Mykko:
Since receiving his power, Mykko wandered. He didn’t focus that much on where he was or where he was going, he just wandered. If he stumbled upon a pack borders, he carefully skirted around the territory and continued on his way. He was in his head most of the time, pondering. His thoughts often wandered like his paws, though they stayed roughly on track. They moved from one subject to the next as if he was conversing with himself. Maybe the Zen was helping, but Mykko found himself quite relaxed by the time he grounded himself to earth again. His pondering of the universe were wrapping up as he entered the Northeastern barrens. ’If the sun is similar to the earth would that mean that it was as big as the earth? I suppose so, but that would also mean that it must be very far away to appear as small as it does in the sky. Would the sky be even larger than it appears then? If the sky is large, it could prove difficult to figure out how to get up there high enough to study the sun, moon, and stars. I need some kind of power or device… maybe something out of trees…’ Mykko blinked, glancing around for trees. ’Except I just happen to be in the part of the valley without many trees. When did I get here?’
That last thought was rather worrying. Since when did Mykko become so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn’t even realize he’d left the forest. ’What if I’m on pack territory?’ That thought was terrifying. A murder pack lived in the Heathlands! If he was on their land, he was dead meat. He frantically sniffed the ground for any sort of scents that might tell of a resident pack. A puff of dust exploded around his muzzle. Mykko sneezed then relaxed. What wolf scents were present were old and stale. Definitely not a current pack territory or very visited. Sighing, Mykko straightened and glanced around. The landscape extended to the border mountain. It’s seemingly endlessness was interrupted by the presence of a boulder large enough to shade a wolf. The mottled sand possessed a sort of strange beauty with it's vary bright and dull colors from brown to a ruddy orange. It was strange how the colors of the sand changed, ’I wonder what causes the different colors and why they appear in such a marbled pattern?’ There was only one way to find out. Mykkko dug. Multicolored paws scraping away at the curious sand. As the hole got deep, Mykko found that the colors were layered, similar to the style of certain rocks. Could it be that rocks were actually made out of sand? Or did rock create this sand? It was a conundrum. Mykko hit a layer of rocks, one of which gouged a small scrape into his pawpad. Mykko yelped softly and cursed the rocks under his breath. Deciding he was getting no where, Mykko hopped out of his hole. He had made a discovery, however small, that he surely would pursue later. Perhaps he could find a wolf with Stone or Soil and see if stones and sand were as linked as he theorized.
Mykko stood motionless for a second, absorbed in his thoughts once more. The breeze whistled softly, combing through his fur with transparent fingers. This part of the valley was so barren. Not much life seemed present, but it was there. A shrew nosed it’s way through the sand not far from Mykko. Silver eyes fixed on it as Mykko refocused his attention on reality. Perhaps he could grab a quick snack. He crouched, slowly as to not alert the shrew. He waited patiently, counting on the fact that the shrew hadn’t noticed the predator and would come close enough for Mykko to pounce. Just as Mykko predicted the shrew toddled close enough and Mykko leaped, quickly grasping the tiny creature in his jaws. With a quiet crunch, he ended its life. Sidling over to the boulder he noted earlier, Mykko relaxed in the shade. He munched on his snack, unaware to the world around him, again.

The sand moor was a dusty place to set paw, Volpina hated it. It was so rough and coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere. However she was here for a very plausible reason. To irritate her sister. To make sure that albino shewolf would never succeed in her mission to destroy their branch of the family tree. And simply to enact her evilness upon all who crossed her path. It was simple really. Besides, her target wasn't short of handsome. She had been watching him from a distance for quite some time, crafting the perfect character to compliment his. She saw her moment quite early on in his wandering of the barrens. His path seemed to wave back and forth, it was quite easy to calculate where she should lie in wait. And so she sat in the shade behind a large boulder. Volpina watched him approach, vibrant green eyes half lidded against the sun. His fur was slightly disheveled and his bright colored paws were coated in sand. His distracted eyes suddenly shifted, his gaze settling on a nearby shrew that was shoveling through its own small sand dune. She watched as he ended its life with an efficient nip. Then he came to sit behind the boulder in front of her. Now they faced each-other, each wolf with their back to a stone. He was completely oblivious to her presence, giving her more time to fashion a character to portray.
With a deep breath and a shiver, Volpina got into her groove.
"Quite the lovely day, sir." Her silken voice interrupted the silence of the sand moor. She sat, relaxed across from him, a curious smile on her pretty muzzle. She stayed distant, not wanting to frighten him or move in too quickly. A hawk glided over the desert, shadow glancing past. The habitat wasn't truly silent. Nothing ever was. One could hear the scratching of critters tunneling under the earth, the distant warbling of a bird, and even the minute hiss of a sand serpent. Volpina gazed at him, wondering how she should go about this. She didn't think he was the type to introduce himself first. Perhaps he wouldn't unless he was pressed to do so. In order to pressure him into sharing his name, she had to introduce herself. Unfortunately she couldn't use her real name, she didn't know if Purge had enclosed her plan with anyone else. It was unlikely, but as a precaution Volpina had come up with another name, an alias if you will. "I'm Lila."

