Felan;
"Let's see how good you are with combat." Kai told her; after shaking out his pelt. Felan stood then the small wolf hadn't been new to fighting; being alone had it's perks. She was rather capable of defending herself, wolves underestimated her in combat. Though small the female was quick on her feet, so dodging attacks came easily enough and she was patient. Which proved to be useful when it came to countering attacks and waiting on them. Then sometimes the young wolf attracted trouble; her mouth would be the cause. "I'm sure a goddess wouldn't want to give a power to a weak wolf, a wolf must learn how to fight."
She snorted. Felan was a lot of things but weak wasn't one of them.
“Don't go easy on me,” She grinned; eyes glinting with a hint of hidden mischief. “not that I think you would.” The small female could honestly say she enjoyed sparing with other wolves; she didn't enjoy killing the occasional wolf but this was a different thing. Kai was standing now, facing her; though he was silently waiting. Did he want her to attack first? It made sense since he was assessing her skill. Felan eyed the wolf; her tail stilling as the gears turned inside her head. She could lunge at him but that didn't seem wise, but she would have to attack before Felan could work out Kai’s fighting skill. Though she knew beforehand that this wouldn't be easy; she also didn't plan on making it easy for him either.
She thought while eyeing the wolf silently; like the predator nature had intended for her to be. Felan had decided lunge; just to get them started.

Kaiko;
"Don't go easy on me," the female grinned perhaps just at the same time Kai did "not that I think you would." Kaiko blinked slowly before replying "You're right, I don't like going easy on other wolves." he nodded "But that doesn't mean I won't let the other wolf do the first move." Kai said plain and simple. Honestly, he let someone else do the first move though he had underestimate the wolf. Kaiko exhaled deeply and he curled his lips to a small snarl, the male didn't make a sound, and he lowered his head in a defensive manner.
After she lunged at him Kai dashed to the side and continued to stay in a defensive position. He chuckled almost hyena-like, like what he always use to do. "This should be fun." he thought before twitching his tail cat-like. What else was there to do? Maybe pin her down?... No, she would most likely dodge it, perhaps make her hurt herself some how? Kai growled slightly only thinking of a way to attack.
She was to fast, faster than Kai, but that made sense; since she is much smaller than Kaiko, it was only logical that the smaller being would be faster than the bigger one. Even if Kai is fast for his size he would more than likely lose a race with Felan.
He breathed heavily before cringing his teeth and tried to pounce on the smaller female. Kai's ears flicked very fast, almost like it were propellers on a helicopter. "Ok, kid. Give me your best shot." He said, his voice almost sounding a bit raspy.

Felan;
"This should be fun." Kai commented, his laughter rising into a hyena like cackle. Felan grinned almost manically, while eyeing the other wolves movement. She was faster than Kai; but she knew when it came to brute strength that the male easily had her beat. He'd pounced but she dodged, her tail swaying from side to side from excitement. Felan really enjoyed sparing almost a little too much; she thought. "Ok, kid. Give me your best shot." Kai told her.
That she would.
Felan chuckled, head tilting. ”I should say the same to you.” she replied; in a taunting manner. She wasn't sure if the wolf would get riled up with her taunts; the female wolf honestly hoped Kai would. Though she did have a way of getting under a wolves skin, but he seemed thick skinned. Her ears twitched, mouth pulling back to reveal a set of pearly whites as she stared at the wolf in front of her. “I can take a hit or two; that is if you can manage to land one on me. Can you land one on me Kai?”
She knew if she threw herself at the wolf he'd pin her, but if she waited for an opening or for the other to tire out normally Felan would strike. Though somehow she knew that if she did wait they would both dance around each other. As much patience as the young female possessed Felan decided that she didn't want to wait for the wolf to slow in his movements. That was why she pounced right; but at the last moment Felan pivoted left when she reached him unexpectedly hoping to distract the larger male.

