Rayen;
She believed him when he said he loved her. She knew that he would never leave or for a past romantic interest... but still, this was uncharted territory. Suddenly she felt sick to her stomach, imagining that somebody else had loved him first. Had known him first. Rayen's ears flicked and she held her breath to stay in control. This wasn't an easy thing to hear...
And when he spoke of the pups, it was to his credit that he said he couldn't ignore the blood connection. That was her Leo. He would never ignore his family, his kin. But at the same time it hurt her heart for her own daughters. So young, so innocent, with so much hope at a bright future ahead—but what if they had half-siblings out there somewhere? Dark, evil things, resentful of the pups who had gotten a real relationship with their father?
"Oh Leo..." Rayen said, her voice muffled slightly by the misery building in her throat.
But then he brought up the Pool of Time, reminding Rayen that she had hinted at it first. She swallowed, trying not to picture Leo with another female, with another group of little pups nipping at his heels. She was a good female. A good mate, a good mother... but the idea of all of that going on, and the possibility of it still being relevant in their lives was enough to make her feel quite sick. Did she want to gaze into the Pool?
Yes... as frightening as it was, yes.
"I fear what the Pool may uncover," A slight whine built in the back of her throat, but she forced it away with some difficulty. But for you, for me, and for our daughters... I think we must. Do you know the way?"
((Should we make a new thread there, or just continue this as if they're there?))
