It was maybe a few days after the dark starry she wolf had left her siblings leaving them to figure things out on their own. She figured she could of just waited to see their problems play out but she could care less. If she would have stayed she would have had to deal with her older brothers,a d that she didn't want to have anything to do with. They may have had strength against her but she had her speed and smarts. She knew when to take her leave. Now she settled down in the place in which her siblings scents had vanished from her nose. They had probably long since left but she didn't care. She just needed the brief rest and then She would attempt to practice her new powers given to her in a game of chance with Geist. The mark marked her bright blue chest. The mark was a silver swirling lines that marked her power of that of air which when she learned right could benefit her just as much as the power she had wanted originally,Shadow Mastery. Plans and ideas came to mind. One of them was her ideas to start her own pack,take a territory,cause problems, and one she didn't think she would think of was find a he wolf who would share her same ambitions. Her blue ,with an ice blue ring around it, eyes narrowed as she heard someone coming. That sent her senses on high alert as she stood up again. The night air was brisk but it didn't bother her. She figured now could be a good time to try her new ability. Having no idea how to really activate her powers she just focused on it and the mark on her chest gave a small glow for a moment a small bit of smog appeared if for a small moment before it quickly vanished. With a small growl she spoke up"Who's there!"

Nyx, Yami;
The moon was bright that night, allowing shadows to form underneath the redwoods standing guard. But all of a sudden, as if there was a trick of the light, the shadows melted away as if being drawn back into the surrounding forest. Every shadow in sight was pulled away until there were none left. It was curious, but the reason was soon shown. The orange glow of Nyx's defensive power-mark was shining visably through the trees as she approached. She was what the shadows were being drawn to. It was almost as an after-thought, for Nyx. Drawing every shadow around her and manipulating then, stretching them, and controlling them had become like an instinct to her. Her paw-falls were silent, but that was to be expected. Because of the strength of her gift, she was able to see with perfect clarity in the darkness of the night. She did not need to sleep anymore, either (though she didn't sleep very much before), and so night-time strolls were very normal for her.
But this time there was another with her that was not quiet. Yami was much younger and clumsier than Nyx, and therefore there would be no silent-trips through the trees with the pup around. Yami's fur had much the-same kind of orange that Nyx's did, though with different patterning. Nyx's back-half and legs were the smouldering orange, as well as strips along her ribs and a splotch on her face. Yami had black ears, legs, and tail tip, though the way the black melded with the orange was more like smoke, in the pup's case. Embers and ashes.
Nyx's ears flicked as she heard a call up ahead. "Who's there!"
The shadows dripped out of the trees before Nyx did, like a poisonous gas, but the moment her black and orange head came through the leaves, the shadows leapt back and encircled her once more, like a moving, dark, second-fur. After a look from the older female, Yami didn't come out of the break in the trees, and instead remained hidden.
Nyx gave an empty smile to Nox, who was a little ways off, her burning eyes as dead as ever. But there was no aggression, yet. As far as Nyx was concerned, they were both out enjoying the night air. "I don't believe we've met."

Nox;
The night themed she wolf looked at the she wolf that came through the treeline. Her muscles tense under her blue pelt. Her icy eyes watched Nyx,as she took in her appearance. One thing she did notice was the glow from her mark on her face. Nox flicked her tail her gaurd up as she watched her."No I don't think we have."She said keeping her tone even but that didn't mean she wouldn't turn hostile if the situation changed. Her mark on her chest settled back to its silvery gray mark for a moment which stood out against her blue chest."I'm Nox. Now who might you be"She said.

