Illao:

Illao's voice echoed through the redwoods as she did what she did best, talking. "Y'know it's funny! You two keep call me Iallo when it's really Illao. I don't know why I've never mentioned it before, but that's the name my parents gave me. Granted it's a bit weird, but still it's mine. Y'know, you guys have been calling me Iallo for so long I guess it's kinda like my nickname, but at the same time, that doesn't make sense. 'Cause, usually, a nickname is a shortened version of a name or a different name completely that rather refers to an experience or characteristics, but Iallo doesn't fit into either of those! It has the exact same number of syllables as my real name and it's not like Squirrelface or something. But, if you guy want, you could keep calling me by Iallo. I don't mind too much. Even though it's not a nickname, it's still like a-um-second name to me. What is a second name, you ask? Well, it's what Iallo is! Kinda like a nickname, but not. Hey, y'know who has nicknames though? My mom and dad. My mom's name's Kitsune, but Dad would always call her Kit. My dad's name's Jelack, but sometimes when we were playing, Mom would call him Jello. I don't know what it means, but it sure sounds funny! Don't you think?"

Illao's never-ending train of out loud thought accompanied the small group of wolves as they traveled through the forest. The canopy overhead was lit with green light from the overhead sun. The cast patchy shadows over the young wolves' pelts as they walked.

Flint:
Flint sighed, but still smiled at the never ending train of thought of his friend. "Iallo, you have not stopped talking for two years. When first met you, you made me fall of a wall with your chatter." Flint smiled, red fur glinting in the scattered sunlight. "If I remember right, my response was 'My name is Flint, and I'm not alone'." Flint remembered those few moments fondly. His fire orange eyes scanned the forest, paws making barely any sound. They where a odd band, three two year olds, a yearling, and a pup. No odder then when the band had been five before, and now they where five again. Well, four. Jess had left to explore a bit. She promised to come back, she was just going to see if she could find Toki and Kodi by herself. Flint had protested, but he couldn't stop her. So, they where four. Flint had enough to do without Jess to worry about, so he kept his mind off her and did a lot of hunting. He vented his anger and frustration on the pray he caught. Flint looked behind him at the two younger wolves. He and James where going hunting, and there was nothing James could say that would sway Flint's mind. "James, come on. It's high time you started earning your keep around here. We are going hunting."