Kaiko;
"I can take a hit or two; that is if you can manage to land one on me. Can you land one on me Kai?"
Kaiko barely and slowly shook his head, he didn't want to answer for a few reasons but maybe not worth mentioning right now. Though he thought of ways for her to hurt herself Kai wanted her to land the first hit, see how strong she really is. He swung his head around in a circle motion before looking at Felan to see what she would do. Kaiko saw her go right, but at the last second go left, normally he would get distracted maybe but he thought this would be a good way for her to attack, so Kaiko raised his brow and tilted his head as if he were shocked.
He let a small growl escape his throat before having a quick idea of what to do next, he grinned wickedly and let a small cackle escape his maw. Kai ran next to the lake and laid on his side belly making him look a bit dead and him hoping to actually distract her and possibly make Felan curious to where she would walk up to him.
The male placed his tail to where it touched the water, dipping it. Kai just couldn't help himself, he just needed to touch the water, the water of Kai Lake. He closed his eyes partially as his expression was blank, he waited for her reaction if she is going to do anything.

Felan;
Felan skidded to a stop eyeing the wolf curiously as he'd laid over on his side, her head tilted ears perking up to listen to his steady easy breathing. She wasn't sure what he was doing. He could have grown tired of the current lesson he was teaching; and wanted to stop but she thought that wasn't the case. Kai seemed liked a strict teacher, Felan shook her head it was highly unlikely that he'd stop in the middle. Nope, he'd make her see it through just like when she was swimming. Though she was still curious nonetheless.
Her steps were slow but filled with catioution as she approached him; putting one paw in front of the other as she went. She knew that this was probably a bad idea; they were in the middle of a sparring lesson. Then Kai suddenly decided that he would take what seemed like a nap; no she wasn't buying it. This had to be some type of ploy to get her to move closer to him; with that in mind she came to a stop a few inches away from him. Felan wasn't aware just how much reach the wolf had on him but she hopped she left enough distance between them.
“Kai?” She questioned, neck stretching out a little to get a better look at him.

Kaiko;
As he laid down looking almost dead he went deep within his mind, he opened his eyes so barely, it wasn't even noticeable. He peeked to see if she would approach in which case she did, but she wasn't as close as Kaiko wanted her to be. So then Kaiko rolled over so barely that he rolled back and fell into the water, it actually was an accident. He didn't even realize he was moving his body at all. But Kaiko didn't move after that, he looked like he drowned. He didn't bother to quickly swim back up. But he did hold his breath for as long as he could and opened his eyes to see if Felan would be over the water and try to look for him, maybe this was another swimming lesson, but again Kai fell in the water by accident, so even he couldn't tell.
But Kaiko did enjoy the water touching his pelt, Kai Lake's water. It felt cool touching his skin, as he held his breath he smirked so barely. He was there for moments and moments at a time to where there was a possibility that Felan could be worried about him. Kaiko looked up and had a small idea, he blew some air but not a lot to where he would lose a lot of oxygen. When he blew some air bubbles arised and Felan would be able to see it. Kaiko continued to hold his breath but he realized he wasn't going to have much time.

Felan;
How long could he hold his breath?
A whine fell from Felans lips when she peered over the edge of the lake; seeing the wolves body sinking slowly in its depths. Kai could swim; he was teaching her but just maybe something was wrong. Things went wrong all the time, it was part of nature to throw obstacles in the way. She hadn't known the wolf for a long time, but she'd definitely being enjoying his company and the training. Of course she wouldn't sit by and watch any wolf drown not if she could stop it; there was nothing wrong with lending a paw every once in a while.
Could this have been a swimming lesson? Another whine left her, he'd been under too long for her liking.
With that thought in mind and the little few air bubbles that reached the surface, she'd jumped into the water yet again. Not bracing herself for the change in body temperature; the waters were getting colder with the change of each season. She'd prefered when it was warmer. Felan stuck her head under trying to find Kai before it was too late. She'd shivered at the thought of that being the outcome.

