The moon hangs high in the sky, looking down upon the sea of grass and flowers that cover the meadow. The little lunar flowers seem to glow with their own light, reflecting the moon's pale beauty. A gentle, cool breeze flows across the meadow, stirring the grass and causing the flowers to bob, as if nodding their heads sleepily. The stars twinkle merrily in a clear sky, not a cloud in sight. A peaceful blanket of silence covers the meadow, other than the sound of grass rubbing on grass and the occasional hoot of an owl. On nights like this, most creatures are asleep, basking in the peaceful silence. Wolves are not most creatures. Especially one wolf in particular.
Aerwyna lays amongst the flowers, her ears perked, listening to the small sounds of the night. Her eyes are closed, but she isn't close to sleep. A flower tickles her nose, moved by the breeze. It causes the dark teal she wolf to sneeze. She shakes her head and opens her eyes, somewhat annoyed. With a huff she gives up on listening. Instead, she directs her purple gaze to the small white flowers. She watches a few of them delicately wave in the breeze. It's amazing how something so small can be so intricate. From a distance one would never be able to see the many veins running through the petals and leaves, each is different, no pattern of veins on them are the same. She wonders what it would be like to be a flower. Easier maybe, she would not have to deal with memories or feelings, she could sway in the breeze without a care in the world. For a few fleeting seconds, she wishes she could be one. Then, logic takes over, she remembers how short the life of a flower is, how often they get crushed under-paw, how many she is currently laying on.
She sighs softly and looks up at the sky. The stars greet her, twinkling invitingly. She remembers a voice from her youth, her father maybe. 'No matter where you are, the stars will always be your friends. Even if you stray too far away, they will always guide you home Aerwyna.' She frowns, where is home anymore? She's alone now, her family long gone. Maybe they are amongst the stars? She shakes her head at that absurd idea and lays it back down onto her paws. She feels so fickle, so backwards. She hates socializing, yet, on nights like this one, she can't help but want someone to talk to, a pack, a family.

((Took your advice, thank you! And, sorry for a short post. Got a headache. I'm going to try for 250 word limit.))
.:Kalanxi:.
She stood in a meadow, a meadow filled with flowers with their own little moons. She starred in disgust at the flowers, her mint gaze flicked around angrily until it finally met the moon. The ocean of grasses and flowers lapped at her paws. Suddenly, she twirled and she saw a drowsy teal wolf, deep into thought. She howled loudly, disturbing the peaceful silence.
"What do we have here?" Kalanxi cheerfully howled again, thinking if the wolf can't hear her, she'll do it again. "A sorry excuse for a wolf? Ha! You will be fun to kill..."
She leaned over the wolf, her mint green gaze flicked back and forth. Laughter filled her eyes as she waited for a reply, hoping she scared the poor wolf.

((It's okay)) Aerwyna starts, brought out of her thoughts by a howl. She scrambles to her feet and looks at the wolf that belongs to said howl. A she wolf, probably another loner like Aerwyna. The words she speaks cause Aerwyna to shiver inwardly, nervously. Another part of Aerwyna is rather indignant. She had been somewhat enjoying her evening and now this wolf barges in and starts to threaten her. To think that she was feeling sorry for herself and lonely! This is what she gets! She forces her features to remain loose and indifferent. She isn't an idiot, she knows that there are some wolves that attack like rabid animals if even slightly provoked.
"I'm not looking for a fight." Aerwyna says calmly, locking her purple gaze onto the other female's mint green. Her paws fidget and still in small intervals as she fights the nagging feeling in them to leave. She doesn't like fights, she's never liked them. It seems she has a knack for stumbling across evil wolves who want to start one. "I will leave if you wish to be alone." The breeze picks up, ruffling Aerwyna's fur and carrying the scent of the woods. This wolf is built for fighting, no doubt she will still be fast, but if it comes down to speed, Aerwyna knows she is faster. "Just say it, don't threaten me." Those were probably not the best choice of words in this situation, but nerves and annoyance are tearing at Aerwyna's thought process at the moment.

