Sigyn watched Nyx take to her plan. And she did seem most interested in the pup, and she soon found the reason why. They had met beforeâ¦. Perhaps the pup had tried to put distance between them after an encounter, but in the wrong direction? Obviously, since they were crossing paths once more. Sigyn looked at the pup in consideration, both of what was going on, and also the plausible future if she had ever any pups of her own. She had never thought so much about it since her mourning over her past litter that had been murdered. That⦠That brought rage. Often she forgot where the bitterness had come from, once seeded it didnât take much to grow into a garden of deep-rooted weeds. The infestation was unstoppable, but she still wanted her own pups, if not only to spread those weeds further.
Nyx threatened Yami, and Yami⦠the pup reacted! It brought slight surprise to her features for a moment, tensing as she watched the pup freeze, as it was as surprised at its own actions. Nyx didnât have the same problem and acted in swift reaction by grabbing the ungrateful pup and shook it hard to one side and then to the other â releasing it in her direction. The pup had been indeed ungrateful, but at the same time she admired its gall, but not at its stupidity. If the thing had been smart, she would of hit and backed up, or done something other than just stand there.
The filthy thing toppled toward her, right into her. Sigyn flinched away, looking down as it feebly bore its teeth up at her.
âSoâ¦â She whispered as she stared down at it, her face showing dissatisfaction in her scowl. ââ¦it thinks it has some fight in it.â Her throat rumbled and she bore her teeth back. The thing was homely and quite pathetic⦠Which would make it easy to either kill it or take it, with no notice to the world. It was perhaps sad how things were forgotten and discarded, but that was why there were wolves like Sigyn, Nyx, and Fenrir to finish them off, or flip to the darkest of sides.
âLesson One.â Her voice cooled down, as she easily found the pebbles and sticks she had playing with before. While she still could not lift them far off the ground, it was just enough to move along the ground soundlessly. Summoned, the debris swirled around the two of them, and a few groups formed in snake like patterns slithered noiselessly around the other wolves, almost as an afterthought. âRecognize your superiors.â She said it with a sliver of exasperation, angry that the pup should be so close to her in the first place. She had wanted Nyx to deal with the thing, kill it or keep it - just not near her.
Her red and white muzzle dipped quickly and sharply placed at the welpâs ribs and shoved roughly upward. Rolling and sliding the pup back to Nyx. As she did so, the pebbles and sticks gave way, creating a pathway directly to Nyx.
——————————————
Fenrir had transferred himself away from reality, which was not unusual, since he usually acted contrary to what a normal mannered wolf would. Any soft feeling he may have had for the pup had faded, only a contained rage roiling beneath the surface. He shifted from his statue position and turned into liquid movement. His audits quirked toward Nyx as she spoke, tucking in the information later to think about⦠At the moment he was finding any possibility of moving this teaching lesson into a blood bath. His hopes rose as a quick exchange happened between pup and Nyx.
As Nyx picked the pup up and swung her â he was disappointed it was not nearly in his direction. He lunged anyways, snapping at the air close to the pup, a snap echoing over the lake to their side. He backed up, watching at the small creature got tossed to Sigynâs paws. His paws took him far enough from Nyx again, his attention now on the pup, waiting to see what the verdict would be. Would they care if he made an executive decision and killed the thing? Did he care what they thought? His eyes slid over Nyxâs thin but compact frame, wondering if he cared what she thought. Most of his life he had waited to hear his sisterâs thoughts before acting, and he had no reason to think other than she did â as their goals were similar and she was often more level headed. Nyx⦠She released him from that, he became even less balanced, but did he care what she thought, like he did his sisterâs?
His eyes slid away from Nyx and to his sister who was threatening the pup. He was breathing with his mouth shut, puffing in long intervals out of his nose. The clouds above him were not raining, his endurance had run dry a while ago, and he could feel it building slowly back into him⦠The chill from the earlier fallen rain and autumn wind made his breathing and everyone elsesâ slightly visible. He shifted again, in a stance ready to shift at any moment.

Mayhem and Hailstorme didn't resist the smirks and menacing chuckles that decided to arrive when Yami was thrown from her old spot by the older female. Mayhem kept his pose while Hailstorme got into a more straighter and slightly more elegant stance. The small, weak pup went smack dab into Sigyn's legs, and it actually tried to bare it's teeth. Sigyn had backed up slightly and looked down at it, and then she pushed it away with her muzzle. Hailstorme let her smirk grow wider, And she stepped closer, actually careful not to get anyone more angrier if they already were. Mayhem followed and changed his stance, shifting into a more elegant stance as well. "This pup does have some fight in it. Or maybe it's just really idiotic." He said, glaring at the pup with cold eyes.