Kaiko;
He couldn't take it anymore, he needed air. If this were a different situation he would let himself drown, fulfil his life long dream. But no, he couldn't. Kai let out some more air bubbles accidentally, he was trying to groan and now at any second he is going to drown. Kai quickly swam up but then he could see Felan's legs swimming, she was trying to look for him? Did she actually cared about him? Kaiko stood under water for just three seconds before swimming back up but before he reached the surface he intended to pull Felan under, it was only a playful joke, it would be no harm done if she was under water for just a few seconds. Kai grinned a little as he finally did reach the top "Did I get you by surprise?" he said, wether or not he had pulled her under.
Kaiko then went to solid ground and sat down, not shaking any water on his pelt "I think we needed to cool down, right?" he chuckled looking at the fiery female. He yawned a little but he wasn't tired, well, maybe he was tired of running from before. He looked up and he could see the sun starting to set "Already?" he questioned himself and glanced at Felan again "Look kid, the sun's going down..." he said, almost slowly.

Felan;
Without warning Felan was tugged underneath the water; a squeal leaving her mouth as the water engulfed her and entered her mouth. Though her instincts had kicked in making her return to the surface a moment later. She'd narrowed her eyes when she saw the older male swimming next to her with a small grin on his face. He'd asked if he surprised her, of course he did Felan thought but didn't voice it out loud. A few seconds ago she thought he was drowning; but now she was currently thinking about drowning him herself. Though she guessed that it was good that he'd had some sense of humor. This was the first time she'd seen him smile even if it was a small one.
He swam out of the lake. Felan had silently followed behind him, she was a little upset about what he'd done; but she figured she'll get over it soon enough. She hadn't been mad about being tricked it was just the fact that she'd actually thought he was in danger. Though she didn't know if she could even pull his huge body from the water if he was drowning; but she was sure that she'd attempt it. A yawn slipped past her mouth right when Kai mentioned the setting sun; she stared up at it; ears perked atop her head as she listened to the fading sounds of the chirping birds. Her stomach growled reminding her that she hadn't eaten much today; she glanced over towards Kai. Wondering if the other wolf was hungry as well; It was possible since they'd been together most of the day.
”Feeling up to looking for some food with me?” Felan asked; stifling a yawn as she stood and stretched.
Of course she could go by herself as tired as she was feeling she couldn't sleep on an empty stomach. Though if he decided he wanted rest; she'd bring him back something to eat as well. Felan hadn't done that in a while hunted for someone else other than herself.

Kaiko;
Right as he glanced at the small fiery female she had yawned, which for some reason a moment after she did, Kaiko yawned too. He cocked a brow and questioned himself "Why did I just yawn?" he thought before rolling his bulky shoulders back. Kai closed his eyes just a little as she asked if he was up for getting food with her, Kaiko stood quiet for a moment or two, wondering what he should say. Then he looked at her with a sly smirk "Don't worry, you can rest while I hunt. I'm not that tired anyways." he nodded and turned around and started trotting away, hoping she would listen and rest and wait until he came back with something to eat.
It was actually surprising, first Kaiko was helping someone to get a power and now he was helping some one to find food, something was wrong with him! Kaiko's expression went blank as he trotted further away from Felan. Then he spotted three hares, he tilted his head and crouched down. The rabbits were asleep, that was actually surprising. Kaiko growled but very, very quietly to himself, he was mad that he never truly got to see anyone suffer when he attacks. He killed his adoptive father when he was a teenaged pup but by then the old hag was old and weak and couldn't fight back. Then he had killed his entire pack, one by one of course, but he didn't really get to see them suffer. Kai killed his adoptive siblings and he heard a few cries here and there but they weren't satisfying.
Kaiko shook his head trying to come back to reality and he crawled to the sleepy hares. He was so quiet he didn't wake on up, he then quickly bit one in the neck which was the nice plump one and the rest woke up and ran off. Kaiko quickly dropped the dead plumped rabbit and chased the others. It took him about three minutes but he caught the other two and he placed all three in a pile, now how to bring it back.
The male then puts his snout under a hare and places it on his snout while he tried to carefully grab the other by the neck. He then slowly tried to trot back to Felan but by the time he was half way the one on his snout had fell, Kaiko ignored it and then when he got to Felan he placed it in front of her. He didn't say a word but instead he just quickly ran back to get the other two, he of course didn't want some one else eating his kill. At some point Kaiko brought back the rest of his catch and he sat down and ate one. He left the two for Felan if she wanted it, but if she didn't Kaiko would eat it in less then two minutes. Kaiko then lays flat on his belly and yawns again before glancing at her.