.:Kalanxi:.
She watched the other she-wolf shiver, and for a second, and only just a second, she saw nervousness in her purple gaze. And then anger and annoyance. What is there to be annoyed by? This wolf didn't seemed to be as strong as her, but she has speed. 'I'm not looking for a fight' The wolf spoke calmly, her purple gaze met Kalanxi's. "Ha! What kind of wolf doesn't want a fight? Do you even consider yourself a normal wolf?" Her fur fluffed as a breeze came. Other words came out of the other she wolf's mouth, but Kalanxi just smirked.
"No, no. None of that. It's been awhile since I met another... wolf." Kalanxi lifted a forepaw. How ignorant she was! This wolf doesn't want to socialize with Kalanxi. Who wouldn't want to speak with the very nice and very sweet Kalanxi? Another breeze swept through the meadow, and she snapped her teeth in sheer annoyance. This... thing is clearly not a wolf. Not savage. Not ruthless. What is it? "I just want... your name, of course! Mine is Kalanxi, pronounced Ka-lon-i. Get it wrong, I'll claw your ears." She started polite, but then her voice grew into a growl, a threatening growl. On the last words she stomped her foot, and she glared at the wolf. The light of the moon glared at Kalanxi, reminding the evil she wolf of why she left her old pack. Nothing for me there, She thought coldly and looked back at the wolf, an evil smirk on her face.

Arch was walking near the meadow when he overheard the sounds of two wolves. His permanent smile became a little bigger, and he stopped at the edge of the clearing, where neither wolf could see him. He just loved it when foolish wolves barreled into a situation, threw some threats around, then calmed down and tried to be friendly. Although the wolf that had made the threats didn't seem to be very good at playing nice. His tail swished and realizing he wanted to see how they would react he begin to walk closer to them.
He stopped directly behind the aggressive wolf and looked over her shoulder at the calmer wolf. He didn't know how they would react to his presence, but he wasn't very scared. He may not have been the best fighter or the fastest runner, but there were plenty of wolves that found his silence intimidating. Many of them were distracted when he didn't respond to their threats and were easily detained. The ones that weren't frightened were harder to deal with, but he could usually hold his own with them. He never went around and picked fights but some wolves, such as this Kalanxi, didn't take kindly to him eavesdropping. He couldn't help that. Well, I could stop eavesdropping on conversations but I don't want to.
(Hope ya'll don't mind that I joined in)

Aerwyna continues to eye Kalanxi wearily. She isn't sure what brought the sudden change in the female's mood, but she does not trust it. In a swift motion, she straightens up, still keeping her distance, but relaxing slightly.
"I'm Aerwyna. I guess you could be right. Many have said I'm part fox because of how small I am. Though both my parents were wolves." Her paws begin to fidget again, she forces them to still. She is trying to ease the uncomfortable air with rather awkward small talk; and calm her own annoyance, not wanting to get snappy at Kalanxi, knowing she just threatened her. Her gaze shifts to the flowers that sway among the grass. Maybe she wouldn't mind being a flower after all.
Her purple eyes snap back to Kalanxi. She half hopes the she-wolf has left, but, knows that isn't the case. Something catches her eye. Another wolf has materialized from the trees, a brown male with a stark white face. "Great." Aerwyna thinks with an air of sarcasm. "More wolves. Did she bring friends?" She looks at the newcomer, then back to Kalanxi. An owl hoots, flying overhead, causing Aerwyna to nearly jump out of her skin. Realizing how tense she has let herself become, she forces herself to relax again.
She perks her ears and tilts her head. "Who are you?" She calls out to the newcomer, looking him over again. To her, his face looks like a second moon, glowing much like the flowers are, contrasting greatly with the darker shades of brown and black that make up his coat. Maybe Kalanxi and this newcomer aren't friends. For a second, she selfishly thinks that he would be a good distraction that would lead to her escape from this situation. She shakes the thought away, that would be an awful thing to do. What a sorry excuse for a good wolf she would be if she followed through with it.

.:Kalanxi:.
She watched the female straighten up, her eyes narrowing. Kalanxi didn't know what this wolf was thinking, but she knew that she didn't trust the evil wolf, and she shouldn't. "I'm Aerwyna." The other wolf said and commented that she looked like a fox, but is in fact a wolf. 'Impossible!' She hissed in her mind, and Aerwyna's eyes snapped back to the thoughtful Kalanxi. Then she looked away again, to behind her. "Who are you?" Aerwyna asked the newcomer and Kalanxi's fur started to rise. "Why are you here?" She hissed, starring death into the other wolf's eyes.
Nothing would have scared any other wolf more. Kalanxi knew that. The eyes of the newcomer were light brown, and as the moon reflected into his eyes they turned translucent. Kalanxi felt her own mint green eyes blaze in anger. How long has he been here? How much did he hear? She felt the need to rip off his tail and carry it around as a trophy. "How long have you known he was there?" Kalanxi asked Aerwyna, twirling to face the female.
She clawed the ground, impatient for a response. Her eyes always on the newcomer.

