Temasek Sup, fellas.
Temasek Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Temasek is home to the neutral wolves of the Valley. They form no alliances; they wage no war. They strive to embody the neutrality their faction speaks of. Instead, Temasek is the healing hand of the Valley. They provide shelter, food, peace, within their borders. Do not be lulled into thinking that the wolves of this pack are pushovers - no, they are strong, they are fierce, they will tear down any and all who seek to destroy them - as easily as they extend a hand to those who require the help. Temasek are the peacekeepers, the Valley's silent shadows. Plans: For this pack to be the peacekeepers as mentioned above. You can ask them to mediate conflicts, to assist with events, or even host events within their territory! Temasek will not form any alliances with or independently declare war on other packs. Temasek also freely offers its services as mages and healers, but they will not offer their soldiers - they are purely for defense of the pack. This pack allows for freedom of development - characters may come and go as they please, but should not stray for too long a period of time. Characters are also free to focus on developing their talents in physical activities like hunting, sparring, or the magical areas. Characters will also wear feathers of certain birds to represent their ranks. The Gathering Tree: At the heart of the Hidden Glade is a tree that seems taller than the rest. This is the tree that all Temasek congregates under for meetings and the like. In time it will come to be known as the Gathering Tree. Founding Characters: Ilana (L), and YOU, if you’re interested! Pack Name: Temasek Territory: Hidden Glade Founder: Ilana Valdís First: Ilana Valdís First: - Second: - Second: - Third: - Third: - Fourth [M]: - Fourth [F]: - Male Pups: - Female Pups: - Descriptions of ranks All ranks are challengeable for! [2] First: The First fulfills the alpha role in Temasek. Though the pack takes no side in any wars or petty squabbles to be fought, the First may decide for the pack whether to offer assistance as mediators or diplomats. The First also decides whether to allow gatherings to be hosted within their land, as well as the usual alpha duties - acceptance, decision making, etc. At any point in time there may not be more than two wolves holding the First rank. The First wears the tail feather of the Eurasian Skylark, a small, humble bird to remind them that as leaders they must serve the pack with their whole heart. The first shall be the last. [2] Second: The Second fulfills the beta role in Temasek. Second in command to the First, the Second may undertake all duties of the First when the Firsts are absent or incapacitated. The Second may accept wolves, kick them, and assign ranks within the pack. In the event that both Firsts (if there are two) should die or leave the pack, the Second automatically assumes the First position. There is, and will be no heirs. At any point in time there may not be more than two wolves holding the Second rank. The Second wears the flight feather of the Goose to remind them that as the second-in-commands, they must support the pack just as geese support each other during their flights. [2] Third: The Third fulfills the gamma rank in Temasek. They may accept wolves into the pack, but may not kick them. They are the strategists, the stalwart trainers of the pack’s warriors in the case that Temasek should be driven to battle. At any point in time there may not be more than two wolves holding the Third rank. The Third wears the white crest feather of the Bald Eagle, to remind them to keep their minds sharp and teeth sharper.[1] Emissary: The wolf who holds this rank is essentially a diplomat, who is sent on diplomatic missions by the Firsts if necessary. Their actual place in the hierarchy is that of a Fourth; Emissary is for offical purposes. At any point in time there may not be more than one wolf holding the Emissary rank. The Emissary wears the breast feather of the Dove, the to think from the heart, and always strive for peace. The Emissary may carry an olive branch with them if they wish.[Unlimited] Fourth: The Fourth fulfills the subordinate role in Temasek. Within the Fourth ranks, there are sub-ranks like Mage, Soldier, Scout, and Healer. The wolf may choose to take a sub-rank, or none at all - it makes no difference to Avis and the hierarchy - the sub-ranks are mainly for classification. They may refer to themselves with that sub-rank instead of Fourth, if they wish. These wolves may not accept wolves who seek to join, but may welcome them until any of the higher ranks appears. While all wolves should help in the hunt, the Fourths are the lifeblood of the pack - they hunt, patrol, and generally ensure the pack runs. Wolves are not limited to their sub-rank’s duties. They may perform any duty, but their main tasks will fall within their sub-rank. All Fourths wear the back feather of the Sparrow, a common bird, to represent solidarity with brethren within Temasek. All specialised Fourths wear the Fourth’s feather, and the wing feather of their respective birds. - Mage: Wolves with powers who wish to focus mainly on developing their magic. The Mage wears the brown wing feather of the Owl, for wisdom in magic.
- Soldier: Wolves with or without magic who choose to serve as the pack’s defense, and, if necessary, offense. They wear the wing feather of the Bald Eagle, for if the Third is the mind, then the Soldier is the executor.
- Scout: Wolves who prefer to roam, scouting other lands and patrolling the borders as their main task. They wear the wing feather of the Hummingbird, for fleetness of foot.
- Healer: Wolves who specialise in the medicinal arts, healers are in high demand and greatly appreciated. They may find themselves embarking on diplomatic healing missions! The Healer wears the wing feather of the Swift, to respond quickly to all who need their help.