Nyx, Yami;
The bigger wolves looked down at Yami, and the red and white female that she had growled at whispered to her. Her teeth were to close to Yami's face, and she skittered down into the dirt, along Sigyn's legs. Before she had hit Sigyn, the bigger male snapped his teeth at her, so she was nervous about that too, but it was terribly hard to keep her eyes on all of them at once. Oh why, why had she approached Nyx in the first place? She hadn't meant anything by it... but she had been all alone, and hungry too, and the female had looked so much like her she thought she might be a friend. Yami had never known what it was like to have a family or a friend, and she had thought that since the two of them were almost reflections of each other that they would get along. She was a tough pup, exhibited when she had travelled alone all the way from her homeland, so she hadn't been afraid to approach the stranger. How wrong she had been. Yami thought she had known fear before. Her pack dabbled in dark things, including the spirit world and those deceased... but she had been wrong. Nyx was next level. Something about her that had at first seemed so familiar, now seemed deeply, deeply empty. Even her smell was off. When Yami inhaled the scent of other wolves, it was often hinted with dirt, warmth, blood, meat, and so on. But Nyx? She of course had all those smells too, but there was something different. Almost as if there was something missing. That in itself had been enough to make Yami want to turn around and run, but by then the shadow demon had seen her. What had happened next was too dark to recall, literally and figuratively, and it made her stomach go cold to think that it may all happen again.
They kept calling her "it", too, and because she was already so frightened and defensive, she snarled one last time, this time looking at Mayhem and Hailstorme. They were both more relaxed instead of aggressive, at least in their standing positions, so she wasn't as frightened of them at the moment. Her words were for everybody, but she directed them at the pair. "My name is Yami." But clsoe by, Sigyn largely ignored what she said, and simply told her to recognize and respect her superiors. Yami's ears flattened and she whimpered, fighting it and losing grandly as Sigyn shoved her back to the middle, ever closer to Nyx. As if to make matters worse, the clouds were picking up again as well, though Yami didn't know why, and the first few tell-tale drops were starting to fall. — Nyx watched Sigyn threaten the whelp, and a grin spread to her lips. She glanced at Fenrir as he snapped at the pup on the way by, catching him with her fire-like eyes and holding him there. While Sigyn whispered to the pup and Mayhem and Hailstorme added to the conversation on the side, Nyx watched him. Silently, she was daring him to make a move toward the pup. Her usually-dead eyes were burning, holding him tight, waiting until the fire within her sparked up as well. Would he do it? He was so close, she could sense the tension in the air. Her thin tail shivered behind her, and she dipped her head lower to the ground, keeping Fenrir in her now-upturned gaze. It made for a dark picture, but it wasn't all that odd for Nyx. Shifting points of focus was as easy as breathing for her, and even though she could hear Yami whimpering and Sigyn snarling beside her, in that moment she only had eyes for Fenrir. But then Yami spoke, and Nyx's head turned so fast that her neck and shoulders cracked—and she stopped so suddenly that it was almost like she hadn't moved at all. She moved with such pinpoint accuracy, stopping the moment Yami was in her gaze, it was as if she had been watching the pup the whole time, instead of Fenrir.
Sigyn shoved the pup back to the centre, and Nyx grinned again, a terrible and disjointed thing. Yami landed on her back and looked fearfully to the orange and black female. Nyx leapt forward casually, then slammed a paw down over Yami's neck and held her fast. Yami yelped, but even as she did so, her world went black. Nyx's tattoo had started to burn (the shadow on her back having ceased to roll), and one of those interesting shadow domes had descended over Yami when he paw had struck her; however, this one wasn't large or tall, as her others had been. This one was shorter than her shoulder, and only as wide as the pup. Yami was bathed in darkess, but only Yami. As Nyx held her, only half her leg was in the shadow. She spoke threateningly over the pup, dipping her head into the blackness and snapping her teeth once or twice.
"Perhaps you didn't hear what Sigyn said. She said to recognize your superiors." She withdrew her head once more, knowing that Yami could still hear her in the shadow. "Now I don't know about you four, but I don't think speaking with such emotion towards one's betters shows a firm understanding of that concept...? And while she's just laying around, I think that lesson we spoke of may be in order." Her eyes flicked once more to the biggest brute in the bunch. "Fenrir?"

