With a huff, she looked at Epsilon. "Perhaps we should return to camp with Spenca here. It seems we all have done questions we would like answered." It was an invitation she didn't know if he'd take. He seemed respectful and quiet, not quite the one to pry. Especially into the Alohess' love life. But Amora didn't fear her mother. She knew that behind the string and elegant appearance, Blaise had no idea what she was doing. Especially with Foxtrot not being around. She was too afraid to demote him. Nodding in farewell, Amora began to leave, tail thrashing.

Epsilon:
Amora's confused face became firm and disapproving. As Spenca concluded all she knew and countered with a question of her own, 3-legged Amora huffed sternly and he suddenly sympathized with her. Obviously much had happened in her young life, losing a leg and apparently a father and becoming estranged with her mother to the point of absence (and not even knowing of her two younger sisters!) being only the tip of the iceberg.
She turned her firm gaze to him and he became more alert as she put out an invitation to look for Blaise and ask for answers. He weighed the options for a moment before shaking his large, grey head. "You go ahead - I really should get back to work and I don't want to interfere with your family." Family - Epsilon felt - was personal and intimate. Certainly it wasn't his place as an omega and still practically a stranger to the pack to go poking around asking for information Alphess Blaise may have wanted to keep private and in the family.
Curiosity was gnawing at him like a squirrel on a nut, but the thought of actually seeking out his alphess and asking about something so personal...no. If Amora wished she could come back and share - but he felt this was a matter better handled between mother and daughters. Having so declined he turned his attention back to his den, now free of roots thanks to a certain Botanist and he again began to dig.