His lips curled into what resembled a snarl but was actually a smile. He didn't answer either wolves question, but then again, how could he? With him wolves always seemed to be on the defensive, but he didn't think too much of it. After all, all he had to do was remember how Kalanxi had treated Aerwyna to feel better. Compared to the reaction she had gotten his was a warm hug. Well, not really. He would've loved to have been able to respond with a smart remark but he couldn't. He shook his head at them, opened his mouth then shut it again.
He didn't find it funny how the moon made him look like an overgrown lily, but he wasn't going to move away. He wasn't sure if the wolf in front of him was afraid, angry, or just impatient. A low grumble escaped his throat and he sat on the ground. His legs had begun to ache, and he reminded himself why it wouldn't be a good idea to waste too much energy on these two. He'd stay here for a little bit but then he'd leave and find a place that had an easily accessible source of water. There he would be able to stay until he had to go hunting again.

Aerwyna is heavily confused when the newcomer doesn't answer. She watches Kalanxi twirl around with a small twist of amusement that she manages to hide by lowering her head slightly. There is another lunar flower stretching up from the grass, almost touching her nose. She studies that instead of letting her amusement show. "How long have you known he was there?" Aerwyna lifts her head at Kalanxi's question. She looks to the new wolf, her ears perked, somewhat in interest, then back to Kalanxi.
"I literally just saw him." She shrugs and looks to the male wolf again. He seems to be smiling. She tilts her head and watches him shake his head, open his mouth, then close it again. Her eyes narrow, trying to figure out why the wolf has such peculiar mannerisms. When all he does is grumble as he sits, she frowns, beginning to put two and two together. Her gaze shifts to Kalanxi, then back to the male. After a few seconds she inches slightly closer to the two other wolves, curiosity winning over her initial fear. She still keeps her distance from Kalanxi though. "Are you unable to speak?" She asks the brown and white male, her voice soft. The itch to leave isn't as strong in her paws currently, though one act of aggression and she'd be back to wanting to go.

.:Kalanxi:.
Kalanxi watched as Aerwyna lower her head slightly, hiding the others amusement. She rose and starred, her mint eyes betraying her insanity. "It isn't funny. Especially when your throat is slit." Kalanxi growled. Aerwyna stated she just saw him. Then Kalanxi focused on the stupid smile on the other wolf. He had a look as if he wanted to speak... A low growl came from his throat, and he sat down, but that was it. No words. "Are you unable to speak?" Aerwyna asked, inching closer, but keeping her distance. 'Understandable.' She thought and laid down in front of the other wolf.
"Of course he can't speak, just like I'm insane and you're antisocial." Kalanxi grumbled and clawed the ground in thought. 'If he can't speak, then how can he tell us his name? Is he telepathic?' She then flashed her crazy eyes at Aerwyna, then at the other wolf. "Say something. Now, or else I will claw out your eyes and leave it as an offering to the White Wolves." She hissed through gritted teeth. She was the strongest here, surely his eyes could be added to the collection.
She sat up quickly and studied his eyes. She favored his eyes. This wolf's fur looks like dirt, unlike his light brown eyes. She smirked wickedly and slowly made her way over.

He didn't care about her threats. He had grown up a slave all his childhood and then had been taken in and taught how to fight by the best of his second pack. He knew he wasn't the best, but he was good enough. He looked to Aerwyna and nodded his head in confirmation to her question. He looked back at the other wolf and making sure he was holding her gaze he rolled his eyes at her. He wanted to make her see that nothing she said would give him pause. If she wanted to scare him she would have to act out her threats.
He stood from his place on the ground, and nose in the air, walked closer to Kalanxi showing once more that he wasn't afraid of her. He stopped in front of her for a second but didn't linger. He walked to where Aerwyna was and sat near her. He glanced at her silently asking if she was okay with him being near her. He didn't make respecting others wishes if they were polite to him. As it was, Kalanxi was trying to scare him and he didn't appreciate it. Of course, there's always the chance she plans to follow through but even then, I'm not too worried about her. He didn't want her to know his name so he wasn't going to go to any trouble to try and tell her it and so he just sat staring at her, daring her to come and rip his eyes out.