âAnd a name means nothing until you make something of it.â It was better if she acted apathetic, it was better if she was noncommittal and uninterested in this situation. Her tone was colorless, but her lip rose, threatening the pup to defy her again, sitting so she was facing the other siblings, instead of Nyx and the pup. Her blood was boiling, she felt hot despite the light rain, and her anger and feud seem to relight with the memories that the pup was bringing to the surface. While Fenrir was hard to read, she guessed he had felt the same when he had shoved the pup away from him. Her neck arched to look over at the happenings and noticed the controlled dome and what she guessed was Yami within. She blinked, smirking in agreement of Nyxâs words, but at the same time unwilling to be volunteered to teach the lesson. Her chest tightened though when Nyx said Fenrirâs name.
Fenrir was⦠violent, and the pup was⦠small. She knew Fenrir had some control when the play-fought, but⦠she had also watched him kill and rage, and now as she glanced into his deceivingly jewel like gaze, did she see a controlled hunger, or some other monster unleashed? Her mind flashed back to the night of the battle where her pups had died, the true Fenrir had been unleashed then, and only a few other times had she seen that side of him, only in moments or glimpses. Recently, especially with Nyx, that particular Fenrir of the past seemed to boil more easily to the surface.
—————————————-
Fenrir had been looking at the pup and his sister when he felt Nyxâs stare like a storm releasing thunder before the strike of lightning. His jaw tightened and without moving his head much, looked down (he usually was looking down on others because of his size) on Nyxâs orange and black face. There was no trace of kindness, love, care, or any feeling in her empty face. His head tilted a little to look down, searching her glare for something, and the grimace seemed to hold a challenge of some kind. Her stare had been in reaction to his snap at the pup, so maybe she had expected more, wanted more than an empty promise.
Nyx then shifted her head down, and had it been anyone else, would have made for a submissive stance. Fenrir was no fool though, and her penetrating stare had not left him as she dipped her cranium. Being lower though, caused other emotions to start to rise and his desire for her grew. At this angle he would just have to dip his own head, move his paws a step or two â and that would be all it would take. He hardly had to think about it. The pup had almost left his thoughts when her stare shifted once moreâ¦to the pup.
With Nyx turned away from him, he let his lips rise in a sudden flash of anger. His face relaxed quickly though and he watched her intently as she took the pup and put it under one of her shadow domes. Darkness. Was he scared of the dark? No. He wasnât afraid of anything, while it was an abandon to certain safeties, he had found fear only prevented him from accomplishing his desires. He tilted his head slightly as he listened to her words, and he felt the direction of them even before she said his name. Which he decided he liked when she said it.
Eyes glanced momentarily at where the pup lie and he moved smoothly forward, like a giant cat, but head held high. His ears flicked and he glanced down where the pup wasâ¦
He wanted to kill it. In Fenrirâs experience, a lesson usually did not end up killing the teachee, not unless they were stupid. Nyx was giving him permission to touch the pup, something he had not been able to do much with her yet and something he decided he would change in the near future. What could he do to a pup that wouldnât kill it? He remembered itâs small figure in his mouth from earlier, how easy it would have been for him to crush it in his jowls. How many bruises? Broken bones? His attacks were controlled, but usually always to kill. Did she trust him not to kill the pup? Or was she hoping he would?
Enough thought. Action.
There was just the slightest warning before the statue still male went into a sudden pounce. It was a lifting of his lip in a snarl and a deep growl in his chest, before he went into a head first dip into darkness. It was the first time he had witnessed the dark dome and it was the strangest sensation. Usually with the lack of light came a fall in temperature, but because of Yami, her breath, him, and his own breath â it seemed warmer. While his paws came after his maw, his paws found the pup first, coming down with a controlled heavy thump â one paw on the pupâs back hip and the other clawing into mud next to and grazing the pupâs head. Using his grip on the pupâs back leg he easily found the pupâs shoulder, but found that his maw encompassed the pup too much. He tasted blood as he squeezed the pup in his maw, his whole body tensing. All the while in darkness⦠It would be so easy to finish the little heart beatâ¦
He shook his head, only as hard as he dared to without killing it â not yet. Not yet. Then brought his head up out of the dome and dropped the pup roughly. A rage filled him and he let out a snarl that erupted into a roar in Yamiâs face. His whole body trembled and he released his tension and energy into his ability, the mark on his back leg burning bright as the rain fell freely from the heavens. The rain fell everywhere, but shot away from his body when it reached him â avoiding him as if he were a devil risen from the mud. No, he didnât want to be cleansed.
—————————————-
Sigyn didnât watch Fenrir, she watched Nyx and for her reactions, that would be enough for her. When the scene finished with Fenrirâs roar she stood and faced Nyx, Fenrir, and Yami â head high through the sudden rain.
âThat should do it.â Sigyn huffed, eyes hard and emotionless glancing at Fenrirâs tense body, but looking at Nyx.