Nyx, Yami;
The female before her, marked like the night sky, seemed uneasy. This made a lot of sense, as Nyx was quite unsettling. To her credit, however, she remained calm and civil. Had she done anything else—gotten defensive or aggressive—Nyx would have just laughed in her face, as she had done to countless wolves in the past. The skinny, half-dead-looking female gave a raspy, chilling laugh and stretched her front paws forward in the ultimate show of comfort and calm, her joints cracking and snapping as she did so. Her power tattoo didn’t stop glowing, either. It rarely ever did—and Nox noticed it. Nyx watched as the female’s eyes trained onto her head. Nyx blinked those off-putting eyes, and suddenly the shadows encircling her body stretched in size. They dripped off of her in pieces until they meshed back together on the forest floor, and steadily began crawling towards Nox. ”Hello Nox.” Her tail thrashed behind her as the shadows continues to seep towards her. ”I’m Nyx. It seems that we have rather similar names.”
Yami listened to the conversation from her hidden spot among the leaves. Honestly, the farther she was from Nyx the better, so she wasn’t complaining. She made sure to stay still though, as moving might cause her to make noise—and Nyx would flay her for that, she knew.

Nox;
Nox watched Nyx's every move, her uneasiness gave way to an eerie calm. She sat down her ears pricked forward attentively. Her ears flicked back as she heard Nyx introduce her."so your one of the reasons I couldn't claim my desired power from Geist well I suppose this is fate we met then"Box replied her voice icy but she held a calm that was scary itself in nature."so what brings you out this way I assumed someone like yourself would be in a pack"She said as if they were best of friends but that wasn't the case.

Nyx, Yami;
Nyx’s too-sharp and uncannily empty smile split her cracked lips once more, when Nox disclosed that she was a factor in being denied her desired gift from Geist. She found that very funny. Perhaps she had made a good impression on the deity after all. The shadows crawling toward Nox stretched larger, but then stopped but a few inches from her paws. Nyx’s eyes burned, and suddenly the shadows leapt upward and became a perfect silhouette of Nox herself. The shadow-female looked back and forth, them was dragged back and enveloped by the shadow-fur covering Nyx. She clicked her teeth.
”Must be fate,” She nodded, but held a little chuckle within herself. Nyx did not believe in the fates, and if they were real—then Nyx was certainly on their good side. One didn’t get dragged back from the after life if the fates were against them. And then Nox’s voice changed to one of false-friendliness. Nyx’s smile held fast, though her mind has begun turning. She spoke again, but this time matched Nox’s friendliness exactly. ”I am in a pack,” She turned and flashed her shoulder towards the female, Fjord’s Mark of Silence burned into her skin. ”But I focus on different things most of the time.”
She was of course talking about the band of like-minded evil wolves that often roamed about and caused terror and havoc. Bane, Sigyn, Fenrir, and most recently Mayhem and Hailstorme, and of course, herself. Though this wasn’t to say that it wasn’t allowed, or even that Fjord would have disapproved, for the group encroached on no pack land—but he also didn’t know about it. Then again, the group lacked the organization that would bother an alpha, anyway. They were not out to claim anything. They were just spreading evil throughout the valley. Nyx had a feeling Fjord would be all for it.
She looked Nox up and down once more, her eyes shivering back and forth so quickly it was as if they weren’t attached to her body at all. If Nox proved herself, she could well be a good addition to Nyx’s little band of brothers. She planned to observe very closely throughout their next interaction.
Yami shifted in the bushes and snapped a twig. Her ears flattened, overcome with terror—but it had been a small twig. Perhaps, if she was lucky, the females hadn’t heard.

So she was in a pack. That was new to the she wolf. Nox wasn't much interested in joining a pack rather she wanted to form her own pack. Though her gaze watched Nyx intently her ear flicked as she thought she heard a twig before she responded to Nyx. She had noticed the shadows but she didn't jump not really she watched it rather eith interest then fear. She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws"Really well it's none of my business on your personal life. I have no interest in joining a pack rather I am going to make my own soon enough."She said her head raised a little bit."So may I ask did someone follow you?"She spoke as if it meant nothing but it wasn't really.

