::Lydia succeeds in leaping forward with the speed of the moving earth. Kodi lunges for her leg but misses, as the ground around his feet is still soft. Lydia's jaw close around Kodi's throat powerfully. She does sling over his back, as intended, but she does not weigh enough to move the larger wolf. Her jaws stay clamped around his throat, but she slides off his back, now in a dangerous position in front of and below him. Her hind legs miss their mark of his abdomen, but do succeed in scratching the soft meat of his inner back legs.::

Everything was a blur as her body flew forward, her jaws meeting the dangling, soft flesh of the male's neck. Her jaws closed tightly around the throat as she swung over and around her opponent. As her head moved, she bit harder into the fur and flesh of the male, unwilling to give up her grip. As she landed, her back claws caused a laceration in the tender inner flank of the wounded male; she couldn't tell how deep it was yet. As her movement reached its close, she began formulating her next move. Her weight, even when combined with the momentum from the earth still wasn't enough to knock the brown male over. She knew if she gave up her position now, the fight may drag on for too long. Ans so she resolved to find a way back on top of him. If she was trampled under his large paws, the fight would be over, and she would end up dead.
She didn't come here to die.
Lydia, not yet trapped under her opponent, closed her eyes tight and pushed her ability, creating a sort of sandy sludge from the soil she had already placed on Kodiac's mask, then hardened the ground where she had previously softened it. She felt that she would not be very effective with her power after this exertion and chose to let it rest, the tattoo fading. However, the sludge should block his primary airway-his nose; and smear his vision with the grainy mess. Lydia then would propel off of the hard ground, grip on his throat never loosening, and hopefully, if he didn't want his windpipe to be crushed, he would rear back or turn his head away. If he reacted like so, she would use his unbalanced stance to knock him on his side and get atop of him. If that didn't happen, he would most likely get a crushed windpipe; she was going to push very hard. Opening her eyes, she acted.
(Kodi isn't okay to die, is he?)

(NO!! He's going to fall in love with Jea, adopt some orphaned puppies, and then 'die' again in the war before coming back the year after to find Jea again. Kodi must live! I'm not that mean to poor Jea, but almost dying is perfect... *Smiles evily*) Kodiac: Kodi yelped as her fangs sank into his neck, and even louder as they dragged along his neck in slow motion. It left her dangling under him, but Kodi was in too much pain to think clearly. He looked down, saw her there, and panicked. He stumbled backwards, his paws scrambling for any footing, including her. His head was trying to thin of a plan, and then it hit him, he could just trample her. Then he noticed that that was almost what he was doing. So he thrush his head down, hoping to get her scruff or her neck. Then he saw a soft green glow inside of a orange flower. His eyes widened, and he stopped dead.

::When Lydia hardens the soft ground once more, Kodi's back left paw (which had sunk into the earth from his weight) becomes stuck fast. He will no longer be able to free his leg unless he pulls terrifically hard, which will result in breaking the foot. Kodi misses the scruff of Lydia's neck, but the power with which he pulls his head down frees his neck of her jaws—opening a small artery in the meantime. He will have to do something drastic, and soon, or risk losing conciousness from blood loss in the near future. As Kodi throws his head down, Lydia succeeds in knocking him over and landing on top of him. Because of his trapped foot, he cannot throw her off.
Kodi did, however, succeed in stomping Lydia's paw above the ankle. It is her front paw. No bones were broken, but it hurt, and not only will she be slowed, attacks with the front paws will now do less damage.