âI think weâre all a little interested in how similar it looks like you, Nyx. And this being your second encounter?â She paused for only a moment, wondering why she had not killed Yami before. The pup had been frightened, so it had not been a fruitless encounter, but still⦠âIt would make the perfect pet, donât you think? It would be like an extension of your shadows, an apprentice and servant to do your bidding. While killing it would provide some momentaryâ¦. Entertainment. I think Goddess Geist would look well on spreading your shadows than eliminating certain possibilities.â Another pause, her eyes went down to Yami (and the dome if it was still there). âAnd if it doesnât work out, you can always kill it.â She emphasized the last word, pale green eyes challenging the pup and reminding Yami of her earlier statement.

Mayhem and Hailstorme watched on as Fenrir lunged at the pup in the shadow dome, their eyes lighting up with a demented light. Rain began to pour down, but the siblings payed no mind to it as they walked closer. The pup-no, Yami, as she said, was then roared at before being picked up and dropped roughly. Sigyn had spoken about Yami being the perfect pet, as well as the fact the two wolves, Nyx and Yami, looked similar. Mayhem and Hailstorme exchanged looks, before looking back at the wolves. Hailstorme shook her fur in boredom, never caring about the spray that hit Mayhem, soaking him even more.

((Oh my goodness, I can't believe it took me so long to reply! That's so unlike me! Sorry, sorry!!))
Nyx, Yami;
Yami shrank back as Sigyn spoke to her; or rather, spoke at her. There was no reciprocal conversation going on. Yami didn't know what she was doing or how to escape, and fear had just about blocked proper mental functioning by now anyway. Sigyn's words were mean, and it was clear that she was angry—but a momentary flash in her eyes suddenly made Yami unsure whether Sigyn was angry at her... or at something else. But then the big female's lip rose threateningly, and Yami told herself that she must have imagined it. She looked to Hailstorme in sudden fear, knowing that begging Sigyn for mercy was futile. Perhaps the other female would help her? But then the pup's gaze flinched to the ground as Fenrir shifted beside her.
Nyx had felt the brute's flash of anger when she had looked away from him. By the time she had glanced back he was stone-faced again; however, when she looked at him from a lower angle, the change in the air around him was almost palpable. Ah, males. They were all the same, weren't they? She glanced at Mayhem, wondering for one beat of her cold heart if it would be the same with him. Her tongue snaked through her teeth as if to taste the air before slipping back into her maw. But then suddenly none of that mattered, for Fenrir had lunged at Yami.
Yami's yelp was high and hopeless. It was nothing compared to the growls that were emitting from Fenrir's angry throat. She tried to run, but she was already so disoriented by fear and darkness that she barely even moved before the male's teeth had encompassed her. What happened next neither Yami nor Nyx could have said. For Yami it was all pain. For Nyx most of the action was blocked by darkness, but also Fenrir had suddenly become a lot more interesting than what he was doing to the whelp. There it was. The inferno raging inside of her at the sight of him hurting another. Her growl was quiet, almost nonexistent, but her ears flicked forward and for once, her dark eyes had light behind them.
When Sigyn spoke and Fenrir stopped, Nyx's head swivelled on her shoulders until Sigyn was in her gaze. The other siblings were behind Sigyn, and though they were wet, they seemed to have no complaints. When Sigyn mentioned that Yami looked like her, a lip lifted in distaste. She had noticed that first of all, of course, but it was irking that Sigyn should bring it up now at that moment. First she stopped Fenrir (or at least distracted him, for could anybody stop him?), and now she was trying to tell Nyx to keep Yami as a pet rather than kill her? What was this pup to Sigyn? Nyx was about to comment thusly, when Sigyn's words actually sunk in. The orange and black female paused—a rare thing. Perhaps Sigyn had a point, whatever her reasons for saying so may be. When Nyx's dead eyes dragged slowly back across the ground, she let the little shadowdome die, and was once again face to face with the irritatingly similar pup.
Yami's sides heaved, and each exhale brought forth a little yelping wheeze from within her. She was far too little to be on the receiving end of Fenrir—whatever it may be. Even blinking hurt, so she just closed her eyes and stopped trying. But then, after a few snippets of conversation, she heard Sigyn suggest that Nyx keep her. Yami's stomach dropped and she gasped, just in time for the shadows to die and be met eye to eye with Nyx once more. It took all of her strength, but Yami shook her head. "No," She croaked, rolling herself onto her stomach with some effort, to better face the group. "Kill me instead. Right? Wouldn't that be better?" She looked to Fenrir in a panic. "You want to. You could, too. You were so close. What, you're going to stop just because she said so?" She flicked her gaze to Mayhem and Hailstorme now, instead. "Kill me or take me. Would either of you take me? I could be helpful. I'm strong, and I'm smart. I wouldn't disappoint you. Please!"