Mykko:
Mykko jumped, visibly, as a voice interrupted the quiet of the atmosphere. Dropping the half-eaten shrew in his surprise, he looked up. His silver eyes immediately focused on the she-wolf sitting before him. They flicked over her slim figure as his mind spun for a response. Mykko didn’t particularly like conversation. He always felt rushed to respond. When he tried to take things at his own pace, wolves had already moved on by the time he’d come up with all he wanted to say. ’Going into any conversation you should get a sense for what kind of wolf you’re talking with. She seems polite enough, but she’s only said one thing so far. Most wolves are polite when you first meet them. She did call me “sir”... I don’t think anyone’s ever called me that… So, I guess she’s more polite than most. I should mirror her politeness with a fair amount of my own. So what to say in response… Is it a lovely day, I suppose so, though this place isn’t that lovely to my eyes. I prefer the forest. How would I say any of that without sounding rude as if I was completely disregarding her opinion of the place? This might be her home! Just keep it simple, get directly to the point, but stay polite. Easy, right?'
As Mykko opened his maw to respond, the she-wolf was already moving on. Her name, 'Lila, like a lilac except she doesn't appear anything like a lilac. Her coat is more like this landscape; red, brown, and orange. Perhaps her name better fits her personality. Beautiful like a flower inside and out... but how could her parents know what her personality would become. Perhaps they only hoped. Or her name could be the name of a notable ancestor that her parents wished to name her after. Or it's just a name and isn't meant to have anymore meaning than Lila gives it. Oh, Power! I'm supposed to be responding. She just gave me her name so the polite thing to do is give her mine. Get on with it!' "Mykko! My name's Mykko," Mykko stammered, blushing at the pause in the conversation he'd caused. 'Abort! Abort! Move on before she can notice the mistake too much.' "I suppose you could call it lovely," Mykko spat out what he'd been about to say earlier.
He internally groaned as he realized he'd basically just called his name lovely. 'Just clarify and she'll understand. And say something smart so she doesn't think I'm an idiot.' "The day, I mean. I suppose you could call it lovely. Whether a day is 'lovely' would have to depend on one's state of mind. A day could be perfect in terms of weather, but awful in terms of luck. So, the loveliness of your day would depend on whether you focused on the perfect weather or your bad luck," Mykko flashed a smile at Lila, hoping he'd properly recovered the conversation. 'That actually came out okay, if a little long winded. Wow...'

Volpina leaned her thin back against the sandy boulder, a small smile playing onto her muzzle. This Mykko was an interesting wolf indeed. He jumped like a started brown hate, dropping his meager meal in the process. He seemed to be thinking his reply over quite thoroughly, his silver eyes deepening in thought. Mykko was a thinker, analyzing everything intensely. However his analyzations seemed to get out of his control as he spring into speech. She flicked her lip up into a charming smirk as she brushed her tail across the earth once or twice. His theory was interesting, weather, luck, and the mental state of the viewer. All things Purge would've said back when they could converse as friends. Most wolves remembering a memory lost to sadness would soften their eyes and feel a pang of heartache; but Volpina only felt malice towards her sister who had ruined her life and had followed her here to continue. However Volpina couldn't even snarl or frown, for she wasn't Volpina at this present moment. No, she was Lila, a well mannered romantic with a sense of humor and slight spunk.
"Interesting reply Sir Mykko," She spoke, her voice soft but loud enough to be heard over the empty space. "However, I believe the day makes itself lovely. I mean, it can do what it pleases." She spoke of the day as if it were a sentient and changeable being. Volpina was hoping this would spark the factual hewolf to correct her. She had an entire map layed out before her mind, a plan of manipulation made specifically for Mykko. The domino effect was in motion, all the wolf in front of her had to do was knock down the first tablet. To obey his irresistible urge to correct and convince.
Volpina flicked her ears forward to listen for his reply, her eyes absently wandering to the sky, thinking about her next move.