Pack Law I. To betray Temasek is treason; it will not go unpunished II. A child is another mouth to feed. Permission will be obtained from the First(s) before breeding III. Politics are not a trivial matter. There shall be no formation of alliances or declarations of war IV. Pack before self; all are to contribute to the wellbeing of Temasek V. Ranks are awarded through merit, not favour, nor mateship
Festivals, Events, and Traditions Initiation Ceremony: At that age of 1, or when a wolf joins, the wolf steps up to prove themselves to the pack. A joyous occasion - all Temasek travels with the wolf to locate the bird of choice. Once found, the bird must be brought down bloodlessly and one feather removed. The wolf is successful if no blood has been shed, the bird flies after, and a feather is retrieved. If the wolf is successful, all the pack rejoices with the wolf; if not, the wolf is free to try again whenever they want, as long as the season permits. Wedding: The Firsts officiate the ceremony when two wolves wish to be joined in matrimony. It is expected that the wolves remain together for the duration of their lives, but Avis was conceived out of wedlock, and does not view marriage with as much severity as others may. The wolves may receive small gifts from their packmates as congratulations, or they may not. Birth: Permission from the Firsts must be obtained to breed, regardless of marital status. When a child is born, the dam keeps it with her for a day and a night, before the child is shown to the rest of the pack as soon as the sun begins to rise on the next day. They will only officially be given a name in front of the pack on their tenth day; puphood is a dangerous time, so names are withheld until the pup’s survival is guaranteed. Funeral: A time for mourning, a time for pain. The deceased will be buried by the Gathering Tree, so that their spirits are forever tied to the land. Wolves may deliver their eulogies, and a vigil may be held. The deceased's belongings may go to each wolf who was a friend of theirs, to keep them in remembrance. Spring Festival: Held on the first day of spring to herald the new year, a Gathering is hosted within the lands (but not in the heart) of Temasek’s territory. All wolves regardless of alleigance are welcomed under the banner of peace. The wolf makes a small cut on their foot and wets the entrance soil with their blood, binding them with a vow not to enact violence against another, or cause strife. This is a time to release grudges, and make merry! Temasek wolves are expected to be gracious hosts to their guests, but may chase them out if they break their vow to maintain peace within the lands. Equinoxes: On the days of the Equinox, where the day and night are equal, the wolves of Temasek will often call a hunt in the name of their patron White Wolf, Sheba. A portion of the catch is left at the base of the mountain where they reside; alternatively, it may be directly offered to Sheba, or burnt. While the White Wolves are not worshipped, it is nice to leave a thank-you gift. Summer Solstice: On the longest day of the year, the pack hunts for Taboo, patron of the good-aligned wolves. The wolves will do the same as they do for the Equinox hunts. Winter Solstice: On the longest night of the year, the pack hunts for Geist. Unlike the other hunts, the pack hunts during the night. They will do the same as the other hunts, if only to pacify Geist. Challenges: Only three types of challenges are permitted within Temasek. They are: - Rank Challenge: A challenge for rank. The victor either successfully defends or gains the desired rank. The loser may be demoted (if they were challenged), or will remain in their previous rank. Once a wolf has won the challenge, they will be immune for an OOC month and an IC season.
- Spar: Very rarely are participating wolves severely maimed, and if they are, compensation is expected to be given. A spar is an informal practice fight, and is not restricted to a one-on-one. Deaths should not occur.
- Death Match: A life for a life, a Death Match is no laughing matter. Should two wolves wish to invoke the challenge, they are bound to obey the rules of the Death Match. One wolf lives; one wolf dies. There is no escape. There is no submission. The wolves will swear upon their lives not to exit the challenge ring until one of them lies cold upon the ground. They do so by mixing their blood at the entrance to the challenge ring before stepping in. If they step out alive, both lives are forfeit. A Death Match may not be called without prior permission from the Firsts, and the pack is to spectate to bear witness to the finished job. To the bitter end.

Dzvezda Seren Arevik To the north there lies a mountain unlike any other in existence. White Wolf Mountain is home to the Power, a magical entity that watches over the land and, more importantly, the wolves. The Power touches all the wolves in the mountain's valley and allows for prosperity and peace. However, the Power is unpredictable. Mortal wolves may journey to White Wolf Mountain seeking out the legendary White Wolves; magical beings created by the Power itself. These wolves belie gifts of magic to mortals they deem worthy, this magic being called power. Many generations have passed since the time of the Great Fire and the land is beginning to prosper once more. Wolves are beginning to venture into the Mountain, hearing the siren call of the Power. The urge to explore the magic that is White Wolf Mountain is strong. Can you resist the call? setting Welcome to White Wolf Mountain! WWM is an intermediate-level, semi-fantasy, wolf RPG. The wolf characters here at WWM live in a valley in the shadow of the majestic White Wolf Mountain. Its the Mountain that makes this place so special. In its heart resides the Power that the White Wolves share with the mortal wolves living here! WWM was founded way back in 2003, and has been going strong ever since. This is its fifth home, hence WWM5 and is one of the more advanced versions. We welcome intermediate level roleplayers who have a decent grasp on grammar, sentence structure and post quality.