And through it all, Nyx's smile steadily grew.

Fenrir’s maw had opened, having made a decision unconsciously that he wanted to feel the body of the pup go limp in his jaws. But the moment he was about the move, Sigyn’s voice sliced through his red vision. Mouth still ajar he looked at her in bewilderment, and it took a moment through his rage to remember that he had an audience and that he had been given permission to teach the thing a lesson. Couldn’t the thing think about her mistakes in death? She could go on as a ghost thinking about what she could have done better, and it seemed more and more unjust as he watched Sigyn taunt Nyx with her words. In that moment he hated Sigyn, but this feeling was a normal one, it was their shared hate and purpose that bonded them as siblings. Fenrir’s pale purple gaze kept steady on his sister, his whole body trembling with a power that he wanted to release. Perhaps he would take it out on his sister after their little interaction with the others was done. Or on Nyx if she could get her alone… but if the pup was going to stay with her…? A new fog entered his mind, confusion, and all of a sudden the pup was speaking.
It took him a moment to process what the pup was saying, no, begging. He had never been asked by his victims to kill them, but it gave him all the more reason to kill. Now Fenrir was looking down at the pup, the same fog in his mind, baffled at how desperate the pup had become. He glanced curiously at Nyx, wondering what she had done to scare the pup half to death…no – to death, Nyx had literally scared the pup to desire death over enslavement to Nyx. The pup’s last words directed at him caused a new wave of angry heat to tremble through his body. His eyes darted angrily up at his sister and closed his teeth momentarily. Then his gaze was on the pup once more, watching her in her desperation as turned to the other siblings for mercy. Mercy from Nyx.
—————————————————-
Sigyn felt Fenrir’s wrath before she saw it, and her insides trembled when her pale green gaze met his own sickeningly pale gaze. Her lip lifted for a moment and brushed him off, turning to Nyx. There was a part of her that feared her brother, not that he would ever kill her, or ever turn on her – he was too malleable for that. Which was why she did not like how he was taking to Nyx, because it seemed more progressive with each meeting, as if she were losing her own control on the beast. She had learned long ago, that if you appealed to his bloodthirsty needs, he followed and did as bidded. Now, she could still feel his hot gaze boring into her, and it seemed more rebellious than she was used to.
Sigyn faced Nyx’s hot glare, her heart thrumming a beat quicker as her thoughts went from her brother to Nyx and the pup. She saw that the female was reading into her taunts and she kept tall and ready to face the she-wolf accordingly. Sigyn kept a small smile on her maw, watching with inward relief, as Nyx seemed to actually consider what she was saying. Relief, that she did not need to face her past anymore, to see a dead pup and think of her own bloody past. Now she could watch the scene play on – or so she thought. She tried not to gawk as the pup became a fit of nerves and started begging for death and even enslavement by the other siblings.
Her gaze moved to Nyx once more, a new respect in her gaze, that whatever she had done that haunted the pup to the point of begging for death or anything other than being with Nyx. What had the she wolf done to the pup? She ignored the glare the Fenrir shot in her direction again, but his anger shifted away from her quickly.
“Silence! You sound pathetic.” Sigyn scoffed, a smile in her tone and still on her maw.

Mayhem stiffened as the pup begged for him and Hailstorme to either kill or enslave her. He took some deep breaths before stepping closer to the pup, his eyes glaring daggers at her. Hailstorme also walked up, head level to Yami's eyes, as if waiting to lunge. "I do not believe us two should make that decision, right, sister?" Mayhem sneered, looking to Hailstorme who nodded. His gaze fell upon Nyx, and his tail swayed behind him. "You should decide, since you have more experience with this pathetic pup." He spoke, using one paw to point first to Nyx, then to Yami. In all of this, Hailstorme continued to watch Yami with eyes like stone and body like a statue.

((On my phone, please forgive any mistakes!))
Nyx, Yami;
Nyx saw Fenrir's distaste when Sigyn distracted him from his mission with Yami. The fire in his eyes, the irritation displayed on his lips. Nyx's own ember-like eyes ignited and sparked, interested by the new change between the siblings. Sigyn reacted differently however, and when Nyx turned her lamp-like eyes on the other female, she noticed. Fenrir's sister was Not angry, exactly, nor was she uncomfortable—but there was distaste on her face, as well. But what could it be about?
