Hungry in the Heat (Closed to everyone)

Misty sniffed the air for an scent of prey.The grassy tendrils yielded no sign of prey as Misty had hoped. She pushed her way into the other grasses, picking up a faint hint of prey. She was lucky it was summer. She wanted to get a power, and was traveling with her new friend Aoka. She'd left Aoka for a bit. She was hungry, and none of the areas near their current den were prey-rich, so she'd decided to come here for something to eat. Aoka wasn't hungry, she'd made that plain. So Aoka was getting the den ready while she hunted. Misty knew that as soon as Aoka was in the slightest hint of trouble she'd aid her friend, but as she got a more powerful whiff of prey, Misty focused on the hunt.

In the tall grass, Misty found ever-stronger scent, but still couldn't work out what sort of prey it was. She mumbled something under her breath that would've made Lily give her a sharp cuff around the ears had she been there, and carried on trying to track the scent to get something to ease her aching belly, which had only had half a pike that morning. She was getting closer to the warm aromas now. She could smell it.

She searched for a while, before finally coming to some prey bones. Misty's ears drooped. She'd have to go back to Aoka empty-pawed.
