Who knew that finding a den could be this hard? (Daria )

Dreamer shook his fur, once more he was in the lead, listening to Daria explain what the den should look like, yet again, as he said with a small smile on his snout. "Yes, honey." His tail twitching as he said to her as he walked forward. "Stay there I'm going to check out something, that may or may not be a good den." With that he stepped into the odd looking den and smelled the air in and around it before he went inside to check it out. His red eyes serious, for he knew that Daria could have the pups anyday now, and that. Honestly.


That is what scared him the most right now. He now walked into the den sewing that there was enough room for three full grown wolves. His red eyes light up in joy as he now checked every single corner of the den before coming out and looking around as he heard the rushing of water, maybe only a few rabbit leaps away. Smiling as he walked up to Daria and said calmly. "I think. That we might have found the right den. Come in and check it out, Daria. After all. Your the final den judge."

Daria padded carefully through the trees leading up to the ruins; for while she was normally careful, she was even more so because of what precious beings she held inside of her. She was growing bigger by the day, the weight of the pups making her steps feel leaden. Although she wanted the perfect den for the new family, she knew that nothing was perfect and that they had to settle down soon, or she may give birth in the middle of nowhere. As Dreamer called out to her, her stance relaxed, relieved that a den had been found. Her pickiness dampened by the dire situation, she accepted his choice. "It's quite nice." Daria slumped inside and lay down, her silver brindled side heaving up and down. From what she could tell, the den was stone and the floor dirt. The entryway was small, and there was water nearby in the form of the Amoux creek. With a contented smile she laid her head down. "Why don't you go Hunting, see what a around these parts?" She smiled, eyes closed. "Dont worry about me, nothing could get inside." She was being truthful, no predatory animal large enough to kill a wolf could fit through the opening. Just wolves. And what wolf would kill a pregnant shewolf? Fjord. But he wasn't around anymore.

Dreamer didn't like leaving her alone, but knew that he had to to, at some point for him to hunt down some food for them. He sighed as he walked up to her licking her check as he said. "Alright. I'll be back soon with some food, Daria. Howl if you need me." He turned around walking out of the den. He knew that his mate would howl if the pups were coming or if she needed help. His thick tail swaying as he followed the scent of some mice, and trotted after the fresh scent of a squirrel and rabbit. He speed up quickly, his tail in the air, as he now chased down the rabbit quickly. He leaped onto it's back and sunk his fangs into it's neck, killing it quickly. He looked around and hide the rabbit then went after another rabbit quickly, he turned a sharp right cutting it off, as he bit into its neck then carried it to the other rabbit. He dropped the second rabbit then picked up the two rabbits in his jaws as he carried them to his mate quickly. He walked in the den saying to her, with the words slightly muffled by the two rabbits in his mouth. "I'm bwck hwme, Dwria!"

Daria clenched her teeth, clamping her silvery blind eyes closed. This was going to be a piece of cake after what she had been through before. Or at least she hoped....And it started now-

"Heh, surprise." The silver shewolf laughed with an exhausted pant. Small and wet, curled up next to her belly were two pups. One was a dark brown color, while the other was the colors of spring. "I've named her, Fairy Tale. our Fairy Tale. You can name him. He's quite the strong and elegant boy." Daria beamed down at her children, then began to lick at their fur, fluffing their thin coats up to dry. "Dreamer..." She gazed up, eyes glazed over with glee and exhaustion. "Goodnight. Heh, thanks for going hunting...heh."

Dreamer looked startled, as he perked his ears, smiling at the two wet bundles of joy as he said while licking the dark brown ones head then Daria's as he nudged her a rabbit. "Jeff. That should be our little boys name..." Curling himself around her, Fairy Tale, and Jeff. As he layed his head down on his paws the two rabbits in front of Daria, for when she woke up, as he stared at his small bundles of joy. Saying quietly to himself as his red eyes closed. "I won't let anything harm my precious bundles of joy... My little lights of hope... Fairy Tail and Jeff."

This was hard!!! Too hard. Daria gazed up at the stars, her family was asleep. The den was a bit behind her, it's warm depths stuffy. Only a smattering of stars could be glimpsed through the ever thickening spring leaves. Summer was coming, and with it the need to move. Dreamer was kind but made Daria anxious, Fairy was a small whining lump of needy fur, and Jeff was just a pain sometimes. She loved them all, it was true, but Daria hadn't known what she was getting into when she went after Dreamer. But now....she was exhausted, no longer fit, the romance had faded and stress opened up into arguments between her and her mate. Daria felt like she couldn't do that anymore. She couldn't mother these children. Fairytale and Jeff were old enough to eat meat and they have been for a week now, they could learn to hunt soon, Dreamer would be good at that, because that's all he did.

Daria felt like leaving her family....but should she?