It was only a heartbeat before Nyx followed Sigyn's gaze to her brother, and a sharp-toothed smile alighted to her lips. Whatever was happening between herself and Fenrir, Sigyn noticed and Sigyn didn't like it. This made Fenrir even more interesting to the orange and black female, even when he wasn't playing to her instinctual side. She clicked her teeth lightly in thought, but was interrupted by Yami who continied to yammer away.
Sigyn chastised her, then Mayhrm and Hailstorme did as well. She had no hope, and both females knew it. She looked back and forth between their audience and slowly lost more confidence with each passing moment. She refused to look at Nyx's eyes. Her fear was heightened when the other siblings suggested Nyx be the one to decide her fate. That was the last thing Yami wanted. She about to say as much yet again, when Nyx's gaze shifted entirely.
In that moment, she was done with the pup. Sigyn would make sure she did not leave, as would Mayhem and Hailstorme. Her mind, energy, and a sick sense of curiosity, were all focused on Fenrir. The intensity with which she stared at the brute was like a tidal wave—or a wild fire. Her tail flicked, and she stood in a fluid motion, her shoulders teasing through her skin as if she was starved. She faced Fenrir head on, without shame, ignoring everyone else around them. He had energy and anger and power within him, she could sense it and she could feel it. She wanted it, and she knew he would give it.
Without a word, she turned and began stalking into the trees. Fenrir's shadow leapt after her, beckoning the male forward and dashing off. Nyx did not look back. Either he would follow or he wouldn't—she would come back to the group if he didn't. But if he did, and she knew he would, she would not return until she was done.
-Exit Nyx-
Yami watched them go, and suddenly her spirits rose. Nyx leaving was like the clouds parting on a summer day. Like the sun breaking through the dawn. Though hurt, the pup lifted herself up on her paws, ears flicking as the shadow master slunk away. Yami didn't know why she was leaving or when she would be back—but this was her moment. To be killed or to escape. She looked once more to Sigyn. This female had not been kind to her, but Yami would try anything. "Help me."

Sigyn was watching the pup squirm and seek desperately for a way out, and she was enjoying watching it suffer. The pain, the suspense, and the mental torture; all would be for its better. That was satisfying to her, and she realized that she was finding a peace that it would not die, but perhaps grow its own dark shadow under Nyx. Her own pride told herself she could do better, but she could wait till one day she was blessed with her own litter. A day that she did not dwell on much, because it there was no use in being hopeful, only practical.
Then Nyx was standing, and she noticed a sudden shift. She had missed something, apparently, because the femme was facing Fenrir bluntly and obviously communicating something unsaid. Her own heart picked up the pace a little, confused by the sudden change in the focus of their conversation. Nyx was finding her brother more interesting than the pup. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and tried not show the sudden gripping feeling in her stomach that dropped like a rock when Nyx started walking away. Sigyn was not easily surprised, but in that moment she had tried to ignore and had tried to deny the twisted connection that the two had made, and now it was turning on her. This feeling was the result of her denying her instincts. Her pale green eyes darted to her brother, her slightly narrowed gaze watching him with inner angst. No. She wanted to command it, to stop him, but she remembered the look on his face when she had stopped him from killing the cub, and kept silent.
Fenrir did something then that might has well broken what heart she had left. He looked over at her, and there was not a smile, but a smirk. She had seen this before, she had watched him satisfy the other hunger in him, but it had never been with someone like Nyx. They had always been victims of his anger...Nyx was not, she was higher...or lower class. Their own class, Fenrir's class. Her jaw tightened, but she kept a still and emotionless gaze when Fenrir looked over at her, and watched him stalk off.
Once they were out of view, she blinked, still in slight shock. A voice whispered from below her, and she looked down with the same blank stare, having forgotten that the pup had been there. She stared at it for a moment, memories of the past minutes slowly returning to her befuddled mind.
No one ever helped me. There is no help for you. Nor hope. She scowled with a growl, but it was not so uncaring as it had been before, just sour and disdainful. Sigyn knew as soon as she had said it, that it wasn't true. Fenrir had helped her that night the attack had come, and her pups had died. But their relationship had been a selfish one, each gaining from the other. She glanced at the other siblings, then back at the pup, considering the small thing. Nyx was not here. Sigyn wasn't going to let the pup go, but... She toyed with a thought that came to her. The thought and idea was purely based on how much Nyx valued the pup, which she realized that Nyx did not â so taking the pup for herself would satisfy no revenge. Revenge for her own feelings that had betrayed her. Still...
The pebbles around her feet started to move and create sickly shapes around Yami on the ground and she went a little more into her thoughts.
————————————————-
Nyx was suddenly in front of him.