Felan;
Another yawn left her mouth as she watched the male disappear in search of food for the both of them; he'd suggested that she rest. Felan would have rather went to help hunt but figured that Kai wanted to do it on his own. He hadn't struck her as the type of wolf to hunt for someone else other than himself; then again they'd only known each other for a short period of time. Though she was already willing to brave deep waters if he needed her too; but she could admit that she was rather comfortable with the wolf. The two were bonding; slowly, but bonding nonetheless. She'd never had a father figure type of wolf in her life; but Felan hadn't really searched for one either. Her father who'd she'd never met was a rover; he'd left her mother soon as he'd gotten wind of her carrying a litter. The wolf had been a coward in her eyes she'd never wanted to find him. They'd been better off without him.
She'd closed her eyes for a few moments, leveling out her breathing as today's events washed over her. Felan had previously stated that she wouldn't stay too long, but her plans were changing. Kai seemed to like her company and she didn't mind hanging around Kai lake for a while. If she was honest Felan hadn't belonged anywhere else; her life though short had consisted with her roaming from place to place. After what happened to her small family is just thought it was best to not settle in one place for too long. Besides Kai and her still had a lot of training to do which meant there was a reason for her to stick around; and maybe if Kai was another reason. She would have to figure that out later on.
Felan had fallen asleep; only to be awaken moments later by a small thump and the smell of food close to her nose. Making her stomach growl as her eyes opened; mouth salivating with the anticipation of biting into it. She'd looked up to thank the wolf but he'd trotted off again in the direction that he came from. The female had only shrugged before ripping into the hare; and pulling it's meat from the carcass. Kai had returned minutes later with two more hares in his mouth before eating one himself; the only thing that could be heard between the two was the meals being consumed. She'd yawned again; eyes feeling heavy and belly full of the hare, Felan pushed the last one towards Kai. Seeing that he was bigger he'd probably need to eat more but she wasn't sure if he was still hungry or not.
“So Kai,” She began while resting her head on top of her stretched out legs. The small female was tired and would likely fall asleep the moment her eyes closed; but she'd wanted to talk to the other wolf. Just for a few minutes to get to know him a little more; if he was feeling up to it. She wouldn't push him of course though she was curious about the other. “Why are you so fond of Kai lake anyway? Is it because of the name?”