So many things were happening in such short a time. This was, afterall, the nature of a fight. Often, it happened too fast for wolves to think through what was happening. Luckily for Lydia, she was a veteran of such brawls. She succeeded in knocking her opponent over, his body hitting the ground with a thud. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted his paw, trapped in a crusty tomb in the earth. She hadn't even realized she had done this. Fighting was an art of chance and strategy, strength and agility. Often a wolf is not aware of what effect their action have taken. Luckily for Lydia, this accident was to her advantage. Her form was not perfect, however, his flesh ripped from her jaws. Only a drop of blood reached her tongue, angering the slight shewolf. She wanted more. She swiftly examined his wound, a vein had been punctured. It wouldn't kill him, if she left him alone he would pass out and the blood would clot, leaving him weak, but alive. Tragically, for him, she was here. She would kill him if he stayed. She was winning and unless he miraculously turned the tides or ran, he would live. Lydia wasn't the fastest wolf, and with her wounds, she didn't particularly wish to 'play chase.' She hadn't even noticed her paw getting stomped on, but now that she looked at it the pain throbbed into her mind.
With a snarl she swiftly made to untangle herself from his legs, ready to pin him down. After pressing her three good paws into his side, she would use her power to soften the earth once more around his body, hopefully further preventing a recovery. Unfortunately his paw would be set free, but that was a price she was willing to pay. If she was feeling well enough about her power-and if this headache wouldn't get worse-she would harden the earth again around where his body sank, locking him in. She couldn't turn the soil into stone, and so he could probably escape if he really wanted to. Which, at this point, he probably did. "silly puppy," she murmured. "I never liked pups." Probably because she couldn't have any. but that was beside the point. And with that she leaped in for the kill.

Kodiac: Already Kodi was feeling woozy. Then more and more adrenaline rippled through him, waking him up. With a surge of strength he yanked his foot out of the ground, feeling and hearing it break. A wet, sicking ss-NAP! He wanted to get to his paws, but his back paw hurt too much to stand, even as high as he was on adrenaline. His growl was amplified, almost to ear-splitting. That and a tremble to his voice because he knew he was trapped. The ground was softening around him, then it hardened. His eyes, already as wide as his paws, got even wider. Even more adrenaline rushed through his body as he despretly yanked himself up, and lashed out with all he had at her. That meant he was resting on his broken back paw, causing pain to shoot up his spine. Blood gushed from his neck wounds, the laceration on his leg, the bites and gashes. Then he spotted the leg bone.
Kodi dived for it, grabbing it with his mouth and trying to thrust it into Lydia's side. His multi-colored eyes were wide with fear and pain, and sorrow. He was sorry he was doing this to her, no matter what she did to him. He would feel sorry for her.

::Since Lydia had softened the dirt around Kodi's paw before he pulled it loose, he manages not to break it, but the pain is almost as bad as if he did. The only difference is that it will heal on its own, and will not require White Magic. As Lydia pushes him down into the dirt, attempting to trap him once more, Kodi growls again and intensifies the headache she is no doubt already feeling. Because of this, Lydia is slow on the uptake, and though the ground does harden around Kodi's middle, (he can escape if he focuses his strength and works at it), he locks one of the paws she is pushing him with in his mouth. It is the paw he already stomped, but this time Lydia will not escape so easily. Unless Lydia manages to free her leg from his mouth, he will shatter it and it will require White Magic. :: **Kodi will pass out from blood loss in TWO more modded replies.

It was not long now.
His bark, at such close proximity slammed a whole new wall of pain into her skull. Lydia flattened her ears down on her neck, growling fiercely at the pain. She wouldn't let such a wolf defeat her, and victory was almost hers! He successfully freed his paw, only to become loosely trapped halfway in the ground. His wounds were bleeding at a steady pace as the creamy shewolf dominated him. However, one of her forceful paws had gotten caught in his jaws, his fangs gripping fiercely. Panicking slightly, she tugged ferociously, frightened at the possibility of a maimed paw. Travesty could try and bind it if it ended up crushed, but Lydia would no longer be as capable as she was now, and could be-quite possibly-demoted. Once she freed her paw, Lydia would rip at his belly with her back legs, not wanting to further endanger her throbbing paw. Then, she could finish this fight. He would run out of stamina and give up and...right at this moment she didn't know if she would kill him or not. It wasn't important, as long as she won.

Kodiac: It wouldn't be long now.
He would die in the place he had once called home. He was stuck in the ground, he could feel the dirt molded to his sides. Now he was in a frantic 'live or die' frenzy. He wanted to get back on his paws, back into a fighting position. He was trying to yank himself up when he noticed her paw in his mouth. He made a small noise in surprise, but then tightened his grip. Thrashing his head in a hope to yank her along, his front paws tried to rake at whatever was closest to them. His hope was to get her off balance, then to yank his head to the side and make her fall to the ground. There his front paws and single good back paw would be waiting to tear her neck and belly. For good measure, he tried to use his power again.