Nyx, Yami;
Nox was intrigued by the shadow-play, but of course she was. Hadn’t that been her wish in the first place? Nyx knew full well that was the case, and the shadows circling her suddenly adopted the form of spikes. They rose up like a conveyor belt, one after the other growing out of the darkness and then being engulfed once more, in an endless, sharp loop. On either side of Nyx, two arches of moving spikes formed on the ground, gaining size and speed with every second. Perhaps she was doing it to taunt Nox; perhaps not—though an empty smile was tugging at her lips as the rotating darkness spun around her.
When she mentioned forming her own pack, the rotating spikes ceased entirely and melted back into the swirling pit that was always surrounding around her feet. Her head tilted a fraction of an inch. Nox wanted to form a pack? Nyx’s quick mind ran through all the wolves she had meant that were evil-enough to consider such a thing. She lifted an eyebrow. The only ones that came to mind had already formed a group with her. Though this wasn’t to say that she wanted to form a pack, exactly. Unless....
Nox’s next words made Nyx’s eyes flare. She wanted to know if she had been followed. A hiss-like sigh purred out of her throat and she snapped her head towards the bushes. Yami hadn’t stayed quiet. Nyx gave Nox a searching look, always an unsettling thing with eyes like hers, then cleared her throat. As if the sound had been a scream, Yami leapt into action like she had been stung. With careful steps, so as not to disturb any more sticks, she crept up to Nyx. Tail far between legs, ears flat against her head, she halted a few feet behind the orange demon, her nose an inch from the ground. Her little heart thrummed against her ribs, and her sides heaved as she hyper-ventilated in silence.
”Yes,” Nyx whispered, eyeing Yami as if she was dirt on her paw. ”Someone did follow me.”

Nox ice blue eyes with the blue ring in it narrowed slightly watching the spike with bristling hackles the mark glowing at her chest for a moment as a small mass of smog took the small area around Nox for a moment. That was until the spikes vanished and she forced herself intense a tense,semi relaxed, state. Though she took notice it was after her statement of making a pack. Standing the mark at her chest dimmed and returned to normal but the smog was slowly disappearing. Her sharp icy gaze moved to the pup as it made it's way out and her ears flattened watching the little scrap as it came out with a tail far between it's legs." I see well it's seems it has been there the whole time. Though I don't care. The pup doesn't look like she could do too much....no offense kid"She said.

Nyx, Yami;
A smog filled the area as Nyx's shadows spun. The smog bothered Nyx's eyes, but as her shadows died down and lessened, so did the smog. The smog came from Nox, it was clear, as a tattoo on her chest had started to Glow. Nyx blinked back the last of the irritation away, and fixed the female with an appraising look. "So Geist did grant you something after all," Her orange and black eyes traced over Nox's blue frame, taking a firm mental note of the tattoo. It was interesting, and quite handy. Her own shadows couldn't cause physical harm—only distract, annoy, intimidate, and occasionally blind. Smog was something more.
But then the conversation switched to Yami. Nox made some comment that it didn't look like she could do much. Yami flinched when spoken to, looking up haltingly at the blue female. Yami's neck was raw from the thorned leash that Nyx made her wear. She didn't reply, but her black eyes bored into Nox's, as if silently pleading for help. Nyx rolled her eyes and buried her claws into Yami's scruff, then dragged the pup behind her, out of sight.
"She is mine, and you are correct that she can't do much," A shadow began circling Yami behind Nyx, which made the pup cower and look down to the ground. "She shouldn't have been seen, and certainly not heard. A shadow is never heard." She finished with a whisper of a snarl, and the shadow tightened around Yami's neck as if it were the leash. Yami made no move.

"Of course she granted me something. I was told it was just as useful as shadow mastery if not better"Nox said flicking her tail before she then redirected to her gaze to Tami and Nyx for a moment her ears flattened but she didn't make a move to stop what she was doing nor would she want to."yes well you have fun messing with your...shadow I'm thinking of heading out."She said with letting her bristled hackles relax and she shook the dirt from her pelt."besides seems you are pretty preoccupied obviously "Nox said. The blue she wolf moved not turning her bad to Nyx rather she decided to push her WYA past and or around her.