Kaiko;
He watched as Felan pushed the other hare to him, in all honesty, he was so close to just snatching the dead hare away from her "I did catch it and I shouldn't even need to share..." Kai thought, but it had been already too late to snatch it. She was actually willing to give Kaiko the food? Well, it didn't matter now. Kaiko quickly ate the hare until there was nothing left of it, he glanced again and Felan only to see her yawn and ask him a question "So Kai," he saw her rest her head on her stretched out legs "Why are you so fond of Kai Lake anyway? Is it because of the name?" Kaiko closed his eyes partially right before speaking the words "That's a story you'll have to wait in the morning," Kai shook his head and twitched his eyes "You'll more than likely fall asleep if I tell you the whole story and knowing myself... I wouldn't like that." Kaiko layed on his belly and thought of something else to talk about, though he wasn't really one for small talk, to him telling stories was just for entertainment. But there was something about Felan that he couldn't help but like. "I'll tell you a different story..." he said while glancing at Felan one last time and he then breathed deeply.
"I was born in a pack called Red Aldin... I've been raised to serve others, I was a servant..." Kaiko merely growled when he mentioned his old pack's name and how he was a servant. "I always had to obey my.. Older siblings, but I NEVER did... So I would always get punished for it. Over a brief period of time I got so used to it I never cared when my pack would punish me... I never showed fear and I guess that's what that hag l-l-l-liked about me... " Kai flattened his ears and growled again quietly when he mentioned hag.
It was his adoptive father, but Kaiko had been lied to and had been always told that he was his actual father. Most likely Felan wouldn't know what he was talking about, of course it had to have been someone he hated. Kaiko continued with his story.
"No one ever showed emotion towards me except for hatred and jealousy. I had never liked anyone in that pack, not even one itty-bitty bit. I knew one day I had to take them out, one by one, I waited until I was strong enough and thats when I took that Old Hag out. It was just me and him and sadly he was old so he didn't put much of a fight..." The male said while glancing at the ground and chuckling silently.
"After he was gone I immediately took place as Alpha since I was his son that showed strength no showed no fear whatsoever. None of my siblings were stronger than me and most of them were cowards. Either way, I took everyone else out, one by one, until there was no one left..." Kaiko finished and he quickly looked at the smaller female to see if she had fallen asleep.
Her eyes were closed so she must have been. Kaiko layed a foot away from her and he wondered if he should sleep too, what kf someone approaches them while they're asleep? Kaiko does easily wake up but that's why he was close enough to Felan just im case danger lurked about.
Not long after Kaiko had fallen asleep as well and his breathing was slow and (for once) calm.
-Time Shift-
The sun rised and clouds covered the sky, Kaiko was awake before dawn and the whole time he was watching his own reflection. He looked at the fiery female and blinked slowly "Ready to hear my other story?" he said casually as he only shifted his neck while he sat on his haunches.

Felan;
The small she-wolf laughed as he told her she would fall asleep on him if he choose to tell her about why he liked Kai lake. He hadn't been wrong; she'd been moving all day almost non-stop and it was finally catching up to her in exhaustion. It'd make for a good sleep though, so she couldn't complain. Her ears perked up at the thought of another story, a bedtime story. Felan hadn't had one of those since she was a pup; though she thoroughly enjoyed hearing stories of the past or any kind.
“Can't pass up story time.” She chuckled, eyes opening to peer over at the other wolf. He'd never been one for overly happy expressions; though the look he wore now hinted that this story wasn't going to be a happy one. With that in mind she listened intensively to the other wolf as he spoke; deciding that she wouldn't interrupt him. Kai told her of his past life, living with a pack whose only purpose was to subject him to a life of servitude, and punishments if he rebelled. She'd never understood the purpose in condemning another to slavery; or what sort of gratification they could gain from it. Felan was young, but she knew the world wasn't a kind place it'd shown her that much first-hand. Sometimes when dealing with monsters, it was best to mirror them or become a shell of something much worse. Though she understood why he'd seek out revenge; and judgement wasn't given as he continued to tell her how he gave them what he'd been given.
Felan shut her eyes, but didn't search for sleep just yet because the story wasn't finished. He killed all of them, and a small part of her hated that the lives were lost. Though the other part had seen the justice that had been served; and she knew that they'd never be able to do what they did to Kai to another. It'd been enough, enough for her to see a glimpse of why Kai was who he was now. The other had stopped talking moments ago; she'd opened her eyes to see that his eyes were shut and breathing had slowed. Kai had fallen asleep.
A yawn left her, before she scooted closer to him but she'd made sure to leave a few inches between them. Then she followed suit, and was sleep in the next few minutes.
-Time shift-
She stretched upon waking up from her slumber, when she opened her eyes Felan had to shut them again before slowly opening them as they adjusted to the light. A yawn fell from her mouth. The she-wolf then turned spotting Kai sitting at the river gazing down into it.
“Ready to hear my other story?” He asked, while starting over at her.
“I'm ready.” She responded.