Aerwyna watches as the male wolf rolls his eyes, seeming to not have any care about Kalanxi's threats. She is rather amazed, seeing as the she-wolf does look rather insane and probably does give eyes as offerings to the White Wolves. She shivers, she'd honestly hate to be the White Wolf that has eyes plopped at her cave entrance. The male suddenly stands and gets closer to Kalanxi, his nose high in the air. Her tuns swiftly and makes his way over to Aerwyna and sits next to her. She leans away a little, somewhat uncomfortable with the closeness. He turns his gaze to her in a silent question that she is surprised to understand as, 'Is it okay for me to be near you.'
"It's okay." She hears herself say. It causes her to blink, she wasn't expecting to say that, yet it tumbled out of her mouth so quickly. She's stuck now, it'd be rude to go back on her word. She stares at him awkwardly, unsure of what else to say or if she should say anything until she realizes she's staring and snaps her gaze away. Her eyes are now back on Kalanxi, somewhat weary of what the she-wolf will do next. The male wolf had been extremely unamused by Kalanxi's false bravado, if it is false. She could pounce on him, try to take his eyes as she threatened. Aerwyna would have to help him out. She wouldn't just leave the poor wolf to fend for himself against the crazy she-wolf; but, she isn't a good fighter and she hates fighting. She definitely would not be the best of help.
On the other paw, maybe Kalanxi is just full of hot air. If she is, she would probably splutter and growl and throw a fit, but not attack. Aerwyna hopes this option is true. Plus it would be amusing to watch the scary, somewhat annoying wolf throw a tantrum about a wolf who is unable to speak.

((We"re gonna need a mod, if that's ok.)) .:Kalanxi:.
The insane wolf saw the the challenge in the other wolf's gaze, sitting next to Aerwyna. "He doesn't think I can follow. Hah, watch out.' She inched over, a smirk growing. All her sanity left when she killed her sister, Aalaya. She was angel, idyllic, perfect little wolf. That's why she led the intruders. Kalanxi noticed she was spacing out and snapped her head at Aerwyna, who gazed warily at her. "I suggest you back up, little wolf." She growled, taking a step towards the other wolf, a gleam of joy seemed to light up the wolf in front of her, until she looked back and saw the moon behind her, glaring. Slowly, her head turned back.
These two wolves thought she wouldn't follow, and Kalanxi knew it. She's met wolves like this, annoying, overconfident wolves that now don't walk the earth anymore. "You've left me plenty of choices, but I chose to do this." Kalanxi howl with glee before lunging onto him, trying to bite out his eyes while also trying to sink her claws into his neck.

((Alrighty, I will mod this fight! Bear in mind that I take both physical build and the way the responses are typed into consideration. There isn't too much to go on yet, with only one attempted attack happening, so this response will be shorter.)) .:Because Arch was just sitting and staring at Kalanxi, he barely gets out of the way in time; fortunately, he is quick and both of Kalanxi's attacks miss.:.

Arch hadn't wanted to move out of Kalanxi's aim but instinct had overtaken him at the last minute. At that moment he wasn't as intent on the fight as Kalanixi was, but he was paying attention to her movements. He considered his options knowing that he could counter attack, do nothing, or he could just defend himself from her attacks. He knew that if he waited for her next attack or assumed a defensive position she would try and drive him backwards, and he wasn't going to allow that. He couldn't really respond to her crazy mutterings about choices, but he couldn't. He hadn't said anything to her so how could he have given her any choices? She was also the one that threatened to sacrifice my eyes to the goddess.
He rolled his eyes at her again and bunched his muscles. He charged at he, not trying to bite but intent on throwing his shoulder into her side and hopefully distracting her. He lowered his head slightly so only one side of his neck was vulnerable to her teeth if she decided to bite into it. His thin frame moved quickly and quietly in the darker areas of the meadow and he hoped that it would give him the chance to surprise Kalanxi.
