The ground was soft underneath the neon green paws. Only bark and fallen leaves crushed. Alvern starred at each with a murderous glare. He didn't like the earthy colors of the red forest. How did he even get to the Redwoods? He walked along, his tail tip swished across the soft earth. "Why here? This soft ground will swallow me whole!" Alvern clawed the ground, praying for another presence. He starred at the russet colored trees. 'What if these trees where smaller?' He asked himself, all the while trying to jump up and land on the nearest branch, but failing.

A hiss escaped from his throat, the golden eyes fixed on the branch. He finally sat down and howled at the tree. "C'mon!
Let me get on you stupid tree!" But he didn't get up. He sat and starred, not knowing what to do.

Kalanxi:

A leaf crunched under the black wolf's weight. She slowly dragged herself through the russet colored trees. Something glittered in her mint green gaze, something weird. She starred at another wolf. He sat there, talking to a tree. She cackled in laughter. Why does this wolf think a tree, of all things, can I all back to him? "What are you trying to accomplish?" Kalanxi sneered. Perhaps he needs another wolf's presence. She slowly walked over, the same thing glittering in Kalanxi's gaze. Insanity. She has met wolves before, but none of these colors together. He was a neon green wolf with lots of blue and black markings. His golden eyes glowed with murder. Then he called the tree stupid and starred at it some more.

"You won't be able to jump up on a tree like that! Just jump, before you lose a leg." Kalanxi joked abput the first part, but she will tear off his leg if he doesn't. She was crazy, and always follows on her threats. She sat down behind him, her day getting more and more enjoyable. This wolf looks half dead enough to be easy to kill. For some reason though, she didn't want to. She wanted to bget to know this wolf. A wolf like her. "I am Kalanxi, and I have been told I am insane. Who might you be?" Her voice was cold, although insteset flicked in her gaze, replacing the craziness for a second. The tall trees blocked out the light as she starred at the neon wolf in front of her, making her black coat seem like a shadow with chain markings.

He heard paw steps, crunching on the soft earth. Alvern didn't n their to jump up at the noise. This wolf might just not be like the half dead wolf sitting in front of the tree. What are you trying to accomplish?" He felt his fur rise at the wolf's question. By the way the other wolf talked, it was a female. He whipped around just in time to see the large wolf. She was black, with red chained markings. Her eyes glowed with insanity. No wonder she spoke with a sneer. Then, she threatened him, but why? He did nothing to her. His cold eye redirected towards her. "I know how to climb a tree" He said, but felt the need to take it back. His looked away quickly, suddenly embarrassed. Then, she told Alvern her name, Kalanie. No, Kalanxi.

"I can tell you are insane, but that is not me. Nope, I'm crazy." He said with a smile. He took note how cold her voice was, and copied it. "I'm Alvern." He jumped up on the lowest branch and looked down at the sneering Kalanxi. His golden eyes regarded her with a gleam of interest, and she seemed to return it. He jumped higher, barely making it. He sighed with relief and starred down at Kalanxi, straight in the mint green eyes. He smirked and waited for her.

Kalanxi:

Kalanxi regarded him with cold eyes that could freeze a wolf to death. She saw him snap back at her, his golden eyes meeting hers, only for a second. Alvern called himself crazy, and Kalanxi understood that. He looked like the scrawniest wolf she has ever seen, but Kalanxi has heard of much more dead looking wolves. Suddenly, he jumped up onto the lowest branch and looked down at her. She snapped her jaw and he jumped up to a higher branch. She took note how pitifully small he was compared to the russet colored tree. He looked down at her and smirked. To Kalanxi, it looked like the goofiest smirk she has ever seen. She had to admit, it looked cute but out of place on the scrawny wolf.

Eyeing the tree, Kalanxi bunched her muscles to jump, only to land back on the ground. A low growl came from her throat and she tried again, daring for Alvern to do anything. This time, however, she landed on the branch, her claws digging into the bark. She met Alvern’s eye for a long and awkward second. Then she jumped down, taking some of the russet bark with her. ”Before you go on and invite me on a branch, you tell me about yourself.” She hissed at Alvern, although she didn't mean it to be rude. Her maw opened and she spoke in a low voice. ”I am Kalanxi, as you may know, and I’m described as a insane killer from my victims.” She jumped up the two branches and sat next to Alvern, her tail around her paws.