The beast with pent up energy, anger, and frustration let out a roar within his stomach. His whole frame tensed as he faced her, looking slightly down on the bold female. There was a moment went everyone else faded away again, and he wanted to come down on her â to strike out, and to claim her right then and there. Then she was gone, and the familiar frustration of her being just out of reach gripped at his stomach. His lip lifted, but then fell and watched curiously as she stalked away from the group, and also his own shadow.
His pale eyes glinted in a sudden flurry of anticipation and glanced at the movement of his sister, who he felt watching him. While Fenrir was never truly aware of how much control others had in his life, he did know that his sister called the shots a lot more often than he enjoyed. Now, now it was his time, and she couldnât stop him. She seemed to grasp this, and he saw it in her stare. A growl of pleasure rumbled noiselessly in his throat as he smirked at his sister and quickly and easily switched his attention back on Nyx who was disappearing in the shadows.
The rain stopped for the most part where the group had gathered, but clouds followed the male as he dashed after his prize eagerly.
-exit fenrir- ooc// okay... i didn't notice the weird things that proboards did to my post, sorry about that

Hailstorme actually broke her gaze from Yami to look at Nyx, who had swiftly disappeared in shadows before the large brute followed her. After those two had left, the rain begun to let up. Mayhem shrugged but let his gaze fall to the red female for a few seconds before falling onto Yami and the pebbles that had started moving around the pathetic thing. His gaze stayed on the small pup until snarling broke his thoughts.
Hailstorme was with a twisted, snarling grin and she readied herself to spring out like a coiled snake. But she stayed where she was, gathering potential energy for when the time was right. She still took into consideration the red female. Aside from her brother, Hailstorme followed females, but with far more independence. This was rare for Hailstorme, waiting for someone other than her brother to allow her to strike. She had let her gaze fall to Yami again, and her grin widened as her claws dug into the earth.

((I'm not sure what is up with the posts right now, but whenever a hyphen is typed, it does some really weird symbols. I can't edit it out, so just do your best Dx Sorry ya'll))
Yami;
This was not going Yami's way, and she had an awful feeling in her gut that if things stayed on the same track, by the time the sun went down she would be locked into Nyx's care (or lack thereof). The little orange and black pup, so similar in colour to the female, couldn't even imagine what it would be like—starting and ending her days with Nyx, and filling them in between. Even the idea of it brought a shiver to her mind. Someone like Fenrir, well, she could handle that. What was a little physical pain and fear of death? Difficult—no walk among the roses, that was for sure—but largely survivable. But Nyx? Something about that female made Yami's blood run cold, and she didn't know why. Perhaps it was just because they looked the same, but Yami had felt a connection to Nyx when she had first laid eyes on her. Of course, any assumptions or hopes that Yami had about her had quickly been lost in the shadows. She knew better now. Maybe that was worse, maybe it was better. But in any case, Yami knew it was all up to her.
For the moment, Nyx was gone, and had even taken the brute with her. If it was not for Hailstorme growling and snarling nearby, Yami might have made a run for it; then again, with her current injuries, she doubted she woudl get very far. But she had to do something, didn't she? She couldn't just bend to Nyx's will. Her thoughts halted, though, when the pebbles around her feet started moving as if made of water. She yipped in surprise, lifting a paw but other than that not able to do much. Her eyes narrowed and she watched the patterns form and unform. She felt Sigyn's eyes on her—was it her doing? If Nyx could control shadows, and Sigyn could control pebbles... who knows what other sorts of things the wolves in this valley could do? Yami's head was suddenly filled with images of herself, bending fire and water, attacking Nyx. Smothering her. Drowning her. That was something that Yami wanted. Her tail had started to flick behind her without her knowledge. Maybe if she was forced to stay with Nyx... But no, that couldn't happen. Unless...
"Was that your brother?" Yami asked Sigyn, almost forgetting to be afraid as her thoughts turned to power rather than despair. "Where did he and Nyx go? Are they coming back?" Her eyes were wide and she fully propped herself up among the shifting rocks. The other female on her other side had her a little bit worried, what with the growling and all, but the fear of being attacked had dulled someâespecially after begging for death. "Are you two siblings, too?" Yami's head turned to the other pair.
Asking the evil wolves to kill her obviously hadn't worked. They had gotten angry, and the male had been so closeâÂÂbut nobody had finished her off. Sigyn, though quite obviously irritated in the moment, was not mad enough to truly do anything... The other female, maybe, though Yami doubted that. But perhaps another angle could work. Yami was not a stupid pup, and especially coming from a pack like the one she had, thinking on one's feet was often a very valuable skill. If she could keep all three of the adult wolves talking and answering questions about themselves... then maybe, just maybe, they would start to doubt their conviction that Yami need to go with Nyx.