Mykko:
'A day can't make itself lovely can it? Well, a day is-No! Don't think! Talk! Do the thing that Sheba had me do. Just say whatever comes to mind. Or she might move on, again... this might end in disaster... this is going to be a disaster... what if I make a rude comment or I-Just respond!" "I suppose, but a day isn't really an intelligent being who could cause itself to be lovely. But if it were, I don't even think it would have the capacity to make itself lovely. I mean, a day in the purest sense of the is time between sunrise and sunset. Whether it's lovely or not depends on many different variables weather, experiences, season, location, and so on and so forth. In order for a day to make itself lovely, it would have to be in control of many things including the actions, reactions, and emotions of wolves which is impossible. I'd imagine that a sentient day would only be able to control the weather, wind, and temperature and even those bend to the will of some wolves in this valley. So, I still believe that we choose whether a day's lovely or not." Mykko's voice was quiet, hesitant, and on the edge of stuttering nervous. Though, near the end of his miniature speech his tone grew slightly more confident. He drew in a small breath after the flow of words that'd come from his lips.
His eyes flicked to Lila watching for a reaction. 'That was a disaster. I definitely said too much. Too longwinded. I could've just shrugged my shoulders and said "Sure," but no. I have to ramble on about whether or not a day couldn't possibly be conscious. I probably scared her off. She'll probably just nod, politely excuse herself from the conversation, and go her own way. I'll be back to roaming alone... but that wasn't a bad thing necessarily. Just because I might've been lacking company didn't mean I was lonely. I was quite content in solitude. Thinking without anyone to interrupt my thoughts... Still, I don't want her to leave. I want to talk to someone. At least it could possibly provide me with a new perspective.'

Volpina wanted to chuckle and laugh, afterall, Mykko was surely a learned wolf, or at least an entirely bogus one, as herself. Although, she surely admired his clever decisiveness. Although, Lila, her character thoroughly enjoyed this banter of theories, she must get moving on. "Sure, sure. Why don't you go ask Sheba, that mystical wolf whom has the ability to turn the sun back a day!" She lifted her head in a cheery, triumphant smile, as she slid seamlessly towards him. "So, then, would you make this day lovely? I think it is, after all, I met you. And surely, that is a lovely thought. Enough to, perhaps, make the day a good one?" Lila was now a single wolf tail length away from Mykko, directly beside his shrew, or whatever the mangled thing was. She was going to state that he hadn't finished his breakfast, but instead she waited for his reply, for she could tell that he simply couldnt keep up with himself, let alone quick moving Lila.

Mykko:
Lila didn’t seemed offended or anything by Mykko’s long-windedness, thankfully. Mykko wondered if she’d respond with her own theory, instead she agreed, something he probably should’ve just done initially, instead of starting a debate where one didn’t need to be. Lila mentioned Sheba and Mykko smiled, realizing that he could respond to that comment without much deep thought. ”I already tried that actually. Sheba prefers to let wolves find their own answers.” ’And I have no idea whether Sheba can turn the sun back a day. How would that even be possible? Would it be manipulation of the sun or of time, itself? If she’s manipulating the sun, I can imagine that. After all, I’m pretty sure the sun a giant fireball and the White Wolves had fire power. As for time manipulation, I’m not sure if the White Wolves can do that. I mean maybe they can since they’re immortal and all. Is immortality a type of time manipulation?’
His silver eyes refocused on Lila as she slid closer to him. Her voice was smooth and melodious as she spoke. Mykko blinked trying to comprehend the meaning behind her words. ’She thinks the day is lovely because she met me? That’s a compliment, right? Of course it is, but she would compliment me? Why? Does she like me? I don’t know. Not many wolves like me. Mother does, but she’s my mother, so it’s natural for her to like me. All others don’t. Any who once did, don’t anymore. Besides, they far away. I’ll never see them again, but Lila, she’s here and she likes me… she might even be… flirting with me? Does she like me that way?’ Mykko’s mind worked furiously to reason though the implications of the words, then he realized, ’She’s waiting for my response. How do I respond? Do I flirt back? How do you even flirt? Just act natural, perhaps. Like I would if I were talking with a friend. Is Lila a friend? I suppose she’s quickly becoming one. Just say that I think it’s a lovely day as well because I’m talking with her. I suppose that would match her flirt and she might take it as one.
‘Do I want to flirt with her? She might pursue a relationship, do I want that? Well, Lila is quite the beauty, she’s polite and she seems kind enough. She also seems to have some insightful thought. I wouldn’t mind if we got closer, though, I also wouldn’t be surprised if Lila’s flirting is just friendly and that isn’t her intent. I won’t ask her about it, neither will I pursue her. She can set the pace. If she want that kind of thing with me, I don’t think I’d say no, but then again, it’s improbable that’s what she’d like. I mean, why am I even considering this as an option? No, she’s probably not interested in me and… I still need to respond!’ Mykko fumbled out a response, ”I suppose I could, I mean, I’d like to. Talking to you has surely made my day lovely.” Mykko fur puffed in blush as he spoke, trying very hard not to stutter.