::When Lydia panics and tugs at her paw, she times it wrong and pulls at just the moment Kodiac tightened his jaws. She succeeds in freeing it from his strong bite, but breaks some smaller bones in the process. It will heal on its own, but it will cause her pain for weeks and if she is not careful, it will heal improperly and she will be left with a permanent limp. This could be avoided by a visit to White Magic. Lydia does, however, succeed in raking her back claws against Kodi's stomach, though the power is lacking because of the pain in her broken front paw, and she is slow in getting up again. Before she is able to stand, the larger male begins ripping into her neck. Kodi's attacks are all weakened now, and he is dizzy. He will black out in the NEXT modded reply.::

CURSE THE POWER
Lydia's eyes widened, the orbs nearly popping from her skull as her paw was ripped free, her throat gashed. Her thin fur was no good at protecting her skin. She wouldn't die from this wound, could she? She was standing, though she was weak now. She didn't feel weak, the pain a pounding white noise in the background. She had to finish this before he finished her. He would pass out soon, and she didn't want to be around when he woke up, so she had to leave. And soon. Tugging and ripping at the face attacking her, she flailed in her wild attempt to free herself. Once she did she would slip through the stones with her thin, and now blood-slicked, body, leaving the scene. She'd have to find Travesty and get cleaned up.

Kodiac: Kodi couldn't see strait anymore. He felt like his head was filled with water, and his eyelids had stones hanging from them. His nerves however worked just fine, because every hit, every scratch, his paw, they throbbed and sent sharp pangs all the way up his spine at least every second. Still, he kept at it. Black dots started dancing in his vision, and the world was turning this way and that. If he had been standing, he would have fallen over after a good amount of staggering.
His large head hit the ground, and he stopped fighting. He was almost certain that she was out of his claw range anyways, now maybe he could sleep? Who cared anyways, she could kill him now if she wanted. But through his now very foggy vision she wasn't anywhere in his line of sight. So, he could fall asleep without worry. With one last herculean effort, he tried to wrench himself out of the ground unsuccessfully. Hu, that should have been easier.

::The fight is over. Lydia has escaped with tail between legs, and Kodi has passed out, still half submerged in the dirt.::Acribus had watched the whole thing play out. His tongue was lolling, and his eyes were bright, staring the way that Lydia had gone. Coward. Kodi fought like him. He fought until he could no longer fight. Though whether or not the male was as smart as him was up for debate. Acribus leaped onto the top of the rocks, letting his gaze brush over the unconcious wolf. Lydia should have killed him. Why run off? "Who won that one?" Acribus wheezed to the crowd of onlookers. "The female, technically... but I don't classify anyone that runs from conflict as a winner." He shrugged his thin shoulders and leapt to a higher outcropping of rock. If anyone argued he would call it a win, but otherwise he was inclined to think of it as a draw. "Someone will have to clean that up." He nodded to Kodi. "And who's next? Who thirsts for blood and a desire to prove themself?" A wicked grin played at the corners of his mouth, yellow-stained teeth peeking out from cracked lips. ((I think that Lydia did win actually though because Kodi passed out. Also, it is supposed to be Ares and Daemon next but both Raging and Spira are MIA. Shall we move on to Genoci and Odin? @pittypat Persecutor Kaiju ))

I mean, if everyone else is okay with it?))
Brown, yellow and green fur strode into the ring, a determined and devilish look in Genoci's eyes as he strode to one side of the circle. He stopped, and turned around, head held high as he looked to the wolf that was up on top of the ring. He dipped his head slightly in greeting, then looked to the unconcious body of a wolf. An upside down grin that showed deadly sharp teeth appeared on his lips. "Left overs of last battle, I presume." Genoci's voice was gruff, and ever so low. "I am ready to fight." he barked, the noise coming out as a roar mostly, a dull roar, but a roar nonetheless.
((Let's do this!))

Odin: Odin sighed, annoyed. "I guess I'm on cleanup duty." He wrenched the bloody brown male out of the dirt, not caring that his fangs caused more wounds. He dragged the wolf away from the arena, tossing him to the ground not far away. He wasn't Odin issue anymore, he could go back and prove his metal.
"Well, the last ones are out of the way," Odin smirked, eyes crinkling in amusement. "That means I'm up." He then tossed the white pelt he wore everywhere to the side, snowing off his Nordic armor patterned pelt. Muscles ripped under that coat like cords of rope and well oiled gears. He was no where near small either, he would be no easy defeat.
"Shall we?"