Kaiko;
"I'm ready." Felan said. Kaiko nodded a little before slowly approaching her and sitting down again. "They say I was born in Kai Lake, and because of that they always told me I would control it's waters... As you can see now, I'm really close to controlling it." He glanced at his power marking for a few moments and sighed quietly to himself. He wanted to control the water now, but he had to wait until he had enough practice. Kaiko continued to tell his story "When I was born... I was born on a day called "The day of the dead" and because of that I guess that's why I'm the way I am, The Day Of The Dead was always celebrated on a full moon. My pack had a ritual called "Dance Of Death", it's where wolves would pray to Geist and howl and dance all night."
Kaiko then realized he actually said Geist's name, the last time he saw her Kaiko didn't call her by "Geist". But there was a small change in him that told him it might be better to start saying wolves full name.... And he even realized, the whole time he was with Felan, he not once said her name. But back to the story.
"I didn't really care for it, I just always liked the sound of it, Dance of Death. The real reason why I like Kai Lake is because... This is where that old Hag died, where I killed him and the rest of those maggots." he looked down and started to wonder what would happen in the future. As he stared at his paws he spoke his story sternly "After they were gone I was left alone for a long time... Wondering why I am still alive, and for the longest time I tried to just end my life, what do I have to live for anyways?" Kaiko then slowly looked at Felan, wondering what her expression might be. He still had a story to tell, and he was close to finishing "But everytime I try to end my life, every time I go to sleep, I always have these "visions" that I'm still alive because I need to take someone out... I don't know who though..." Kai looked down again and shook his head. He wished he knew who he needed to kill so that way he can finally be one with death, but who knows how long until he finally gets to even see death.
He then thought of his future pack, he wanted to start a pack! Kaiko looked at Felan "Fel, I need you to do me a favor..." he said standing up and rolling his shoulders back "Remember how I said I'm gonna own Barren Waste soon?" Kaiko said as he gave her a few moments to reply.
"Well... I'm gonna need you to scar me." he said casually as he straightened himself up. A scar is what he needed, or at least wanted if he was going to soon start his pack. There was a small feeling that he wished Felan would join, but then again she doesn't seem like the type to join a pack... Or at least an evil one.

Felan;
“As you can see now, I'm really close to controlling it." Kai told her. The she-wolf's gaze followed his only to stop on the mark that signified he'd had a power. He was right though he was close to controlling it's waters; and every other one he choose to control. Kai continued telling her about the rituals he'd done when he was in his pack; Felan didn't know about pack rituals. It was interesting to hear about them; about Kai's past though it took a slightly morbid turn. When he told her the truth about why Kai lake was his home; he'd killed the wolves that tortured him here. Then took comfort in that fact by claiming Kai lake as his; it wasn't something she'd do. Though to each is own; the other wolves weren't exactly saints. It reminded her of a saying her mother used to repeat when she referred to horrible wolves. If one lived by the the tips of their claws, they’d died by the tips of them; meaning what went around came back.
Though her body seemed to stiffen when Kai mentioned that he tried to kill himself, her mouth parted as he turned to look at her before continuing to speak and she looked down in thought. If he'd succeeded in killing himself then they'd never have met; and she couldn't fathom that thought. Even if it had been a short time since they met; it'd seemed like they’d known each other longer and she knew it would hurt to lose the other. She'd glanced back up when he mentioned having visions when he attempted to off himself.
“Kai, maybe you're not supposed to die by your own paws and if you do everything you've done so far would be for no reason. You can't control the waters if your dead.” She said, knowing very well that you couldn't escape dying. It was a churning cycle and at some point; everyone’s time would be up but that didn't mean that it should be cut short.
Her ears perked up when he called her, and she couldn't help but grin at the nickname, but her brow would rise at the request of a favor. “I'm listening,” she nodded for him to continue, and as he did he reminded her of the pack he was going to start. “I remember.”
"Well... I'm gonna need you to scar me." He said, casually.
Her head tilted slightly in question. He was serious, but when wasn't he? A sigh left her before she stood up and stretched. “Fine, I'll do it.”
The corners of her mouth pulled up into a mischievous smirk. “Though just so you know if you do manage to kill yourself; after it's my turn to cross into the next life.” She chuckled a little. “I'll find you, and make sure to torment you for the rest of eternity. Trust me you won’t like me when I'm pissed.”
It was an afterthought; one that would be wise to consider the next time he thought about ending it.