"How wise of her." Volpina responded with a melodic laugh, her tail tip twitching back and forth with the movement. Mykko was funny, ans rather sweet. If Volpina hadn't been who she was, she might've been liable to fall for him. In fact, deep in her mind's vault, her youthful love had been quite like Mykko. He had been a handsome cream and brown wolf with rusty orange speckles spattering his hips and shoulders. His yes had been an intelligent tel, a ring of silver around each pupil. He had been the love of her life, and they were about to settle down together when Purge ruined everything. Her estranged, psychotic half-sister had entered her life with a trail of blood in her wake. She had brutally assassinated her mate, Raqwali in his sleep, and almost had her too. But she had gone out for a midnight hunt, ready to surprise her mate with breakfast in the den, only to find her home covered in his red, sticky, remains.
Now she was here, a ghost of her past self filled with malice and undoubtedly evil. "You'd like to what?" She asked the colorful male, not sure what thought he had finished aloud. For she had not invited him to do more. Simply agree that the day was lovely. Lila dismissed the interruption and went on. By the stuttering of his speech and the look in his eyes, he may have suspected that Lila was flirting. Now she must make as much obvious. "I've a feeling that the meadows of the valley will be exceedingly lovely and desirable at this time. Perhaps...the forest of love?" She turned to him, suddenly closer to him, She tried to keep her eyes playful, so as to not scare him away. The forest of love was a bold move, perhaps she should've went with the alternative Lunar Meadow...indeed there was still time to fix her slip up. "Or, the Lunar Meadow! Perhaps instead of examining the strange pinkish leaves, we could witness the unearthly glow of the flowers? What say you?" Volpina had to be careful now, she was sending mixed messages in unfamiliar waters....

Mykko:
”You’d like to what?” Lila prompted. Mykko winced, realizing he’d opened a small door into his inner thoughts, thoughts that would scare Lila off if she’d didn’t want and relationship and she realized all he’d been considering. Mykko quickly attempted to answer her question by brushing it off as something about the lovely day. ”I’d like to make the day lovely for you.” Mykko winced again. The meaning behind that was also suspicious. Lila was moving onto another subject. Mykko focused on it with relief, only to realize that she as much confirmed that she had been flirting. ’The Forest of Love?! She wants to go to the Forest of Love with me… Oh, Power, she does want a relationship! I don’t know if I’m ready. I mean, I’d like to be ready, but I’ve never been in one before and I really don’t want to screw things up with Lila!’
Her green eyes were fixed on his silver one. They glinted with playfulness. ’Maybe she’s just teasing me? Maybe she has a different reason for wanting to go to the Forest of Love?’ Lila continued speaking, suggesting the Lunar Meadow, instead, and her reasons for wanting to go to either location. ’She wants to study the Forest of Love, not use its design. Well, she might be hoping to kill two rabbits with one strike… but still, at least we’d be doing something there beside just talking and leaving ourselves vulnerable to the Forest’s intoxication. Still, I think I’d rather go to Lunar Meadow. Its reputation isn’t nearly as romanticas and the Forest of Love’s. Though, admittedly, wolves often go there when romance is on their mind. Oh, why are the two most intriguing places in the valley shrouded with romance? I guess that’s not necessarily a bad thing, right? I’ve already established that I kinda want a relationship with Lila, so why am I hesitant to go somewhere romantic? I guess I’m just scared of the unknown as all wolves are. Relationships are unfamiliar so me… I’ll just focus on the objective side of Lila’s intentions, observing the flowers. They are quite the anomaly. Now just agree and maybe add a comment about how you'd like to see the Lunar Meadow.’
”That sounds like the perfect plan. I’ve always wanted to see the Lunar Meadow for myself.” Mykko glanced around, getting his baring. Then he trotted Southward towards the location. He glanced at Lila, flashing a smile and pausing for a second to allow her to start travelling beside him. It would be quite a journey, considering that’d they were in the North end of the valley. They’d be traversing most of the valley. At a steady, quick pace, it was possible though tiring. It’d no doubt take the entire day to reach their destination, but that was good. The flowers did only glow at night after all.
-Exit Mykko-

Volpina was relieved to see that her fumble had not disrupted her operation entirely. He answered sweetly, his intelligent silver eyes not devoid of what she was looking for. After all, she was waiting for him to give himself to her. To fall in love with Lila. Volpina's first priority wasn't breaking hearts, but extending her posterity and her mothers 'cursed' line. But breaking hearts and spreading hate and pain was certainly a plus for the evil wolf. Geist had certainly admonished her to spread her hate around the valley wherever her dainty paw set place. Volpina had no qualms with her commandment, no, she quite enjoyed the duty she had been given.
With a small laugh, and a twinkle of her bright green eyes, Volpina set off behind him. Mykko would have no trouble for falling in love with Lila. She was a sweet, charming she wolf with an intelligent mind; who didn't mind the scatterbrained-ness of the brown hewolf. With a smirk over her shoulder, The fox-like shewolf set out to the Lunar Meadow: beginning phase two of her plan. -Ext Volpina-