Nyx;
"Of course she granted me something."
Nyx's eyes widened, and all of the moving shadows around them died. She would speak so bluntly about Geist? She would presume that Geist had to give her a gift? Nyx was not so brave as all that—or perhaps brave wasn't the right word. Nox then went on to explain that Geist had told her that Smog was as good as Shadow Mastery, perhaps even better. Nyx frowned softly, searching the back of her mind. She had known what Smog users could do at one point or other, but now the details escaped her. She lifted a lip in near-aggravation. If Geist had said it, then there was a very good chance it was true. Maybe Smog was better than her own precious gift. But she tried to ignore that. She had never doubted herself before, and now was not the time to start.
Nox then spoke very dismissively, saying that Nyx looked busy and that she hoped she had fun messing around with Yami. Nyx blinked slowly, glancing once at Yami, then back to the female before her. She could think of an endless amount of cutting replies for Nox in that moment, but something made her hold her tongue. She tilted her head very slowly to one side, and narrowed her eyes. "Don't let me keep you..." Her voice held an edge of something mysterious in it. What, maybe she wasn't even sure.
Slowly then, Nox had started to edge away from Nyx. Nyx had half a mind to follow her, but decided then that if the shewolf wanted to go, she wouldn't stop her. Yami whimpered from somewhere behind Nyx, but Nyx ignored her. This whole 'slave' thing was turning out to be more trouble than it was worth.

She had watched as the shadows had practically died down around Nyx and seen her surprise. She flicked her tail ever so slightly and looked at Yami for a moment before she stopped and said"well then I might stuck around I might not but as far as it goes....I believe your....little shadow doesn't need that much of a punishment as you are giving the kid."She said turning ever so slightly as she faced Nyx and Yami."besides I just have a good sense of hearing and sight when I want to and I heard her despite the little pup not wanting to be heard"She said simply."besides you aren't keeping me I'm just travelling around no set destimation right now" the dark furred,starry pelted, she wolf said her unusual icy eyes with blue rings looked to the orange and black she wolf. She planted her dark paws onto the ground firmly before Nox let her gaze move to Yami. She let her eyes portray some sympathy for the she pup but not much. Not long either as she let the emotions vanish."so are you going to stop or will I need to make you"She said a slight growl coming from her.

Jolfo saw a glimpse of a few wolves, one walking away from the other. Jolfo didn't want to have anything to do with these wolves, so he turned tail and ran, and accidentally stepped on a sharp rock and howled with pain. Jolfo's eyes widened at the sound of the echoing howl. His guard hairs rose and he saw a wolf step through the bush near the place he was located. Jolfo slowly backed away, wincing with pain leaving bloodied pawsteps where he had walked. He collapsed, with his paw pads stinging, gushing out blood. He let out a cry of pain. He hoped he would be able to go free when those wolves found him since the wolves he had seen seemed evil and unforgiving.

Nyx, Yami;
Nox then tried to tell Nyx how to treat Yami. Yami, her slave. The fact that Nox was trying to tell her anything was laughable, but especially when it came to her own property. Yami peeked out from behind the orange legs, but quickly retreated once more when Nyx's ear flicked. The older female's brow lifted slightly, though her eyelids fell over her ember-like eyes as she regarded the night-coloured wolf before her. "You would tell me how to treat what belongs to me?" Nox hadn't taken her words seriously, either. Not that Nyx was especially bothered—but it was the principle of the thing. She almost wanted to ask Nox to repeat herself so she could pick apart what she had said, but ultimately refrained from doing so. There were times for such things, and just then didn't seem appropriate, especially when the scent of another came to her nose. In seconds, a loud howl had broken the silence from whoever had just arrived. Nyx blinked very slowly, then turned her body to face the newcomer.
She eyed the male's now-bleeding paws in silence, then clicked her stained teeth together. The sound pierced the forest air around them, too harsh in the otherwise quiet environment. Yami had looked out when he howled as well, for she had felt something inside of her stir at the sight of him, lying there hurt. She wanted to help—or did she? Instead of doing anything though, she merely stayed frozen behind Nyx's legs like a literal shadow. Nyx looked down at him, making no move to help or show that she necessarily cared. Instead of words, her tattoo flared up on the side of her head, and suddenly the weak-shadows of moonlight darkened and formed into snake-like patterns, slithering towards him across the dark floor. She glanced once at Nox, who would understand what was happening, then back to the male.
