The flame in the forest{joining pack}

Set heard there was a pack near him and that it was evil. He looked around trying to find a place a pack would be. He knew he had to be nice to the alpha if he wanted in so he kept thinking about his sister to get his mind off being mean. He walked on wondering if the pack would except him. Even though he killed his patients and kept it a secret from his little sis he was still a pretty decent wolf if you knew him. He sniffed the air and caught the scent of wolves. He smiled and noticed the border. He walked over it and waited for someone to come to take him to the pack.

It took a bit of time for any response to come. The territory that Perjury held was vast, indeed, and the redwoods that populated her domain only served to make it so much grander. The alphess felt his presence as he walked over the border—her power to detect movement through the soil was great, even at a distance. Disappearing into the ground, she tunneled a ways between the roots of the trees until she came to be near the spot where he stood. The ground rumbled as she rose up from beneath the soil, a dramatic entrance if there ever was one.

The alphess looked the newcomer up and down, perhaps an amusing sight for any stranger who might walk by and see a very short, petite female appraising a much larger male. He was as tall and fit as any male in his prime. Her head only came up to his shoulder, but she had no worry of being attacked. Her power did not come from pounds of muscle. "Hello." She let the word hang in the air and waited for him to speak.

The bright red male looked up to see a smaller female saying hi. Even though she Came out of the ground she looked normals enough. "Hello my name is Set." he said a little gruff. He was in a bad mode and didn't know why. He just wanted to join the pack to show others his good of a warrior he is. He smiled at the smaller female hoping he didn't seem to intruding. "What's your name are you a member of the pack here?" he asked trying to act casual so she wouldn't want to him. He hoped it was working as he was in no mental shape for a fight. He was worrying about his sister and that usually kept his mind off stuff at times.

Perjury stifled a chuckle at the male's cluelessness. Was it very conceited of her to expect to be recognized? She thought that by now her reputation preceded her, but the valley was a big place, and she had stayed in the forest for a very long time. Maybe it was time to start getting out more. Even more humorously, he seemingly had no reaction whatsoever to a wolf rising up from beneath the soil. That she could have expected from someone who knew her—or at least knew of her—but the combination of this nonchalance with his seeming ignorance was just too funny.

She decided to give him a hint to see if it would spark some recognition in him, or at least to see any kind of reaction. "You are standing at the border of the Frigid Plague. My name is Perjury."

Set looked at the females with confusment. He tried to pinpoint the name of the pack but couldn't. "I'm really sorry but I can't recall that pack but I think I heard it before." he said then remembering his sister saying to never join the evil packs. She named them all off and frigid plauge popped up. He smiled as he remembered. "Now I remember aren't you the alpha." he said then a shocked face appeared on him. He couldn't believe he was talking to the alpha of the pack he wanted to join. He smiled at perjury and wondered if she thought he was amusing.

The alphess chuckled a bit, shaking her head at the thought of crossing the border to a pack without even knowing which pack it was. What a world.

"I am the alphess," she said, "I'll take it that you have a lot to learn. Is this really your first time hearing of us? A large chunk of the forest is ours, including most of the redwoods. It's the best place in the valley to call home."

Her eyes narrowed a bit as she appraised this curious wolf. Even he didn't seem to know exactly what he was doing on her doorstep. It was a dangerous gamble, walking over a border like that with no intentions in the world. "What brings you here, exactly?"

Set stared at the alphess now a little intimidated. He giggled at how the way she said it made him sound stupid. "I was wondering if I could join your pack. I'm trying so hard to get away from my past and some loners mentioned joining a pack would help." He said smiling at her. He wondered if she could help his little problem. Ever since he killed his parents then ran away after a year of taking care of his sister. He looked at perjury with a questioning look hoping he was aloud in. Even if he had to take test he didn't care he just wanted in.

"You're running away from your past? Interesting. What past would that be?" It was not an uncommon thing for her to hear, especially from wolves of her persuasion. Evils of all kinds had a knack for getting themselves into troubles that would haunt them for years to come. But it was only evils of a certain kind who had the respect and loyalty to conduct themselves in a pack, follow orders, and live harmoniously with their packmates. Perjury wondered if the wolf who stood before her was that kind of evil. She could not put herself in his shoes, as she had never lived as a loner herself. This was the only life she knew, but she knew it well.

Set tried to think of a way to say it. "Umm well when I was half a year old I killed my parents but don't remember why.
I started to take care of my little sister but after a year it was getting hard because she was a good wolf. As time passed she wanted to know how are parents died so I ran from her not wanting to tell her. So far I haven't seen my little sister in a year." he said looking down. He hated to say what he did but knew if the alpha wanted to know he should tell.