Sigyn glanced at Hailstorme with an amused expression. “I should let you know… that if you kill that pup, my brother may react…badly.” It was bad enough that Sigyn had interrupted the encounter, if the pleasure of killing the pup was also taken… She did not want to think about that.
She ignored the pup’s words that piped up, acting as if she had not spoken. Though, she thought with regret, her own words answered the pup’s one question indirectly. The other question was quite obvious; of course they would be back…. The question did stir a certain uncertainty and it made her hate the pup in the moment. Of course they would be back. Fenrir needed her. Nyx, though she did not show it as her primary concern, did have interest in the pup and would come back. This is what she told herself as she glanced irritably at Yami. There was a hope in the pup, as weak and battered, as she was, a hope of escaping the fate she had been elected.
“Oh, yes. Nyx will be back for you.” She said, knowing Nyx stirred a fear in her unlike she or the others were able to. Sigyn did not resent Nyx for stirring a fear in others more than she could. Her style was different, more manipulative. The longer the moments drew out – the longer Fenrir was gone and with Nyx, that… made her resentful. She never thought she was the jealous type, perhaps she had taken her brother’s loyalty for granted. Her paws shifted in the moist ground uncomfortably looking only for a moment where Fenrir and Nyx had slipped away.
Suddenly she stood up and glared down at Yami. She changed the lazy pattern of her little pebbles and gathering the ones she had lost track of when she got distracted. They rolled quicker now, rolling toward the pup and changing direction suddenly.
“What did Nyx do to you, anyways.” It was not a question, rather a demand, pale green eyes looking down in a hard glare at the pup. ooc// yeah, i realized it did that with my last post, sorry about that xD

Hailstorme mumbled something but backed away and nodded, Mayhem looking at her approvingly. Then he looked back to Yami, and narrowed his eyes. "Well, You aren't completely stupid, I suppose." He sneered, then looked at his sister, then to Sigyn. His gaze fell upon Yami once more, even though he was resisting the urge to tackle the pup in fear the red wolf's brother were to find out. He for sure did not need the trouble, and he was never built for strength.
"Oh, wait. We never fully explained ourselves, have we?" He semi-asked to no one in particular. Then he shrugged and let out a dark chuckle. "It doesn't matter. I'm more interested in that other dark female and your relationship with her. I take it that's Nyx?" He asked, both to Yami and Sigyn.
Hailstorme had staightened herself up and looked in the direction of where the two wolves went off to. Her eyes lingered there until her brother began speaking. She was fine until he said the word 'explain'. What was there to explain? She was Hailstorme, he was Mayhem, and they were siblings. That was all anyone needed to know. But she groaned silently and listened on as he asked a question that she wasn't paying attention to. Her eyes rested upon Yami's coat for a while, before she looked away to something elsewhere.

Yami;
Sigyn told the others not to kill her, unless they wanted to answer to her brother. She assumed the big male was her brother after all, then, though she hadn't exactly answered the question. Instead of answer, actually, Sigyn pressed Yami for details about what Nyx had done to her. The pup's ears flattened at the memory and she didn't answer right away.
The other siblings spoke up, asking more questions about Nyx. Yami suppressed a groan. She had been hoping they would steer the conversation away from her. Besides, why was everyone so interested in her? She made Yami's blood run cold, and she must have had a similar effect on others she encountered. Why couldn't they leave well enough alone?
"That's Nyx," Yami whispered, answering Mayhem. She glanced at Sigyn and suppressed a shudder. She supposed this was the only way to connect with them, so she would do her best. "What Nyx did to me..." She couldn't find words right away. "The darkness surrounds her like death surrounds the sick. She is the queen of the night. The ruler of my nightmares. Somehow, even before I knew her, I had dreamt about her. I did not remember at first, which is why I approached rather than run the other way... but given enough time, my half-remembered dreams came back to me. I had seen her face before, don't ask me how. Dreamt of her. Cursed her name. Every shadow became like my enemy. And when i met her in real life, it was worse... so much worse." she whimpered. "The darkness seemed unending. She covered me in it. Held me there. Her dead eyes bored into my soul. Even in the darkness, somehow, somehow, she twisted it into shapes that lurked in the very darkest corners of my mind. She spoke to me on the most carnal of levels, and held me there, on a horrific ledge between insanity and reason. That is where she dwells. That is where she rules. It felt like days, the time I spent with her. I don't know how long really. The pain, the fear, it all blended into one horrific blur." Her voice suddenly lost all inflection. "And every moment I am near her, the darkness creeps at the corner of my mind. Sometimes it blocks my vision, but maybe that is just the fear."
